PURPLE 4EVER

Look for a 20-4A sweep this week. The smartest thing 20-4A teams did was avoid playing Dayton before district. Also looks like some SETX sports dot com 19-4A fans will be buying some pink shirts soon.

Last year Merka had a really good running back that gave them a legitimate 1 - 2 punch running combination from the backfield. I believe that running back graduated, they do have a platoon of running backs, but I don't think they are as good as the one from last year. The key to beating Crosby is getting the ball out of the QB's hands as quickly as possible.

If Barbers Hill doesn't get a win this week... Just looking at their next four opponents Nederland open DAYTON Lee At least the won't lose on their open week. If the Eagles don't bust through this week, it will be October before they can get into the W column.

Toups Graphics predicts.... Over the next three weeks the number of BH posts decreases exponentially (which means really fast) and that there will be a few guys from Mont Belvieu needing to buy some pink shirts to wear during some playoff games to settle of a debt from a wager made on SETX sports dot com.

PN-G, Central, and I still say Nederland are the top three dogs. The rest are really all packed together. Any of them could really get in. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. I could see a two or maybe three way tie in the win loss column for fourth place.

After going through my ground level video, Dayton played an AWEsome game. We had three maybe four plays where we were just one step from making a TD. I think both offenses were lagging because they haven't practiced against speed like there was on Friday. You can't replicate that kind of speed in practice and it showed on both sides. Andreas never got into a rythm just due to the speed of the game.  The more he plays against teams like this the better. Carranco is just down right a lethal weapon.  Automatic field goal if you get inside the 25 and he had three punts that pinned Elkins inside the 10.  An amazing game by Juan.  With two weeks to prepare for Angleton I predict Diggs will be having to improvise his offense.  No way is Angleton's offensive line better than Elkins.  Ripkowski and Wright will be breathing down Digg's throat all night keeping him on the run.  Toups Graphics predicts that Diggs runs out of gas in the second half, especially if he is chasing down Delasbour while playing defense.

Why don't we go retro and go back four years ago... Lumberton might have just smacked up Jasper, but... If they can beat BH then they are for real  :D Seriously though... If Lumberton can put up a ton of points on a faster defense than what BH will have.... I sense a long night for the Eagles.

Right now I am 6 and 7. As a whole 19 and 20-4A had a horrible week (as well as Toups Graphics). Combined record was 3 and 11 (with one common opponent and PN-G plays today). Results can be read at.... [Hidden Content] Just finished the first half of the Dayton game. Talk about a lot of speed on BOTH SIDES AND ON BOTH TEAMS. Dayton's offense will be fine once we play teams with (normal) speed. Will update when I post the few highlights from the game to the website. HAVE AN AWESOME SATURDAY!

Video is going on my computer now... Was unable to get pressbox level video this time, we are working on a solution... Toups Graphics Review of the game.... Key part of the game.... Dayton is driving in the third quarter, Jakari is one step away from breaking into the endzone around the 18 yard line, and a good tackle results in a fumble that is recovered in the endzone by the Knights.  Dayton forces a third and 14 and that is when the roughing the passer on an incomplete pass results.  The Knights then march down the field for a TD.  All yardage gained by passes to the right side of the field, in basically the same spot, the TD pass was a pump and go route, the reciever got behind the secondary and a good pass resulted in the only TD of the game. Dayton's secondary is AWEsome this year!  Dayton's defense is the complete package.  Take out the scoring drive, I don't think Elkins had over eight first downs. Toups Graphics player of the game is Juan Carranco.  What a punting exhibition.  I think he had four or five punts inside the ten yard line.  One of them was about a seventy yard punt. The Knights might have one of the best defenses Dayton plays all year.  Jakari would have broke three runs for a TD against other teams, but #5 on Elkins (the safety) played an AWEsome game and forced two of the fumbles.  Not many highlights in this defensive game, but I will have them up around noon tomorrow.  I will also update my toupsgraphics website tomorrow morning.  Congrats to all the teams that won tonight.

Might take him awhile to get used to the speed. Last year when Dayton's sophomore QB got bumped up to varsity against Barbers Hill it took him two quarters.  In the third quarter the Broncos exploded for about 250 yards and 21 points.  It just takes time to get used to the speed of the game.

DAYTON WINS!!!!! Got an email from the high school principal at school today. "How about those Broncos!  Its official, the Dayton vs. Elkins game will be showcased on channel 2 Friday Night Frenzy. Can you feel the love..... Should be a GREAT game at Crosby Friday night. It will be one of the many games that shoud be within a touchdown... Still not sure about who I am going to pick. Would like to know about Crosby's #1 running back option. If Merka has a running back with him that can bust one at any time, it will really help him out. Look for teams to key on Merka, get the ball out of his hands, and then try to stop whatever player the Cougars go to.
