IMO.... Convert it into an indoor parking garage, make a climate controlled walkway from the dome to Reliant Stadium, and charge an additional $5 to park in it... It will be extremely expensive to knock down the structure, why not convert it into something that can make revenue....
It might be a little unfair but i know this, the people that i have heard defend tiger 90% i know for a fact are unfaithful. What are you telling your child by doing this. but i think this is the way the world is going. Sex means nothing anymore and monogamy is taboo to alot of people, but in my household i want to lead a life my children can be proud of and that wouldnt be it.
AMEN!!!! American society is turning it's back on moral values... With time, in a few more generations, with morality gone, the society will begin to crumble... Just go back in time and look at the Roman Empire.

Tiger Woods = Awesome player Yes i agree. But im a dad, Husband, and I know when I took my vows i took them seriously and when i decided to become a parent i took that seriously and to be honest your actions speak louder than your words i to see what he did tells me he did not take that seriously. Honestly those that want to just overlook all of this must have some of those same skeletons. Yes im judging him but only on what i want my shildren to see or not see and trust me i will never let my children be a part of something so disrespectful and I pray for Tiger and his children and Wife.
ridiculous thing to say
You might say that... but just listening to sports talk radio, or reading forums... Some really don't think Tiger did wrong... Heard some one say, "he is just doing what all famous people do"... That is a sad sad statement for that guy to tell his kid... Hey if you get famous and are married, it is ok to cheat on your wife and your children. And you wonder why we have so many young males in this country in desperate need of a good male role model, because their dads are JERKS!
-
Just want to add.... I do hope Tiger does well today, and that it is the start of his not only becoming the champion golfer that he is, but also a huge step in the right direction of his life long duty as being a father. Heard on the news last night that he was different with the fans yesterday, giving away golf balls, and even high fiving a young boy wearing a Tigers Woods hat. GOOD LUCK TIGER! Not only at your job as a golfer, but also to your entire life.
-
You "men" just don't get it.... I really admire what Tiger has done on the course, he is just AWEsome... but.... When you have a child, the number 1 priority in your life should be to be the greatest father you possibly can. Raising a child and being a proper role model to your child is the greatest responsibility a man can have. Tiger has started this off as a HUGE FAILURE!!! When 70% of african americans are born out of wedlock, and many african americans DON'T EVEN SEEM TO THINK WHAT TIGER DID WAS WRONG.... You see the great social injustice of what is happening to our country on thousands of kids that desperately need a male role model at home (as an 8th grade teacher, I just happen to fill that void for many of my students, but I don't go home with them). Men who think Tiger just made a simple mistake SHOULD BE CASTRATED and never given the opportunity to be a father. It is NOT about the millions and billions of dollars that Tiger will make. It does take a champion to do what Tiger has done on the golf course, but it takes a real man to be a father. Tiger has not started this off the right way.
Watson shoots 67! That old boy can play.
UNBELIEVABLE!!! Hope he can keep it up!!! Through 6 holes, Tiger is 1 under

Play starts today!!! Let's see who can guess closest to Tiger's score, first time playing tournament golf in a while... He is playing in the afternoon, the cold front that went through here yesterday will probably be in the area... It should be windy... Leader after the day will probably have a morning tee time.... I say he shots a 74 or +2.... Friday he probably betters his score and makes the cut.

For the first time I was able to go see a Rockets game at Toyota Center (my niece was doing a pregame dance and they got tickets at a reduced price). We were seating behind the goal WAYYYY UP!!! I just would like to say.... The atmosophere was pathetic! I have been to high school games with more energy. The stadium was half full and I don't know why, but they were playing music on the PA system while the game was in progress, which is just wrong. Taking all that out... The Rockets played great. They made there first 7 three pointers and masacred the Jazz, which was nice to watch. I am glad I don't have the money to buy Rocket season tickets, and if I did have the money for them, what a waste of cash. I sat by my brother-in-law who had Rocket season tickets in the late 80's when they were affordable. He said the games in the Summit were just AWEsome! Of course they had Sampson and Akeem back then, but he said it was like a college game, it is not the case anymore.

This is a pretty good article about Tiger and his chase to catch Nicklaus... [Hidden Content] Most important item from the article is the information about Tiger's knee.... Since his knee operation, his play last year, although good, was not what it used to be... His last two big tournaments, (The PGA and the World Match Play) he was unable to close the deal... Will be interesting to see how this year goes... IMO.... The most important job he has now is to be a father to his kids, your goals in life and your career all change when you become a Dad... We should all hope that if he never wins another golf tournament, that he can be a positive influence on his kids.

Now, after Barbers Hill is eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, they have TWO choices... Watch their neighbors to the north play another 3 to 5 weeks or go watch their old coach navigate the Longhorns through the 3A playoffs.... -
Nice article. Those early 80's TJ teams were somerthing else. They had the support of practically the whole area back then.
Almost.... Some PN-G grads... Would NEVER go for the dreaded yellow jackets... They did have some AWEsome teams... I really can't listen to "Another One Bites the Dust" without remembering this song being played over and over in the 2nd half by the Yellow Jacket band while they were beating PN-G (yet again....) Still remember the PN-G vs TJ game in 1980. It was played at the Reservation and it was the largest crowd I ever saw at that stadium (memory goes back to late 70's). PN-G scored a TD late to make score 13-14, went for two and was stopped at the half yard line, and...... The TJ band cranks out "another one bites the dust"

TAKS scores aside... The real objective is to get the kids to pass the test and...... Walk at graduation and actually receive a diploma.... It is a scary thought to look at your districts number of actual 8th grade students and how many actually graduate in May. Many would be surprised at the percentage that actually graduates... A typical east Texas school district (rural areas) are graduating about 65 to 80% of their 8th graders, more close to 70%. -
BH has been winning since the early 30s! Come on now, the Eagles have a winning tradition in all sports
the last really good quality team Price had at Barbers Hill was the group with the twins, their senior year was the best B Hill team since 2000, the talent level in football plunged since that group graduated, yet Price continued to post winning seasons. Just when Price would have gotten some talent and depth (this years freshmen class) he was axed.

Dayton's got lots of "secrets" and North Shore has "secrets" and Anahuac has "secrets" but BH doesn't have too many. You guys gotta give this post a rest. You are wearing out those school-issued computers. Wonder why so many of you are bashing the new coaches? I'm sure that tech is loving you and sharing your thoughts. Not too smart guys! I think that's why Coach Stump stayed right here. He knew he wouldn't get any support there just like your new guy isn't getting.
You should expound on that a little. Since you're implying something, you might as well say it.
The "secrets" that Dayton has is how to dominate our neighbors to the south in the one sport that really matters. -
What in the world does this have to do with football.

Are four or more district losses acceptable this coming season? (it's likely) How about beating dayton once a decade like crosby? It sounds like the guy will be able to install a good program, I'm curious to see how long he has before the complaints start rolling down the hill.
EXCELLENT QUESTION! With a good group of athletes currently in 9th grade next year looks to be the weakest Eagle team in the next three seasons (the over all talent level of the athletes in 7th, 8th and 9th or better than what they have in 10th and 11th). My guess.... The new coach better win a playoff game by the time the 9th graders graduate (I put the probability of that at over 50% ) or he will be shown the road. Curious at what the Eagle football fans think of this.
What would make you think that he would have that long????? :-[ The GREAT NEWS is we have a secret weapon starting next season. Dayton fans will hate it but we had to get competitive. ;D ;D
Maybe Barbers Hill can win more than one football game against Dayton this year.... Last year from 7th to varsity Dayton was 10 wins and 1 loss against the mighty eagles. -

why would anyone want to be a coach?

The impact that a coach (or teacher) can have on the youth of our community can FAR OUTWIEGH the negative aspects of dealing with parents that are "unruly". "One of the greatest things you can do is to care enough about another person so that you alter the individuals life to happiness and self worth instead of living a life of sadness or self pity. This is what makes the occupation of being a teacher (or coach) so powerful. For who else holds such a position over other people." I had the joy of coaching junior high girls for three years, it was one of the most rewarding jobs of my life. Sure I had some unhappy parents, but the impact I had on the young kids under me was priceless. Student by student today I am teaching the youth of Dayton that by believing you can succeed (not just in math, but also in other endeavors). All that being said, good luck to Coach Gage at his new job, and all the other coaches dealing with "unruly" parents. -
1. Crosby- Good QB, will be ok if they can help him out. They need to keep his jersey clean. 2. Dayton- Good coaching and very consistant...will the young QB be able to guide them to reginal finals again? 3. Baytown Lee- Transition to 4A won't be as easy as they think, but they should be ok to claim the 3 or 4 spot, but I don't see them getting further than round 2 at best. 4. GCM- Not sure about the fourth spot, but if I had to guess, GCM would be my pick.
this is also my picks... Wild card is Barbers Hill. Good talent in next year's 10th grade, but will it be enough.

BH - New Coach, New Sytem will be clicking by district! if not GCM 4. GCM - 3 rd year and they have to rebuild no more returning the whole team.
If Dayton comes out of pre-district unscaved (more than likely will ) then look out ! If they do get a little banged up then ... well thats why they schedule teams like BH early in the season. ;)
You better schedule someone a little easier this year then because your 3 point victory wasn't to impressive ;D
You must have been at the concession stand putting your Grey Poupon on your hot dog during the whole 3rd quarter (the one that Dayton blasted the Eagles 21 to 0) ;D It will be interesting to see how many sophomores from both teams end up on varsity. Lots of talent at both Dayton and Barbers Hill in that grade level (current freshmen). Any idea from BH fans, does the freshmen QB have a chance to be the starter for Varsity next year? The kid has a gun and is a great all around athlete.
