Did you know that.... The TAKS scores for Dayton ISD were at the Recognized level??? The unacceptable rating came from non completion of the tests in the summer. Looks like Crosby fans are desparate to get a one up on Dayton. Even beating Dayton this year wasn't good enough, because in the end basketball season still started earlier for the Cougars.

Who ever goes in there will have to be a yes sir or yes mam guy that plays the "blue bird's" parents kids, I think most people keeping up with this would agree the Price got the most out of what he had. Barbers Hill continued to have winning seasons while he was there with athletes that performed to the best of their abilities.

Dayton returns a sophomore QB and a dynamic trio of sophomore receivers, and don't forget... Crosby was still watching Dayton play football while Merka was lifting weights.

"Dayton stands are a dump"???? I guess since the people in Barbers Hill are eating their hot dogs with "Gray Poupon" on them they think "good stands" are made of concrete are built into the sides of hills (like Baytown's or Galena Park's) Truth be told.... The stadium structure itself in Dayton is a gazzilion times better than Barbers Hill... I do give Barbers Hill the edge on at least having the school parking lots to use and also the dressing room facilities are better at the Hill, but to say that the stands in Dayton (almost twice as large in total capacity) is a dump... Ignorance exists even in wealth.... I do hope Barbers Hill does get a quality coach (unfortunately they just got rid of the person who qualifies under the job description). Good luck to the guy that comes in there, I hope he can find starting spots for all the "blue bird" parents out there that think their child is an all American.

[/quote] Read through it... That is all I can think of. I am about to start putting up the first half highlights from the Brenham game to youtube (not much Bronco action in the second half).... What a turn of events... Dayton is just dominating Brenham in the first half (Brenham I think only had four first downs in the first half). Dayton gets the kick off, drives down field, gets a field goal, then Brenham just can't do anything wrong. You really got to give a lot of credit to Brenham, they never gave up and really turned the tide of the game.

Bummer... Crosby finally beats Dayton this year (THE FIRST TIME THIS CENTURY) and still ends up watching Dayton play football while they practice dribbling basketballs. Enjoy the victory over the Broncos this year and the district trophy, if you want to see what a quarterfinal trophy looks like, Dayton has two of them just earned recently.  They are in the foyer of the high school.  Ashame cougar fans can't look at something like that in their school.

Will get that up to date soon... Was busy last weekend after the game (CHRISTmas shopping trips)... This week at school progress report grades were due ( I was getting home and grading papers till 9 PM)... I am FINALLY getting to work on the video and it is 9 days after the game...... Will have highlights up this evening... Will update the web site this evening. Sorry I haven't been able to keep everything up to date.... What a great football season the Broncos gave us... The Brenham game really shows you how important it is to keep your key players healthy. Tony Hill getting hurt in that game was HUGE!  In the 1st half Brenham couldn't do anything offensively, then Tony went down, and Brenham scored the last four times they had the ball.  A great game for the Cubs, never giving up when they couldn't get anything rolling, they finally turned the tide and Dayton couldn't swing the momentum.  The future is bright for the Broncos.  I think they will be playing in the quarterfinal game for the 4th straight year next season.  Will get my website updated and try to update the pictures at Jack in the Box. I will also not be able to work on the season Friday Night Lights DVD until January, I have a wedding to do this weekend, and I have to get my summer camp yearbook DVD done over the CHRISTmas holidays. I think he might be trying to design his own 18 "ho" golf course  ;) All of this is really sad for Tiger... He will never, nor should he ever, get the respect as a man as he should. Sponsors really should look twice as letting him represent them.

Coaching got the broncos to this point. [/quote] AMEN! The coaches at Dayton have gotten the young men at Dayton to the quarter-finals three years in a row. Many people around here just gave the Broncos success to AJ and Cody, but even without the 2 superstars, the Broncos are still the best east of Houston, why... COACHING! No other coaching staff around here improves the talent of the kids from 7th to 12th grade. With the talent coming up from the junior high, look for the Broncos to be back in the quarterfinals next year.

You hear them say I am Cody, I am A.J., I am Tony etc. Now these young kids who seem to love football have new idols and they  are the Broncos of the past. Now they will become the Broncos of the future.  Great season Broncos you will always be champions. [/quote] That my friend is EXACTLY what Friday Night Light Lights can do not only for a community but for a school district.  The last three groups of Broncos have made ALL of Dayton and ALL students in Dayton ISD PROUD to be a part of the community and the school district.  You can not underestimate what this does not only for the athletic program, but also the academic standards in the district.  WAY TO GO BRONCOS!  ALWAYS BELIEVE

Just curious.... Tony Hill playing nose gaurd first half... Brenham was shut down... In the second half, Tony wasn't playing nose gaurd, but was still playing center. Momentum turned, Brenham scored last four times they had the ball... Great job by the kids from Dayton. Just came up one TD short, got to give Brenham lots of credit, they made the plays at the end to come from behind. Loads of sophomores playing for the Broncos, plus the best freshman class east of Houston, next year Broncos will reload and be right back playing for the Region III championship.

It's gonna be COLD tonight!!!! Hopefully an AWEsome Bronco performance will warm things up!!!

I'd rather have that TIVY guy than FriendsoodFan... Plus... After AJ "stole" that ball away in the 4th quarter, well, that really took the bite out of TIVY fight never dies (it just gets taken away!) ;D

Dayton might just have the best group of freshmen east of Houston. Future looks really bright for Bronco land, a lot of these key freshmen are getting a lot of extra practice with the extra weeks of playoff games.
