Great breakdown on the game! Just finished the game video. El Campo easily was the quickest team Dayton faced all year (including Friendswood and Crosby). El Campo's d backs were lightning quick and ran down every play that Dayton broke out on. This speed resulted in the passing game for the Broncos having trouble in the first half. El Campo did a great job of coverage, knocking down several passes. In the end, Dayton's defensive speed wore out El Campo who had many players going both ways. El Campo was prepared to stop the passing game of Andres, but when Coach Stewart put in Payton El Campo just couldn't adjust to the run option play. What a great game by the Broncos, next weeks game should be a dan dan dandy!!!

Lots of speedy d-backs kept the Bronco offense stymied in the first half. When the coaches put Payton back at QB,that changed the game, El Campo couldn't stop the read option and it openned up the quick screen pass to Gamal that sealed the game in the 4th quarter. Defense did play outstanding after the 1st quarter, the secondary is turning around.

Congrats on a great season for the Cougars. District trophy and a win over the Broncos.

Why is Dayton ahead of Crosby... For Crosby to be involved in football, they need to travel up HWY 90 to get some tickets at the Dayton admin building.... ENJOY BASKETBALL SEASON CROSBY! You may have won the battle, but Dayton won the war! Great season for the Cougars, not discounting that, but once again... Crosby is on the sidelines watching Dayton to continue their football season.

Just got done going through the 4th qaurter. Individual highlight videos (about a dozen) are being remade.... what a great game. El Campo was the quickest team we have played since Crosby. Speed in the secondary really slowed down the Broncos in the first half. On the drive to score the 2nd touchdown, putting Payton in at QB just threw El Campo for a loop. They couldn't stop both Frank and Ploch, and you can really tell on the video they lost about half a step in the 4th quarter. A lot of their athletes were playing both ways. The Dayton vs Brenham game should be a dandy! Seems to be 2 equally balanced teams, I would give the overall speed edge to the Broncos, and I would also think that Dayton would have more offensive weapon firepower.  A lot of sophomores stepping up on the offense, that is the key. Armando made two HUGE catches in the 4th qaurter and Gamal's run inside the 10 at the end of the 4th quarter sealed the victory.

GAME SET MATCH... Last team playing is once again... The district that Dayton is in. Final season rankings, once again... #1 = Dayton I would rank the rest as follows... #2 = West Brook #3 = Crosby #4 = Central #5 = PN-G #6 = Vidor #7 = Goose Creek Memorial #8 = Barbers Hill #9 = Nederland #10 = ???? (no other big schools made the playoffs)

Three years running... Dayton is the last 4A team left playing east of Houston! WAY TO GO BRONCOS! Just finished the 3rd quarter video... CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH THE 4TH QTR!!!! What a game!!! I am so lucky to be able to watch it again!!!

Just got done with the 2nd quarter video.... TALK ABOUT BOGUS!!! On the interception the Bronco defender jumped up, caught the ball without touching the El Campo player (talk about a vertical leap (the players hips are about even with the helmet of the El Campo player)), on the way down he does make contact with the receiver, but AFTER he catches the ball... Ashame the Bronco player doesn't get credit for a GREAT play! But as I always say, ADAPT AND OVERCOME! The Broncos held El Campo out of the end zone and didn't give up a touchdown, although El Campo did get a field goal out of it. The El Campo kicker had a leg! Good thing they didn't have a chance for a 50 yard field goal at the end of the game. Hopefully, within two hours I will be able to resave the highlight files as WMV's and upload them to youtube.

WOW!!!! Brenham will have the revenge factor going into this game. Last year, Dayton hung 35 points on them in the 1st half alone, halftime score was 35 to 0.
