I have got so much going on... Can't even video the junior high games, just don't have time to edit them... This evening and tomorrow evening I am going to do the highlights of the Galena Park and CE King games. Sorry for the delay

Congrats to the BH team... They might be the only team from Barbers Hill to beat Dayton this year... (anyone heard about the 7th graders?) IMO... The 7th grade bunch from both these teams are a lot better than the 8th grade version. I also think the 9th grade bunch from Barbers Hill is the best set of kids from 7th to 12 grade.  (the 9th grade QB is really a great athlete) Surprising that Dayton's junior high did sweep Barbers Hill the first time. The 8th grade bunch from Dayton really improved (I don't think they beat Barbers Hill last year). The point of all this is that the coaching staff in Dayton DRASTICALLY improves the talent that is coming into athletic department from 7th to 12th, it is AWEsome to see how much better these kids get. When you start off with talent that is beating all of it's opponents early on, you only improve that over time.  Congrats to Barbers Hill, winning the last game of the year must be nice (especially against Dayton).

The playoff picture is so jumbled up, Dayton and Crosby might as well send coaches out to ALL the 20-4A game because who knows who will be playing each other next week! 19-4A is finished with district play, but Crosby and Dayton both have warmup games for the playoffs. This week the easiest way for 20-4A to finish is with Nederland and Vidor both winning. If one or both loss, their is almost an infinite number of ways this district can finish. PN-G should win this game... But if the Eagles win..... Market Basket will have to make a rush order of crow... All this talk about which district is better... Last year Crosby took out the 20-4A district champion. This year... Dayton and Crosby could be seen as being favorites again... I think there will be another split this year with 20-4A and 19-4A, and... If you judge the districts on which one has the last team playing... Well we all know the answer to that. There is only one team in 19-4A or 20-4A with last two Region III trophies in the foyer of their high school.

Dayton hasn't played really good teams over the last two weeks, but the impressive wins (28 points in the first 7 minutes of the Galena Park game and allowing 4 first downs against CE King), let's just say Dayton is easily one of the top 5 teams in Region III. Whoever they play in the first round is going to find out what being stampeded by a Bronco is all about (just ask #14 from CE King). He was trucked many times by the Broncos. I think Dayton could easily win the first round game by 28 points.

Bronco fans.... Sorry I haven't gotten behind on the videos. Was really busy all weekend, took all day Saturday to upgrade to windows 7 and Sunday was spent setting up a home network. Just got through going through the CE King game video. I now need to narrow down the Galena Park and CE King videos to the highlights only and narrate the big plays with my "AWEsome" voice overs (plus some new sound effects). Thoughts on the game video... Moving Jakari to line backer and Andreas to QB was HUGE! Payton (IMO) is now having more impact (ask #14 from CE King) on the game. Jakari is a beast on defense making at least six plays or tackles behind the line of scrimmage and ALWAYS able to run down plays going from side line to side line. Andreas (for a sophomore) is getting better each game and is doing an AWEsome job of getting the ball to a lot of players.  The sophomore receivers are AMAZING!  Things look bright in Bronco land! I will be updating my web site tomorrow night with directions to the game and for places to eat. Game time is at 2 PM. Hopefully Bronco fans will have a spectacular weekend to enjoy Austin (the prettiest state capitol of them all!) [/quote] They had one long pass play for about 30 or 40 yards. Take that play out, and the Broncos almost held King to zero yards! This team is really starting to gel.... Concern is... First half, they got into the red zone on each posession but came away with only 10 points. Lost the ball twice on downs. I am sure that the Bronco coaching staff will fix this. Great W for the Broncos.  They are really getting better each week.

Would be a good idea for the Barbers Hill kids to make a trip to Footlocker and check out the latest styles of basketball shoes. They will be needing them in two weeks. I vote for.... GO RETRO! Nothing beats a good pair of Chuck Taylors!

I foresee.... A special meeting in which Livingston will NOT be invited....... Whoever is the 4th team (especially if they are division II)... Well... There is a very good and much improving Dayton Bronco team waiting for them. What a total train wreck last week in 20-4A? I was 1 and 3... If it does finish in a 2 way tie for 4th with Nederland and Ozen, won't Ozen have the tie breaker due to their head to head win?
