1. This is bull! What are the odds of having the game in the corner of the state, like Texarcana or Beaumont, or in the panhandle, or even west texas. The teams from Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio / Austin (the probably sites for the games) WILL get homefield advantage.
 2. The Dayton defense has the talent to be one of the best units Stewart has coached. They have not yet played four quarters of shut out football. Still say the defense when Smesny was a senior was the best. If Dayton can get together over the next two games and play mistake free football and limit the errors, they really have the talent to get to the quarter finals (especially in the bracket they will be in).
 3.
Will go PNG go as small or big? I can tell you that Denison and Lake Dallas can flat out play.
PN-G is a gaurantee for Division II, I believe they are also gauranteed to play against Barbers Hill in the 1st round.
 4.
png way overrated. one and done.
Against Barbers Hill?????? I see PN-G advancing to the game where they play the 24-4A champ (3rd round) If they win that one, they just might get to the semifinals.
 5.
Looking foreward to seeing how our Bronco's match up against a good D-1 team from another Region should be fun !
Will be great for the sophomore QB from Dayton to get one more game under his belt before the playoffs. Dayton has shown signs of greatness in the last two games (they completely smashed Barbers Hill in the 3rd quarter and put on a Bronco blitzkreig in the 1st quarter against Galena Park) if they can put 4 good quarters back to back they will be tough to beat. I am looking foward to the trip, and if the Broncos are lucky enough to advance to semi finals, this game will only help get them used to the trip.
 6. Not "scared" of them, just have a lot of respect... They are the top rated team in Region III, and they will come out of the toughest district in this region (probably undefeated). To get out of this region it seems like they are the team to beat. Still a huge chance they will go into either Division I or Division II. If you scan through the districts in Region III, besides the teams from Angleton's district, and Brenham, there isn't much there. This is the year a team from 19-4A or 20-4A can sneak through this region and make it to semi-finals. If Angleton does go Division II, they would be on the PN-G side of the bracket (20-4A #1 seed) and they would square off in week 3, if both teams keep winning (which I believe would be the case). Dayton's side of the bracket will get Brenham (which I don't think is as good as Angleton).
Angleton 1867 Freeport Brazosport 1208 Friendswood 1954.5 La Marque 1128 Manvel 1629.25 Pearland Dawson 1926 Santa Fe 1412 Texas City 1781 The only way Angleton goes D2 is if Dawson qualifies for the playoffs.  Angleton and F'wood were D1 reps last year. As of last night, Dawson, Santa Fe, and F'wood are in a 3 way tie @3-2 while Angleton is 5-0
Thanks for sharing the enrollment numbers...  From past posts, it sounded like Friendswood had a smaller enrollment.  You are right, if Dawson or Friendswood don't qualify, Angleton is division I.  I believe if Friendswood loses to La Marque, they would be out, but there are still two games left, and it looks like all the teams are taking turns beating each other, the tie breakers would be very confusing.

And I guess you think Dayton is state bound. Give me a Break. I hope everyone from 19-4A does a great job and represents well......Goodluck to All from 19-4a the rest of the season and play-offs, to those that will make it. I will save some Bronco play off football tickets for you when Barbers Hill is playing basketball. Dayton will have a much tougher time advancing this year, but certainly stands a better chance than Barbers Hill.
 10.
Didn't say they couldn't be beat. By the way will Central be D1 or D2? I would love to see a Central/Angleton game again.
Central will be division I
 11. Was just looking at the schedules in 24-4A. Important district since there is a strong chance that both teams out of this district will represent region III. It looks like in the last week that the Lamarque vs Friendswood game will settle 4th place. If LaMarque and Friendswood both win this week, then in week 10 they play each other. Right now Lamarque is one game behind Friendswood, but a LaMarque win would create a two way tie and LaMarque would go into the playoffs and Friendswood would stay home. That would put BOTH Dawson and Angleton in Division I (GREAT NEWS FOR DAYTON AND PN-G!). Looking at the schedules, it looks like this district is beating up on each other. Angleton is undefeated, but all the other teams have lost to various opponents. With two games left, there looks to be a lot of scenarios left...
 12. Was trying to get an over under on the Broncos offensive yardage yesterday at school with some of my coworkers. I thought the Broncos would approach 500 yards of offense, the others said between 300 and 400... The stats from the Chonicle... Even with a horrible second half, the Broncos amassed 559 yards of offense! Ploch had around 300 yards. The stats are at this link... [Hidden Content] Great game for the Broncos, just need four straight solid quarters.
 13.

Last night at the PNG-Lumberton game, BH had 3 scouting coaches there. I spoke with one of them and he said that PNG is not the team they played at the beginning of the year. PNG has made such big strides and is a very well balanced team. Thats all he said to me last night
I Agree!! PN-G has improved each week.
Second that... Just keep on winning...
 14. PN-G will be in the much tougher part of the bracket. Dayton has two more warm up games... If they can put four quarters together like they had in the first half against Galena Park, I can see Dayton getting past Brenham and into quarter finals again.
 15.
Is Angleton that good of a team ? I heard they have a hoss running back. I don't know anything really about Angleton except they are undefeated and ranked fairly high in all polls. I think if Dayton can get back to firing on all cylinders they could take Brehnam.
Haven't seen Angleton play, but from all accounts, they are the cream of the crop team in this Region. Dawson and Friendswood will also be quality teams.
 16. Posted at.... [Hidden Content] Interesting playoff scenarios discussed at the bottom of the predictions... Enjoy reading... FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS 2009 TOUPS GRAPHICS HIGHLIGHTS UPLOADED TO... YOUTUBE! Go to You Tube and do a search for - toupsgraphics - to find the Bronco highlights for 2009. TOUPS GRAPHICS RESULTS WEEK 8 Toups Graphics is currently 6 and 1 this week with the Saturday night game of KW Park and North Forest left to play. Congratulations to the Bulldogs of Nederland on their win in Livingston, this was Toups Graphics' only miss. 20-4A GAME OF THE WEEK OZEN vs CENTRAL TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CENTRAL 28 OZEN 24 THE RESULT CENTRAL 50 OZEN 23 The Panthers had reason for hope with an early lead, then the delusions of grandeur came to an end. The Jaguars roll in the 2nd half and blast out the Panthers. Toups Graphics almost nails the Panthers score, but the Jaguras are able to feast on a second half offensive explosion and clock the Panthers for half a century. Central stays perfect in 20-4A and the Panthers still have play off chances alive. PN-G vs Lumberton TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION PN-G 28 LUMBERTON 7 THE RESULT PN-G 39 LUMBERTON 6 What happened to the L-Train? PN-G just sent the L-Train over a dead end track and off into Rodair Gulley. Lumbertons faint chances of a play off spot were terminated and PN-G's new chief adds yet another knotch on the totem pole of victory. The Indians blast the Raders while Lumberton scores right at the predicted result. The stars are aligning for a 20-4A district championship game in the last game of the season at the Babe. LC-M vs Vidor TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION VIDOR 49 LC-M 14 THE RESULT VIDOR 49 LC-M 15 Toups Graphics approaches being omniscient. Toups Graphics is one point away from nailing the score perfectly. Vidor nears clinching a playoff spot while the faint hopes of LC-M being a playoff contender are pilaged by the Pirates. The Black Pearl sails yet again off into the horizon with another Pirate victory. Nederland vs Livingston TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LIVINGSTON 42 NEDERLAND 28 THE RESULT NEDERLAND 31 LIVINGSTON 14 A big win for the Bulldogs. The Lions lost their medal of courage and are now trying to go back to the Wizard for a refund. Nederland's playoff chances are still alive with a win in Polk County. 19-4A ACTION Game of the Week Crosby vs Barbers Hill TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CROSBY 35 BARBERS HILL 14 THE RESULT CROSBY 21 BARBERS HILL 16 Barbers Hill glimpses of a victory with an early 1st half lead were fumbled away on the hill Friday night. Crosby wins yet again and keeps their perfect 19-4A record intact. The Cougars are one win away from an outright district championship while the Eagles are thanking the Patriots for terminating the CE King Panthers. That result put Barbers Hill into the playoffs. Goose Creek Memorial vs CE King TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION MEMORIAL 35 CE KING 21 THE RESULT MEMORIAL 42 CE KING 38 Goose Creek Memorial just clinched a playoff spot and ended the Panthers chances for a post season trip. Both teams top their predicted scores and the Patriots are able to win in a shoot out at Panther Stadium. Dayton vs Galena Park TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION DAYTON 49 GALENA PARK 14 THE RESULT DAYTON 56 GALENA PARK 26 The Broncos take advantage of four first quarter touchdowns in the openning 8 minutes of the game and stampede to another 19-4A victory. Dayton plays a near perfect first half, then in the 2nd half Galena Park is able to score on turnovers and defensive errors by the Broncos. With the victory Dayton clinches the top spot in division II while Galena Park starts pumping up the basketballs. SATURDAY AT TURNER FIELD North Forest vs Kingwood Park North Forest is running a computer with Windows 95, while Kingwood Park has not been that much better. The Bulldogs travel to Humble on Saturday and keep their perfectly backwards record intact. The Panthers will take the Bulldogs to the pound and get another victory. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION KINGWOOD PARK 28 NORTH FOREST 14 TOUPS GRAPHICS POWER RANKINGS OCTOBER 24 Toups Graphics "Power Ranks" District 19-4A and 20-4A The Power Rankings are based on how the district will finish and not current wins and losses. 4th place in 20-4A is still UP FOR GRABS! Almost a gaurantee that a 3 and 4 team makes the playoffs. Toups Graphics sees Nederland and Ozen winning one more game on their schedules putting them tied at 3 and 4, but Ozen holds the tie breaker by beating the Bulldogs. District 19-4A now looks set - Division I will be Crosby #1 and Memorial #2 while Division II will be Dayton #1 and Barbers Hill #2. This would create a bi-district round of (if Ozen makes the playoffs) Crosby vs Vidor Central vs Memorial Dayton vs Ozen PN-G vs Barbers Hill If Nederland gets in.... 17. This year Region III 4A is really weak, outside 19 and 20-4A the top teams will be the teams advancing out of 24-4A (Angleton, Dawson, Friendswood, and I don't know who will be 4th).  Brenham is also highly ranked. If Angleton goes division II PN-G will face off with Angleton before the Quarter Final round. Dayton will have Brenham in their part of the bracket. If PN-G and Dayton both keep winning they would square off in the quarterfinal round (PN-G will have the much tougher road with Angleton in their way). Haven't studied Division I, but whoever gets Pearland Dawson will be in trouble. I think if any team from 20 or 19-4A can get past Dawson and Angleton they might get out of this region (go to semi finals)
 18. In three Mondays Barbers Hill will be dribbling basketballs.
 19. Just posted this on my toupsgraphics.com website.... Nederland and Ozen look to be in the drivers seat for 4th place. Ozen has LC-M in the last game. If Ozen wins that game that forces Nederland to win out (not likely). If Ozen and Nederland tie at 3 and 4 (that's what Toups Graphics predicts) then Ozen gets 4th place due to the head to head overtime victory at Bulldog Stadium. If... Ozen goes to the playoffs.... Bidistrict will be... Crosby vs Vidor, Central vs Goose Creek Memorial, Dayton vs Ozen and PN-G vs Barbers Hill. If Nederland makes it, division I and II are changed in 20-4A... Bidistrict would be.... Crosby vs Nederland, Central vs Goose Creek Memorial, Dayton vs Vidor, and PN-G vs Barbers Hill.
 20.
Congrats Crosby.  Heck of a game.  Let's shake off that turnover bug and move on BH.  My heart won't take another 5 or 6 turnovers a game.
Dayton knows what that feels like... CONGRATS COOGS!
 21.
Man that B/U QB looks awesome!!!
He had a great game... something to note... He did NOT play QB in Junior High... Last year as a freshmen was the first year he played in that position... Now he is leading the Broncos. A great kid and hopefully he has a bright future ahead of him as a Bronco. He also knows by experience the first rule.... ALWAYS BELIEVE! Just curious... Any one that watches this video... What is the correct call on the out of bounds play at the goal line. Should the ball be marked... 1. at the location the foot went out  of bounds or... 2. where the ball is located when the foot goes out of bounds... Talked to some coaches today and they weren't sure of the exact ruling on this. Not knocking the call (I think he made the correct call since the ball was spotted where the foot went out of bounds)... If on the same play, Franks would have went airborn with the ball crossing the goal line in the same spot, would it have been a touchdown? Just curious about the rules.
 22. Was under the weather this week... Finally finished the highlight video last night... Go to around the 6:50 minute mark... That is the play where Barbers Hill stops Franks on 4th down at the goal line... I believe on YouTube you can go frame by frame, the play on the video rewinds then goes into slow motion... Just curious.... Would like the members to view this and if there was a replay would you give him the touchdown.. It was a bang bang play... It looks like the football crosses the plane of the goal line before the foot hits out of bounds, but it is close When the ball actually tips over the pylon his foot is out of bounds, but if you look at the shadow of the ball before the foot hits the out of bounds, it is across the plane. Can't blame the ref for the call, he spotted the ball EXACTLY where the foot went out of bounds. This was a hard call to make. The link is... [Hidden Content]
 23.
Hey Proud! Had a iMac and Macbook for 2 years now.  I'll never, ever own a PC again!!! You going to Lumberton?
Most of the places where I use the computer use Windows, so I guess I will tough it out on a pc... I will be at the Dayton game on Friday night, hopefully I will hear the beating drums of Cherokee from the distant as the Indians clinch a playoff spot (along with my Broncos). WOULD BE AWESOME IF THE BRONCOS AND THE INDIANS WOULD MEET IN THE QUARTERFINALS! But... There is still A LOT of football to play.
 24. One more thing... Reality for Barbers Hill is that basketballs will be pouding the gym floor in four more Mondays.
 25. "As for why we lead so many stats every year and end up 2nd, 3rd, or out all together, it's the 14-21 point disadvantage our boys have to over come that is Coach Price." Please see definition of delusion of grandeur... From wikipedia... Grandiose delusions or delusions of grandeur are a type of delusion characterized by fantastical beliefs that one is famous, omnipotent, or otherwise very powerful. It is a criterion for psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia or bipolar mania. Delusions of grandeur are generally fantastic, often with a supernatural, science-fictional, or religious bent (for example, belief that one "can beat a much better football team"). In psychiatry, grandiose delusions are one of several diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia[1] and bipolar mania. Delusions of grandeur are distinct from megalomania or narcissism, in that the sufferer does not have insight into his loss of touch with reality. People wonder why Barbers Hill gets bashed so much... The above definition is an excellent explanation... Your coach doesn't give you a 21 point disadvantage. Has the point ever come across that Barbers Hill losses some games because maybe, just maybe, the players on the other side of the ball have BETTER athletes. Of course, one of the symptoms of delusions of grandeur is a total loss of touch with reality.
