  1. I believe the plan is to keep Andreas as QB and move Ploch to receiver.... Andreas looked AWEsome after he got settled in... In the last five possesions the Broncos had, they got a field goal, three touchdowns, and then turned the ball over on downs on the 6 inch line.
  2. To me... the fact that they are overachieving makes them the real deal. AMEN! Keep on winning and everything changes.
  3. Dayton will be top seed in Division II Barbers Hill looks like they are in the drivers seat if they win one more game to be the other team... PN-G would get Barbers Hill and Dayton would probably get Ozen... The big question is where Angleton ends up... If they win their district they would be on the side of the bracket that PN-G would be in... Dayton's side of the bracket will have Brenham. Those two teams will be the toughest for PN-G and Dayton to get around, if they keep on winning they would meet in the quarter finals. Haven't yet looked and studied the Division I bracket, but Central, and the winner of the Crosby / Vidor game seems like they have a great chance of advancing all the way to the quarter finals also...
  4. Region III looks wide open.... Angleton, PN-G, Brenham, Yates, Dayton, and Crosby are top ranked... Poor Crosby... They whip up on the Broncos like they never had before over the last decade and are still behind them in the polls...
  5. The big game is not Crosby vs B Hill, but.... CE King vs GC Memorial... If.... CE King should win, they would probably finish 4 and 3, as well as B Hill, and GC Memorial... It would be a three way tie for third place, two would advance and one team would advance to the basketball gym.... Barbers Hill already beat CE King 35 to 17 GC Memorial beat B Hill 39 to 14 In a three way tie breaker Barbers Hill is done with their two common opponents. In the two games Barbers Hill scored 49 points but allowed 56. GC Memorial has scored 39 but allowed 14 CE King has scored 17 but allowed 35 Don't know how the math works, but.... If CE King would score more than 32 and allow less than 21 they would be in front of B Hill, but that seems like it would eliminate GC Memorial. If GC Memorial would score at least 10 points and WIN they would be ahead of B Hill, but CE King would be eliminated. Wow.... Don't have time to calculate all this right now, will have to wait after work... Someone with some time, might be able to figure this out... Of course.... All of this is for naught if somehow Barbers Hill can beat Crosby.
  6. The key is to be playing the best ball of your season in four weeks. Crosby and PN-G are really playing AWEsome! Central is trucking along nicely. Dayton's 3rd quarter against Barbers Hill was HUGE! Almost 200 yards of offense and three touchdowns, ingnited by a sophomore QB and three sophomore recievers. If Dayton can get the the new QB settled in over the next two games against Galena Park and CE King and the defense can start playing 4 quarters, Dayton has a good chance of advancing at least three or four rounds, maybe to the quarterfinals yet again. Just curious... Any one with time, what are the updates of Angleton's district? That district, Central, PN-G, Vidor, Dayton, or Crosby should be the teams getting out of our region (in division I and II), they say Brenham is doing well also.
  7. Going one step further.... Most people have 1 or 2 being PN-G or Central 3 Vidor 4 Ozen (tied with Lumberton at 3 - 4 but would get 4th place due to head to head) 5 Lumberton Playoff pairings with 19-4A.... Vidor will get paired with Crosby (Crosby's defense has been really good lately), Central gets winner of CE King GC Mem, PN-G gets either CE King or more likely B Hill, and Ozen gets paired with Dayton. Haven't studied div I bracket, but Angleton will be on the side of the bracket PN-G gets (if Angleton wins their district) and Ozen or Dayton's biggest test will be Brenham. Glad Dayton is off the last Friday, I might try to get to the Babe and watch PN-G vs Central... What a way to end the season. Just curious... If CE King wins vs GC Memorial and Barbers Hill loses to Crosby, B Hill, GC Memorial, and CE King might eventually all finish with tied records. Anyone know the tie breaker for 19-4A?
  8. What a week in 20-4A! Last week Toups Graphics went 1 and 3 in 19-4A, and this week 20-4A is 1 and 3. Congratulations to... The Ozen Panthers! What a victory! LC-M Bears! The BOJO reappeared against the defensless Lions. And... TO THE PN-G INDIANS! What a HUGE victory for the Indians as the undefeated season continues! The results can be read at [Hidden Content] They are pasted below... Make sure you check out the new Power Rankings for 20-4A, who is on top, and who is in 4th place now? TOUPS GRAPHICS RESULTS WEEK 7 20-4A GAME OF THE WEEK VIDOR vs PN-G TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION VIDOR 21 PN-G 17 THE RESULT PN-G 35 VIDOR 13 WOW! The Indians ambush of the Pirates was successful. The PN-G Indians undefeated season continues as the beating drums sounding Cherokee are heard louder and louder, now the sound is being heard all the way to the Brazos River. The Indians dismantle the powerful Pirates and sink the Black Pearl. If the Indians and Jaguars both hold court, what a season finale the Golden Triangle will have at the Babe when the two tangle for the district championship. Lumberton vs Ozen TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LUMBERTON 35 OZEN 14 THE RESULT OZEN 22 LUMBERTON 17 WOW! WOW!! Talk about throwing a monkey wrench in the playoff engine! This win might just put Ozen in the playoffs. Going through the remaining schedule, Ozen might just need one more win to go to the play-offs. Lumberton couldn't overcome the fierce openning schedule and loses yet again in the last seconds. A comeback drive falls just short and now the L-Train might have been derailed for a postseason ride. Livingston vs LC-M TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LIVINGSTON 35 LC-M 21 LC-M 49 LIVINSTON 41 WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! Toups Graphics misses three predictions this week in 20-4A. Congratulations to the Bears for sending the Lions back to Polk county with their tails between their legs. Livingston's big weakness once again surfaces... NO DEFENSE! Livingston scores plenty to win, but the Bears manage to post seven touchdowns on the Lions and celebrate through the night. Central vs Nederland TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CENTRAL 42 NEDERLAND 14 THE RESULT CENTRAL 35 NEDERLAND 14 Central was Toups Graphics only correct prediction in 20-4A. Almost nailing my predicted score, the Jaguars take the Bulldogs to the pound while BMT Soulja feasts on his 4th quarter turkey leg. Central keeps on rolling through district and next week faces the resurging Ozen Panthers. The battle for the Babe might just be a dandy. 19-4A ACTION Game of the Week Barbers Hill vs Dayton TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION DAYTON 28 BARBERS HILL 14 THE RESULT DAYTON 24 BARBERS HILL 21 Barbers Hill has to be looking back to the 1st half of this game and thinking, if we could have came away with more than 7 points... The Eagles dominated the game in the 1st half, but could only muster 7 points, then in the third quarter, KABOOM!!! The Bronco offense, led by a sophomore qb throwing to primarily three sophomore receivers ingites and goes off for nearly two hundred yards of offense and three touchdowns. Meanwhile the Bronco's defense in the third quarter totally halts the Ealges offense, the Eagles rev up the passing game in the 4th quarter, but it was too little to late. A great game at Bronco stadium caps off the complete sweep of Dayton over Barbers Hill. All football teams from Dayton top Barbers Hill living the residents of Old River no doubt that when it comes to football, the Broncos run the show in town. Crosby vs North Forest TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CROSBY 49 NORTH FOREST 7 THE RESULT CROSBY 28 NORTH FOREST 0 Crosby doesn't rack up the 49 points, but ANOTHER shut out! It has been a while since somebody has scored on the Cougar defense. The Cougars are now just two wins away from a district championship. Galena Park vs Goose Creek Memorial Patriots TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL 28 GALENA PARK 7 THE RESULT GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL 22 GALENA PARK 19 The Patriots come off last weeks big win over Barbers Hill and have a huge case of the hiccups! They barely hold on to a victory as the Yellow Jackets almost avoid the bug zapper this week. In the end the alluring light was too much for the Yellow Jackets and ZAP! 1000 watts of energy once again sends the Jackets to defeat. SATURDAY AT TURNER FIELD CE King vs Kingwood Park Which Panther will have more power this Saturday night? Last week both teams had victories, which one will have a two game winning streak after Saturday? Look for CE King to find some of last year's magic and stay in sights of a playoff spot. CE King this Saturday will be the Panthers that purr the loudest. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CE KING 21 KINGWOOD PARK 20 TOUPS GRAPHICS POWER RANKINGS OCTOBER 17 Toups Graphics "Power Ranks" District 19-4A and 20-4A The Power Rankings are based on how the district will finish and not current wins and losses. 4th place in 20-4A is now UP FOR GRABS! Almost a gaurantee that a 3 and 4 team makes the playoffs. With Livingston losing to LC-M the Lumberton win over Livingston is probably meaningless. The biggest win of the week has to be Ozen, one more victory for the Panthers could send the two Beaumont 4A schools to the playoffs, meanwhile at the Reservation, I - N - D - I - A - N - S , Cherokee was played over and over as the Indians tomahawk the Pirates and sink the Black Pearl. The big win for the Indians put the tribe to the top spot while Ozen having victories over Nederland and Lumberton go to the 4th spot. Meanwhile... In 19-4A all is the same, Toups Graphics so far has all the predictions correct with Kingwood Park playing CE King tonight. 19-4A CROSBY DAYTON BRONCOS GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL BARBERS HILL CE KING PANTHERS KINGWOOD PARK GALENA PARK NORTH FOREST 20-4A PN-G CENTRAL VIDOR OZEN LUMBERTON LIVINGSTON NEDERLAND LC-M WEEK 4 RESULTS 4 CORRECT 3 WRONG 57.1% TOUPS GRAPHICS 2009 RESULTS 58 CORRECT 17 WRONG - 77.3% TOUPS GRAPHICS 2008 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 53 AND 22 = 70% TOUPS GRAPHICS 2007 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 47 AND 15 =76%
  9. The video is almost down transferring to my computer... I do believe the ref made the correct call in the 4th quarter... The ball did go around the pylon, but.... HIS FOOT WAS OUT OF BOUNDS at the one yard line where the ball was spotted... Will post the replay on YouTube Monday morning (no highspeed at my house now). Back to the game... WHAT A GAME FOR THE SOPHOMORES! A nonexistent offens in the 1st quarter, the Broncos started clicking in the 2nd quarter, then the stampede was something to behold in the 3rd quarter. Three touchdowns in about 7 minutes of the game clock for about 200 yards in offense. Dayton got back the ball one more time in the 4th quarter then ensued to chew up almost the entire 4th quarter as the drive ended on the 4th down play at the 1 yard line. Good thing Barbers Hill didn't want to throw the ball around in the 1st half when they had the Broncos on the ropes.
  10. daytons offense finally clicked soph qb and 3 soph receivers put on a show 21 pt 3rd qtr explosion put up about 200 yards of offense in about 8 minutes future looks bright for bronco fans sweep of b hill now complete
  11. I believe daytom has 5 sophs playing on offense last 2 times dayton had the ball they finally started moving lots of kids pulled up for this game b hill is playing a good game bet they wished they had more than 7 points dayton did not move the ball at alll in the 1st qtr
  12. District 2006 PF 269 PA 49 District 2007 PF 252 PA 28 And those scores were against much better teams than what Crosby has played this year....
  13. Not even close to the Dayton team from three years ago that rolled through 20-4A. Remember... Except for Dayton... I don't think 19-4A has had another team get past the 2nd round in the football playoffs in like FOREVER! Congrats to Crosby on their win last week, you certainly hammered the Broncos. The real success comes when you keep on advancing in the playoffs. um.... Crosby last year? Beat those District champs then one another then lost to Brenham... so their went that. As for one and done... We will see my friends... Crosby only has been one and done lately because of playing Dayton... lets see your kids put up when it matters... fyi this crosby squad is playing on a different level than they did in the first 2 games of the season.... Fyi PNG didn't score all that many points (ennis scored a bunch but PNG not that many) as for being close to what we scored your funny my friend. Vidor/Lumberton first round... get ready to get dispatched. Sorry about that... Forgot Crosby upended Lumberton, beat a low rated Houston ISD team then lost to Brenham, oh yeah.... Brenham was the team that Dayton was beating 35 to 0 at halftime in the quarterfinals last year... Enjoy your next few wins because reality will occur in four weeks.
  14. Well said, I have an interest in the sub-varsity games (nephews, friends and such) but Friday is the only one that goes in the books. You got that right!!! I hope the Broncos come out with some enthusiasm tonight. The defense will need a big game, and... GOOD LUCK TO ANDREAS!!! Message to Andreas from TOUPS GRAPHICS.... ALWAYS BELIEVE!
  15. 16. Odds are in four short weeks he will be dribbling a basketball.
  17. Cummulative scores... Dayton vs Barbers Hill 7th Grade B TEAM DAYTON 18 BARBERS HILL 13 A TEAM DAYTON 32 BARBERS HILL 12 8TH GRADE B TEAM DAYTON 14 BARBERS HILL 6 8TH GRADE A TEAM DAYTON 7 BARBERS HILL 0 FRESHMEN B TEAM DAYTON 12 BARBERS HILL 0 FRESHMEN A TEAM DAYTON 22 BARBERS HILL 0 JV DAYTON 16 BARBERS HILL 6 TOTAL.... DAYTON 121 BARBERS HILL 37 In the one sport that really matters in SE TX there is no comparison between the Broncos and the Eagles.... Hopefully tonight the Broncos can make it a clean sweep!
  18. Five down three to go.... Will the Broncos make it a perfect sweep this year over the Eagles...
  19. Make my #2 standings come true... although.... deep down..... I - N - D - I - A - N - S SCALP EM INDIANS SCALP EM!!!
  20. Would love to see my alma mater win this week, but at the beginning of the year I had Central #1, Vidor #2, PN-G #3, and Lumberton #4. For that to happen, Vidor would have to win Friday. Should be a great game at the Reservation. The PN-G fans really got their money's worth with the season tickets this year. Will be interesting to see who Dayton gets in the 1st round, it will either be PN-G or Lumberton.
  21. How the elementary schools treat the high school games also adds a lot to the future of the fan base. The first song you learn at Port Neches ISD is Cherokee. You are raised to be an Indian in that school district and it does make a difference in the fan support. If the school of my employment ever does have an off week, I will always try to get and watch PN-G play. It's part of that "special spirit" that you leave behind when you graduate from PN-G. It's hard to relay this message unless you went through it.
  22. I know in the past we have played with 2 freshmen team... Guess only one is playing tonight. If the blue team is your "B team" and Dayton is only playing 1 freshmen team, that game will be ugly... Pretty cool that the Eagles freshmen get to line up against north shore. About the band... I totally agree, it really adds to the environment of Friday Night Lights.
  23. Now that would not have anything to do with you being employed there now would it!!!! ;D Not employed by Lumberton... It was neat seeing those students really support their team in spite of getting beat really bad (believe the final was 56 to 7 or something like that).
  24. Of all the games that Dayton has played over the last five years... The best student section at an away game has to go to the Lumberton Raiders. They played Dayton here (the year before they beat us in Lumberton) and got thumped by the Broncos, but the student section was just AWEsome. Alot of the kids had face paint on and they were continually encouraging their team. I won't forget how much fun these kids were having supporting their players even though they were getting hammered.
