I do believe that BH is up 2-1 vs Dayton on this group, with the one Dayton has coming via a ;missed PAT. We will see----but this group is gonna be one to watch I have heard some coaches say this freshman group is the most talented group they have seen since they've been in Dayton . From what I have seen, it is one of the best, but doesn't have the impact players like Dugat and Green. However... The 9th graders at Dayton do have abundant size and SPEED! (lots of players in the 9th grade group are game breakers). Will be interesting to see how they turn out as seniors.

Believe it or not, the Panthers will go into halftime with the lead, but the Raiders will use a huge 2nd half to even their district record at 2 and 2. The Broncos have spent this week getting reshoed and look for the Bronco defense to play a huge game. If the Eagles can score points they have a shot this Friday at Bronco Stadium, but look for the Broncos speed to break lose in this game. The seniors at Dayton will complete their high school football careers as never losing to the Eagles in football (including junior high). The Broncos roll Friday night while the Ealges start a two game losing streak. The team to go to state in this area running the wild cat (which basically is the spread offense) has been Dayton. Obviously Lake Travis and Sulphur Springs also excelled at that offense. If you got the athletes, it is very difficult to slow down that offensive scheme (unless you have half a dozen turnovers).

Whoever is QB Friday night will have a great game for the Broncos. The defense really needs to make a statement for the Broncos. The Eagles offense it not too shabby. Hopefully the Broncos come out ready to play with some attitude.

Half full home section in PN-G is larger than many other home sections around here. If.... PN-G does make a long playoff run... Watch as the crowd size keeps increasing each week.

Not many schools even come close to the season ticket base the Indian fans have. 5000 plus Indian fans clapping and singing Cherokee is a sight that no other team around here can duplicate.

the answer to that is yes. We could've scored 70 2 years ago in the playoffs. I believe we were at 49 at the end of the 3rd quarter. congrats on the win Crosby.... Good luck the rest of the way. I heard a rumor that Stewart one year refused to shake hands after a win one year...... Is that true?.... I heard he just waved at the Crosby coaches and his team just ran off.... If that is true then shame on him.... in fact, that shows Flannigan has real class to extend his hand after that win! That was the year that there was a bench clearing brawl (caused by a late hit from a Crosby Cougar). Dayton cleared the field after the game to avoid more confrontation.

Or... The SHURFIN CHAMPIONSHIP What will it be Sunday in Old River Baptist church. Purple Bronco Day! Or Blue Eagle Day! Will be interesting this week... If... Dayton wins the Freshmen, JV, and Varsity games, they will complete the total sweep.

Remember... The true winner of these polls is the last team left playing... Hopefully some of these teams will be playing in December. Being ranked #1 now doesn't mean anything if you get knocked out of the playoffs in week 1. Just ask Lumberton last year how much their district cochampion carried them into the playoffs.

Toups Graphics goes 5 and 3 this week. 19-4A gave Toups Graphics the three incorrect picks, but his four picks for 20-4A were on the mark. A lot of big teams go down in the cool wind driven rain, The biggest has to be PAM knocking out North Shore, also Silsbee upends West Orange, and in 19-4A Crosby takes the Broncos to the woodshed, for the first time in many years, Dayton might not be district champs or at least get a share of a co champ. The game video of Crosby and Dayton will be done tomorrow (Toups Graphics has to go to Houston today). Not many highlights there, Crosby did a great job, but really didn't have any big offensive plays, they just put the ball into the endzone with 5 yard runs, the highlights would feature a lot of Bronco turnovers. Don't count on the Broncos giving you the Eagles the ball four times in the red zone off turnovers. Will be interesting to see how both teams bounce back after terrible showings.

Hopefully Ploch will be ok... That hit was the exclamation point for the Cougars. Just curious... Looked up about midway through the 4th quarter and lots of Crosby fans had left (about 20% of them), I know it was raining and all, but it is like beating Dayton hasn't happened in forever. Would think the fans would savor the moment, even if it was rainy.

Congrats to the Cougars! I might talk a lot of smack here, and be somewhat "abrasive", but I am man enough to know that this is all about the kids, for the kids in Crosby, what a game. Finally beating Dayton. Crosby played a great game tonight, converted several 3rd and longs and even about three 4th downs. And there defense slowed the mighty Bronco offense down to a halt. For the kids in Crosby, be smart and have fun celebrating... The Broncos will bounce back (DON'T STOP BELIEVING!) Winning produces confidence Losing builds character... Great champions have both confidence and character! Crosby just got a huge bolt of confidence and for the young men in Dayton, they learned a lot about character tonight.
