Barbers Hill VS. Goose Creek Memorial Prediction
PURPLE 4EVER replied to whitewolf09's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Good luck to the Eagles this Friday. Looks like the Eagles are playing some great ball this year. Easily the best team you have had since the twins graduated (the Eagles last playoff team) See you next week, if you hear a rumbling sound from the north next week, it might be the stampeding Broncos! -

PURPLE 4EVER replied to PURPLE 4EVER's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The scores from Tuesday... 8th "A" Dayton 7 BH 0 8th "B" Dayton won Dayton 14 BH 7 7th "A" Dayton 32 BH 12 7th "B" Dayton 18 BH 13 Any news on the BH qb in 9th grade, (he was the 8th A team QB last year) that guy had a rocket arm. The 7th grade BH A Team had a lot of size, but the speed still belongs to Dayton. The 7th grade Dayton team is LOADED with speed, and an AWEsome QB. BHFan.... Check out the youth football thread to read some comments about the JH games. -

JH Dayton vs Barbers Hill Scores
PURPLE 4EVER replied to bronco1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
The kids between the Trinity and the San Jacinto learn this lesson really early... When it comes to the only sport that counts (FOOTBALL) DAYTON RUNS THE SHOW! 7th Grade Ponies are AWEsome!!! and the 8th Grade Ponies are EASILY the most improved bunch of kids from 7th to 8th grade that Coach Wilson and his staff have worked with! WAY TO GO PONIES! For the BH fans... got a lot of talent in junior high still feeding up to high school, but.... It is still not as good as Dayton's (at least in the one sport that matters). -
Problem i see right now is the winds aloft will be parallel to the front causing it not to move real fast! Say it aint so coop! Could be a long rain event then...

"It just fustrates me when ADULTS don't see the big picture. and ya'll are not seeing the problem either... what ever....... I am positive, positive that the Coogs are going to pull this win out even if THEIR COMMUNITY DOES NOT BELIEVE!!!! (their is my whole point in big letters for the people not understanding me)" That my young man is the key to all the successes of you future! NEVER EVER STOP BELIEVING YOU CAN SUCCEED! Even if the odds are stacked against you, go out and do your best and BELIEVE you will win! That is one of the greatest lessons you learn by playing on the field on Friday Nights in Texas. Win or lose, play your hardest and DON'T STOP BELIEVING!

It's that time of the week! I know all you 4A football fans really want to know who will win. Over the last two weeks Toups Graphics is 15 and 1 in his predictions... There are some AWEsome games this Friday and hopefully the weather will cooperate with NO LIGHTNING! So.... You can go to... [Hidden Content] To read the predictions or... You can read below! TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONS WEEK 6 20-4A GAME OF THE WEEK PN-G vs LIVINGSTON The Indians new chief takes the tribe on the road for the first time this year. They travel up through the piney woods to Livingston where the Lions are waiting for them. This game will be an offensive show down. Look for the Lions to run the ball right down the field and score, but the Indians spread offense keeps pace with the Lions. In the 4th quarter penalties kill a Lions drive and the Indians take advantage and score to stay ahead. The Indians win yet again and Livingston's play off hopes are dashed unless they can upend the mighty Jaguars or Pirates. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION PN-G 42 LIVINGSTON 35 Lumberton vs Central The Babe will be rocking Friday night. Friday Night Lights at its best! The Raiders start off district play with easily the hardest schedule. They managed a split from their first two games, but now face the Toups Graphics Power Ranked #1 team in 20-4A. After this week Central will still be ranked #1 as the Jaguars make enough big plays to give the Raiders their 2nd straight lose in district. Dreams of a three peat are dashed for the Raiders as BMT Soulja replaces the Jaguar band's drum major at the end of the game and does a celebration dance while the band plays the Central fight song. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CENTRAL 21 LUMBERTON 17 Ozen vs Vidor The Pirates host the Panthers this week and after a huge win for Vidor last week in Lumberton, look for the Pirates to pound the Panthers defensive line into submission. The Pirates offense churns out close to 1/2 a thousand yards and the Black Pearl yet again sails off into the horizon with another victory. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION VIDOR 35 OZEN 14 LC-M vs NederlandLC-M once had a two game winning streak, while the Bulldogs haven't been so fortunate this year. If it weren't for bad luck the Bulldogs would have no luck at all in 2009. This game will feature the players giving 100% not to end up at the bottom of the standings. LC-M will get out to an early lead, but the Bulldogs luck reverses and they are able to get two late scores to take the lead and hold on for their first district win. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION NEDERLAND 28 LC-M 21 19-4A ACTION Game of the Week Dayton vs Crosby The Cougars host the Broncos this week in a showdown of undefeated 19-4A records. Crosby is firing on all cylinders in their two district wins, meanwhile last week, the Broncos got some bad gasoline and the offense sputtered, but they were still able to post a 35 to 0 shut out. This week the Broncos put some STP gasoline treatment into the tank along with high octane gasoline. The Broncos offense posts near 500 yards as they demolish the Cougars yet again. Meanwhile the Cougars will be unable to block the speedy front seven from the Broncos defense. The Broncos shut down the Cougars and apply the woodshed beating yet again. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION DAYTON 42 CROSBY 10 Goose Creek Memorial vs Barbers Hill The Eagles are thinking the championship teams from decades and decades ago is returning. This week they host the Patriots and yet again the Eagles will soar to another victory. The Eagles are in a helium balloon flying over the cirrus clouds. Unfortunately for the Eagles their next week opponent is already sending a message. The Eagles powerful junior high teams were stampeded by their neighbors from the north. The Ponies of Dayton swept all four games and started the stampede that will eventually send the Eagles balloon crashing down like the Hindenburg. But for this week the Eagles win again and stay undefeated in 19-4A. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION BARBERS HILL 35 GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL 24 Kingwood Park vs Galena Park Not too much to say about these two teams, the Galena Park Yellow Jackets just keep on flying into the bug zapper, while the Panthers from Kingwood Park keep getting lost in the liveable forest. Something has to give this week. Look for the Panthers to utilize the greatest fieldgoal kicker east of the San Jacinto and three point tally the Yellow Jackets back into the bug zapper. The Panthers win and the Taco Bell victory celebration for Galena Park is postponed yet again. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION KINGWOOD PARK 16 GALENA PARK 7 North Forest vs CE King The Panthers of CE King have gone from almost first to almost worst. Such a great season last year was followed by a dissapointing season, it is like Grease followed by Grease II (a huge dud). North Forest on the other hand hasn't found a way to win a game this year, but look for the perfection to end as the Bulldogs squeek by the Panthers. The Panthers start singing Beauty School Drop Out as the Bulldogs storm the field and give their coach a gatorade bath. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION NORTH FOREST 21 CE KING 7 TOUPS GRAPHICS POWER RANKINGS OCTOBER 3 Toups Graphics "Power Ranks" District 19-4A and 20-4A The Power Rankings are based on how the district will finish and not current wins and losses. This week the Power Rankings remain unchanged. 19-4A DAYTON BRONCOS CROSBY BARBERS HILL GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL CE KING PANTHERS KINGWOOD PARK GALENA PARK NORTH FOREST 20-4A CENTRAL VIDOR PN-G LUMBERTON LIVINGSTON OZEN LC-M NEDERLAND WEEK 4 RESULTS 8 CORRECT 0 WRONG 100% TOUPS GRAPHICS 2009 RESULTS 49 CORRECT 11 WRONG - 78.5% TOUPS GRAPHICS 2008 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 53 AND 22 = 70% TOUPS GRAPHICS 2007 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 47 AND 15 =76%

A District game will be played out. May have to come back the next day but it will be finished. The only time you see a game called and not finished is a pre district game. Just curious... What if it is 35 to 3 with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter, can the coaches agree to call the game, or must it be finished?

Angleton 48 Friendswood 33
PURPLE 4EVER replied to prepballfan's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Even as a PN-G graduate... I saw the Indians against Texas City... They just don't have the overall team speed to advance real deep in the playoffs. Seems like Angleton has some real speed demons, but if they are a run based offense, I like Dayton's chances. No run based team has beaten Dayton in the playoffs, and this might be one of the best front seven defensive fronts that Dayton has put on the field. -
AMEN!!! Just keep the lightning away, with that, there is no playing.
-
I believe the rule is there must be 30 minutes of no lightning to resume play. I don't know if there is a time limit to call the game. Another thing to remember here... The further west and north you are the sooner during the day the rain will clear.... The PN-G game in Livingston game will have the rain stop probably at least three to five hours before it clears in the Beaumont area (assumming the weather is moving between 20 and 30 miles per hour). Hopefully the cold front picks up steam and moves through the area in the afternoon. And.... When the cold front does clear the area you would assume you would have a very strong north westerly wind blowing.
-
Thank goodness we have a playoff system where the real champion is determined on the field of play.
-
COOP... The line should be moving pretty quick, but it looks like a pretty wide area of rain on Friday with the front... We could be looking at showers from noon until midnight... What time does it look like the front will be clearing the TX Lousiana border?

Barbers Hill VS. Goose Creek Memorial Prediction

2009 DISTRICT ACCOUNTABILITY SUMMARY DISTRICT NAME: GOOSE CREEK CISD DISTRICT NUMBER: 101911 ACCOUNTABILITY RATING: Recognized DISTRICT NAME: BARBERS HILL ISD DISTRICT NUMBER: 036902 ACCOUNTABILITY RATING: Academically Acceptable Just wondering... Did Goose Creek get ACORN to handle their TAKS scores???? -
Watching all the junior high games over the last decade one thing is true... No team in this area does more with the talent they start off with than Dayton. The coaching staff at Dayton is top notch. Almost all the high school coaches are at every junior high game. The kids improve dramatically from 7th to 12th grade like no other program between Houston and Beaumont. It is little wonder they have been pounding practically everybody they play around here. If you got a son in the Dayton schools involved in athletics you are a very blessed person to be able to have him influenced by the men that Coach Stewart has surrounded himself with. They are nothing but the best and they get all they can out of each kid.

Most districts are passing out report cards on Thursday, if the student is not passing, they are ineligible on that day.

Barbers Hill VS. Goose Creek Memorial Prediction
PURPLE 4EVER replied to whitewolf09's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Hey Eagle fans.... Tonight Dayton and Barbers Hill 7th and 8th grade teams play... Look for some great games tonight. 8th grade is at Barbers Hill and 7th grade is at Dayton. Lately these games have been really close, should be some great competition... and of course... Good luck this week vs the Patriots. -
It's Tuesday! Time for the weekly Previews. GOOD LUCK TO THE TEAMS THIS FRIDAY! And coop.... You better keep the rain away this Friday evening The previews can be read at... [Hidden Content] They are copied below... TOUPS GRAPHICS PREVIEWS WEEK 6 20-4A GAME OF THE WEEK PN-G vs LIVINGSTON This game is picked because the playoff implications for the loser and winner are huge! Livingston has already lost to Vidor, and a loss to the Indians could eliminate them if they can't win against either Vidor or Central, and PN-G still has to play Lumberton, Central, and Vidor. This is also the first week the tribes new chief has to leave the Reservation, and the visiting stadium will resrict the number of Indian faithful that can follow the team. Will the Lions be able to reverse the fortunes of their last home loss against the Raiders, and will the tribe be able to win their first road game of the year and stay unbeaten. Who will win? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Lumberton vs Central If you had to pick one game to go to this week, the Babe would be an excellent choice. With the win over Vidor the Jaguars appear to be the front runners in 20-4A. Lumberton lost a heartbreaker to the Pirates at home and now must travel across Pine Island Bayou and down to the Babe to face another great opponent. Will the Raiders be able to outlast a brutal back to back to back game schedule? The Raiders easily have the toughtest start of anybody in 20-4A, if they win this one, they are in a strong position for a three peat. Will the Jaguars be able to stay on top of the mountain? This will be a great game Friday, expect a packed house at the Babe. Who will win? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Ozen vs Vidor The Pirates were able to go to Lumberton last week and shut down the L-Train, something no other team has done in years. Now the face the Panthers from Ozen at home. Will the Pirates be able to smash mouth the Panthers and ram the ball between the tackles all night? Will the Panthers be able to make a few big plays and stay in the game? Who will win? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LC-M vs Nederland These two teams seem destined to have a quick start at basketball season this year. There is no first round draft choice to be had for last place, so expect both teams to give it their all at Bulldog stadium. Can LC-M somehow find a way to win again this year, and can the Bulldogs reverse their bad luck fortunes of 2009? Who will win? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION 19-4A ACTION Game of the Week Dayton vs Crosby This is likely the game for the district championship, although Barbers Hill may have something to say about that. Over the last decade when the Cougars have faced the Broncos it meant a trip to the woodshed were they were given at least a four touchdown beating. Despite having three long drives end on failed fourth downs last week, the Broncos were still able to shut down the Bulldogs and win in a blowout 35 to 0. More impressive, the Broncos held the Bulldogs to less than 80 yards of total offense for the whole game. Will the Broncos defense continue to lay the wood on the Cougars, or will the Cougars finally find a way to beat the Broncos? Who will win? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Goose Creek Memorial vs Barbers Hill Looking at the Toups Graphics Power Rankings below, this might just be the game for the bronze medal. Last Friday the Eagles barely escaped an upset while the Patriots were retreating back to Baytown after being mawled by the Cougars. This week the Patriots cross Cedar Bayou to battle the Eagles. Who will win? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Kingwood Park vs Galena Park The Yellow Jackets host the Panthers. Both teams have fell on to hard times in 2009. Will the Yellow Jackets avoid flying into the bug zapper this week and can the Panthers avoid being declawed again? Who will win? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION North Forest vs CE King The Panthers of CE King have gone from almost first to almost worst. Such a great season last year was followed by a dissapointing season, it is like Grease followed by Grease II (a huge dud). Will the Panthers be singing Beauty School Drop Out if they loss to the lowly North Forest Bulldogs, or will the Bulldogs continue their perfect (wrong way) season. Who will win? Check back Thursday for.... The low on Friday night occurs at sunrise on Saturday morning. A cold front is supposed to come through on Friday. Hopefully it will be like last week, when the front came through in the morning and there was no rain in the evening.

The Livingston offense is one-dimensional.....
PURPLE 4EVER replied to EagleAG03's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Of the playoff teams Dayton faced last year, Livingston would have beaten any of them in Region III (don't think they could have beat Tivy and no way could they have beated Sulphur Springs). I did see PN-G play Texas City this year. They have a good offense, but the speed just isn't there for a deep playoff run. If the same Livingston team that played Dayton last year played the PN-G team I saw against Texas City, I would have to give the edge to Livingston. That being said, for PN-G to win they will have to do what Lumberton did, outscore the Lions, which isn't hard because the Livinston defense isn't much to shout about. -
Over the last two years of the Broncos advancing in the playoffs, this one fact is true.. After you get past the 3rd round of the playoffs the speed of the game drastically increases. The athletes get bigger and faster. You can get around not having speed in district, but to make it to the title game it is almost necessary that you have speed. This is really true in the lines. If your defensive front is much quicker than the offensive front you can shut down a very good running team (like Dayton did to Texas City two years ago and to Brenham last year).

Angleton 48 Friendswood 33
PURPLE 4EVER replied to prepballfan's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
not fair to compare team stats since the teams in Dayton's districts are powder puff teams. Angleton has to play 100% every week in their district. Dayton didn't fire on all cylinders last week and still managed to win in a blowout 35 to 0. -
Now online at youtube Do a search for.... toupsgraphics Just posted this morning... You are gauranteed a chuckle out of the highlight video, it is about 6 mintues long.

PN-G vs Livingston tickets available???
PURPLE 4EVER replied to Indianforever's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Question is... Whose tickets won't be honored... It might be the first 1500 to show up. Will be interesting to see if the tickets were oversold already, you probably got to figure that PN-G did not know of the limited number of tickets available for that game when they sold the season tickets last spring.
