You got to think Central, Vidor, PN-G, Lumberton, and Livinston will be in the top 5 at the end of the year. (no disrespect to LC-M, Nederland, and Ozen). The Lumberton Vidor game could have a deciding factor in the district championship. If I had to pick one game to go to I would always see a PN-G vs Nederland game, but this year the Lumberton Vidor game does have more impact on the season ending district standings.

Last week the Raiders travelled to Livingston and were able to celebrate with a blizzard on the way home at the DQ in Woodville. A one touchdown win kept the Raiders perfect. Now the Raiders face the most potent running offense east of the Trinity. Will the L-Train's defense be able to slow down the mighty Pirates and can the Pirates defense hold the Raiders to a point total that doesn't break the bank. Will the Pirates be sailing the Black Pearl with a full set of sails or will the L-Train keep rolling down the line. Who will win? Check back Thursday for..... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LC-M vs Central The Bears once had a two game winning streak, until they got skinned by the Indians last week at the Reservation. Will BMT Soulja be able to dance at midfield after a Jaguar blowout, or will the Bears take the Jaguars to the end of the game and make BMT Soulja take more high blood pressure medicine? Last week the Panthers were spoiling Nederland's homecoming. Now the Panthers are 1 and 0 and the Lions are 0 and 1. After this week will the records be 2 and 0, and 0 and 2 or will they both be an even 0.500 at 1 and 1? Who will win? Check back Thursday for... The kids going to that school district didn't squander all their tax money like the superintendant and the school board did. The adults in that district can't even run their own school district (much less be effective parents to their kids). Just a sad situation.

Will be interesting to see who has the political clout... From my sources Galena Park was responsible for putting Dayton over into the Beaumont district. Wish we could stay in that district, but our officials raised such a fuss over transportation, who knows if the UIL would put us back in with the Beaumont district. All I know is that in football Dayton will steamroll 19-4A this year (there may not be a team that comes within 20 points of Dayton this year in district). Dayton would certainly make 20-4A much stronger. My gut tells me Barbers Hill will be moved over to the Beaumont district before Dayton does, but who knows... Barbers Hill may have some say so in the realignment process. Will be interesting to see how it all unfolds out.

Best years where from 65 to 84 ;D Good luck to both teams this Friday. One of the great games in High School football.

Ploch has really impressed me (thankfully I haven't been trucked yet). Very hard to match up to his stats... The Dayton offense is really clicking, defense is getting better each week, but I think it has much more room to improve than the offense. If the Broncos continue to improve as they have done the last few years, they really should be the favorites to get out of division II region III.

This will be like a game of old when a visit to Smiley or Forest Brook would mean the Broncos hit up the scoreboard for 70 points. Hopefully all of us will get out of the neighborhood with all four of our hubcaps.

Solid teams, but when was the last time a 20-4A team got out of the Houston region... Last year Centrals run to the quarter finals was the best a 20-4A team has done in a long time.

I would take Dayton -20 over Goose Creek.

What is really scary is taking junior high kids over there and leaving at night. It is ashame the kids of that district live everyday in that mess.

I work at Dayton's junior high. Last week our girls played North Forest in volleyball. The team showed up in t-shirs with numbers taped to them. We lent them some jerseys to play the game in... You really got to feel for the kids in that district. The adults are so inept in that area that can't be trusted to run the everyday aspects of the district. Just a sad situation.

Last night I was in my "posh" Baytown home which has electricity and running water. I was at the dinner table eating a meal that was not killed, nor cleaned by any member of my family. We were watching a television (its' not really a "magic box") and the MTV (Music Television) Video Awards came on. With the sounds of gang related gunfire in the distance, I had revelations of the PERFECT analogy. Dayton is the equivalent of Taylor Swift: adored by many, successful, lots of trophies and the current fad. GCM is Kanye West: new on the block, not sure of how people will respond to their success, rough around the edges. Just like Kanye, GCM also plans to steal the microphone for a brief moment in time on Friday night, make their statement, and wait and see how the rest of the world reacts! GCM by 3! I am sure your English would be proud of the symbolism used here. Good luck tomorrow night. Tell your buddies to get used to watching the numbers 8 and 20. Those two numbers will be on the back of two Broncos, you will see these numbers often as you chase them down the field to the end zone. The numbers eight and twenty will also produce many multiples of six that will be continually added to the Broncos score on the new score board. In mathematics terms.... The combination of eight and twenty will produce five multiples of six.

The Eagles use three 2nd half turnovers to vault them to 2 and 0 in district play. The loser at least can say they still have a perfect record (but it is the wrong way). Galena Park will travel to North Forest Friday and take out the Bulldogs. The Yellow Jackets sting is back, while the Bulldogs of North Forest are still soaking in the flea bath. As previously stated... At the varsity level the clock can not be run, but the officials can "eat some of the clock" with their discretion. At junior high the coaches can agree to run the clock (which happens often at the Dayton Junior High games). Kind of amazing, but when the Michael Dugat, then AJ and Cody, were Ponies at Dayton, the clock would run ALL third and fourth quarter (8 minute quarters), but they were still putting up point totals in the 40's. Speed certainly is the biggest factor in junior high football (and there is still plenty of it coming through Dayton). This years 7th graders are another stellar bunch (A team in three games has scored 89 points and given up 0!)

The Neptune site was costing me about $80 a year... I might be able to squeek by and get that again. I am trying to overlay the video with my voice doing play by play on the highlights, but... Last week I got the one day virus and my voice still isn't 100%. I have also upgrade my computer to do the HD video, but Vista S U C _ _ ! I have been updating the software and just this week I got it working pretty good. I should be able to upload a lot more videos this week. JUST CURIOUS.... I am very conscious I am videoing kids and I am trying to put the video in as secure a site as possible... Need some feedback here... Do yall think I should just start uploading all the videos to You Tube? Would appreciate the feedback. Sorry the videos are lacking behind the games.
