Livingston was the best team in Region III that the Broncos played last year. If they have a similar game this Friday night against the Raiders it will be a long night for the L-Train, but... over the last couple of years the L-Train has found a way to win these games. This will be a really good game.

If.... Both teams make the playoffs... The loser will get Dayton in the first round. For the first week this is a big game. Livingston was EASILY the best team the Broncos faced in Region III during the playoffs last year. Will be interesting to see how much the Lions lost from that team. The weak link for last years Lions was the defense. In 20-4A there will be a lot of games that could go either way.

First game in district will be big for Livingston... If Livingston would have beaten Lumberton last year, they wouldn't have been paired with Dayton. From what I saw, Livingston was the best team Dayton played in Region until the Broncos played Tivy. At the end of the year, Livingston and Central were easily playing the best football in 20-4A. IMO... To make a run in the playoffs it is all about peaking at the end of the season, which is what Livingston did last year, they just got paired against Dayton in bi-district.

Ouch - how many yards did that Dayton JV offense have tonite? Wasn't at the game, but... The flu is really hitting the Broncos hard this week... Don't know if any JV players missed because of illness. I do know many of the JV players were pulled up for this week. Hopefully the varsity players get better soon.

Actually... Dayton IS west of the Trinity and north of I-10... By your definition... The Trinity goes just south of downtown Dallas and just north of downtown Fort Worth... That eliminates your DFW northern suburbs (like Plano) It also eliminates Long View and Sulphur Springs (both EAST of the Trinity). I think the teams being most successful right now are from Abiline going east along the I-20 corridor. DFW would be the center of this.
