How Truthful Is Pelosi???
PURPLE 4EVER replied to PURPLE 4EVER's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Will be interesting if their is a new speaker... Wonder who is next in line? This will be a very interesting soap opera with many twists and mistruths. -
Seems to me that someone who is two heart beats away from being President would know more about the torture and the war on terror than she is now saying. This was an interesting article on msnbc about Pelosi's current delima. [Hidden Content] She has put both her feet in her mouth and now IMO is to a point of no return. I think if the democrats maintain the house in the next election there may be an effort to remove her from the speaker's position. Should be interesting to see how the soap opera of life that is DC will spin this one. What do you guys think... Did Pelosi know more than what she is leading on, or is she white as a sheet?

Why argue with the brainwashed Bush followers?....Waste of time...Thats the SE Texas way.. Once again if you folks think that the economic situation that we are in is not a DIRECT result of your boy George W., then you are dumber than I thought you were. HOW can you go back to the Clinton years and attepmt to blame THEM? Our economy was BOOMING during those years! Bush was a BULLY....Just like your forefathers were BULLIES back in their day...Thieves, liars, and backstabbers! ALL OF THEM....Sad. Wanna refute that fact? Didn't think you would. Just thought they could just TAKE what they wanted...JUST LIKE GEORGE W. If that is what you think of the USA... THEN MOVE! Truth of the matter... BOTH PARTIES HAVE HOSED THE AMERICAN PUBLIC!
-
AMEN! Clinton sat back and watched the USS Cole get bombed, killing Americans and DID NOTHING! Then Obama within his first 100 days SETS THE MAN FREE that masterminded the bombing. Must be pretty nice being a Bush hater... Just like the sheep in animal farm... gullible enough to follow anything read to them... "democrats good, bush bad..."
-
Read Animal Farm... Some of us are not as gullible as the sheep in the book that believe everything that is read to them by the liberal media. Bush had his faults (as did EVERY president), but it isn't that hard to find the good that he did. I guess since you are so brainwashed, you are UNABLE to notice that when the economy went down hill the last two years of his administration, the democrats WERE IN CHARGE OF CONGRESS! Keep drinking the kool aid and believing everything that is fed to you by the biased media. You must have memorized from Animal Farm.... "Four legs good, two legs bad...." or in modern times.... "Democrats good, Bush is bad"

"We won, you lost THE KIDS LOST! Get over it! Stop whining." Smitty, I know that in five years from now when the kids across the track are attending new schools you will be the first one to visit all the Bulldog students in the ancient elementary schools and tell them we can keep on patching the roofs and maintain our buildings and you don't need to attend a new school because I was a penny pincher and didn't want to pay for you to have a better education. Granted this bond would have done better if they would have taken out the athletic facility expenditures, but still. You are gloating over not wanting to invest in the children of your community! You must enjoy the company with all of the other ogres who live under the bridge.

#1 He did WHATEVER WAS NEEDED to keep our country safe! #2 Despite the HUGE amount of hate that was thrown his way, he seemed to have huge shoulders and didn't care what the media was saying. He knew what was right and was directed by that. #3 The Supreme Court Justices he appointed were home runs #4 Taxes were kept lower, and during the first six years of his administration we had perhaps the greatest expanding ecomony in current history. To me his failures... Didn't have enough regulation on banks and mortgage companies (although democrats share the blame for this in the congressional committees that over saw these things) To me the biggest failure was his failure to secure the Mexican border

BRONCO FNL DVD VIDEOS UPDATE...
PURPLE 4EVER replied to PURPLE 4EVER's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I have been really busy at school, but the DVD's were FINALLY delivered to the football players. I HOPE THEY ENJOY THEM! It is pretty AWEsome to watch the end of the TIVY game. AJ Dugat made some just tremendously AWEsome plays in the last part of that game. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES BRONCOS! -
agree... It will be hard for the parents of Nederland to explain to their kids why their friends at PN-G are going to new schools and have much better facilities. As a parent telling your child that you don't have the same thing because you didn't want to pay for it probably won't fly. As time passses on the repairs and costs for rebuilding will only increase.

**Rockets vs Lakers Series Thread**Lakers Advance!
PURPLE 4EVER replied to Gabe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
DONT STOP BELIEVING!!!! Can't believe the Rockets won so big! Guess the Lakers thought they had it in the bag with Yao Ming out. WOW!!! If the Rockets do win this thing... I can't think of one time a team won without their top two "stars" not in the game. Just goes to show you what believing can do! -
Say It Ain't So Joe The Plumber!!
PURPLE 4EVER replied to BLUEDOVE3's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
This thread is comical... Hey bluedove... Want to be just like Obama... Why don't you go listen to his endeared reverand. I am sure you would be saying amen to all his anti American sermons. If any of you don't think Joe the Plummer was ransacked by the american media and even the Democratic Ohio political system you are drinking a six pack of kool-aid on the hour every hour. -
WOW!!! Didn't think it would be that lopsided. The process of rebuilding ancient schools will only increase over time. Next time I would just focus on the school buildings instead of athletic facilities.

The fave 5 commercials featuring Barkley were CLASSIC! He does add humor and very good insight to a postgame show. Ashame he has made some bad choices, but I do like the man.

Any long time PN-G fan has to confess the worst loss (maybe in PN-G history) was losing to Nederland in 1984. As a senior that year, that was the first time in MY LIFE that the Bulldogs overcame YEARS AND YEARS of adversity and FINALLY came through and beat the Indians. It was horrible being on the sidelines watching us lose, but deep down I knew how great it must have felt on the other side to FINALLY get the gorilla off their back. What a historical night that was back in 1984.

On a public servant salary, don't think that will enough $$$$ to even buy one light bulb on the jumbotron. What an honor it would be to have ALWAYS BELIEVE in big words along the bottom of the score board.
-
We may be currently in the largest recession the country has felt since the 1930's, but the SETX area has really been blessed to pass up the recession (so far). Our house values have fared better than probably any other part of the country. Hopefully Nederland will do what is right and vote FOR THE KIDS and not the pocket books. As previously stated, sooner or later a new bond will be neeeded, the longer you put it off, it will just cost more to do the same thing. GOOD LUCK IN NEDERLAND ON SATURDAY!
-
IMO.... A jumbotron at a highschool facility is just not necessary (unless it comes from a sponsor(s) and doesn't involve ANY public tax money). I would much rather have a scoreboard that had extra fields for stats, such as first downs, total yardage, etc... Having a ticker message system would also be nice so you could scroll across sponsors and information. Of course... AS previously mentioned... The most important element of a scoreboard is for at the end of the game to have the home team with a whole bunch of points and the visting team burn out the bulbs used to create 00 In my life I would never have thought Bronco Stadium would be redone to what it looks like now. When I moved here 1992, they were taking out the small dirt track. How much things have changed since then. Bronco Stadium is now one of the finest facilities between Houston and Beaumont. Also... are there any plans on redoing the signs that contained the information about the district championships and playoff winnings from the past? I thought that had a nice impact on the east side of the stadium.

PN-G Pep Rally/Pics Being Posted!!
PURPLE 4EVER replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
A GREAT YEAR TO BE A SENIOR AT PN-G.... OPENNING THE YEAR WITH FIVE STRAIGHT HOME GAMES!!!! Might hear Cherokee ringing all the way over here on the other side of the Trinity River. GOOD LUCK PN-G!!! -
Surprised the announce called Tiger a loser three times... All done in fun, and Tiger handled it well. Makes my impression of Tiger all the better, a man that can do an interview like that is a class act. On the tournament... Talk about some tough finishing holes... The winner boggies the 17th and 18th holes and still wins!!!!

3 way scrimmage - Dayton, WOS, and ??PNG??
PURPLE 4EVER replied to bronco1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
With what Dayton brings back on defense next year... Dayton just might very well have the #1 defense in SETX. Lots of speed and size. -
Dayton and Nederland offense looks like pop warner
PURPLE 4EVER replied to texans's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Don't forget... PN-G won't have any athlete near the talent level of AJ Dugat. Dayton has just been really blessed with year after year of talent that is drastically improved from junior high on up. -
Just curious... Any Dayton posters now of plans for a new scoreboard for Bronco Stadium, or are we going to keep the one that was put up after IKE?

If the QB can't throw consistently, the defense will just defend the run, having a better chance to stop the offense. The spread is based on throw first, run second. If the QB can throw good, the running lanes open up.
