In the Friday night games Dayton crushed Elgin with an unbelievable 3rd quarter performance while Crosby was leading Brenham at halftime, but couldn't get any 2nd half points. Saturday the Bulldogs and Jaguars compete. So far Toups Graphics is 100% correct on his predictions. ELGIN VS DAYTON FRIDAY 7:30 DAYTON, BRONCO STADIUM TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION DAYTON 48 ELGIN 14 **************** THE RESULT ************ DAYTON 42 ELGIN 14 Going into halftime the Wild Cats had to be feeling great. They had the Bronco offense stymied and managed two touchdowns to have a tie at 14 to 14. Then the Bronco's had a "little chat" at halftime with their head coach. The result was an unbelievably impressive 3rd quarter. In a mere 9 minutes Dayton put up 21 points on the board and ran away with the game. After kicking off to the Wild Cats, Elgin fumbled the ball on the first play, two plays later Cody ran in it for a touchdown and the rout was on. The Broncos defense totally shut down the Wild Cats while the Dayton offense scored at will. The Broncos were crushing the competition all over the field, even your humble camera man got trucked. Toups Graphics survives to live another day. A great 3rd quarter performance almost results in a perfect prediction. Next up for the Broncos will be the winner of the Terry vs Sharpstown game. After sufferring losses to Lumberton and Livingston the Bulldogs came back to beat a talented and quick CE King team. The Bulldogs magical playoff run will continue on Saturday afternoon in Conroe. The Bulldogs score over 30 points and the defense plays good enough to give the Bulldogs a cushion going into the fourth quarter. Magnolia scores at the end of the game to pull close but an onside kick will be recovered by the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs fans will be cheering while the clock winds down in Conroe. what a third quarter. probably daytons best quarter of the season. it was shock and awe bronco style. even the camera man got trucked. anyone wondering.... I am ok. wish I wouldn't have hit pause before I got lambasted. while I was leaving I heard we hav arranged to play at conroe against the winner of the terry game. what a great 3rd quarter for the broncos. if we put 4 quarters together like that we will be tough to beat.

If...... Crosby wins their next two games AND..... Then beats Dayton in the rematch... I will personally go to Crosby High School on the semi final pep rally and eat 1/2 a baked crows breast. The wager is set... Can the Cougars deliver????? Only time will tell...

IMO... With the course load increasing to 4by4 (4 math, science, english, social studies) this is a good thing. The sophomores and those below will really be feeling this in their senior year. Many of us remember only having to pass English IV and Government our seniors years to graduate, now these kids will be facing a lot more stringent classes in their senior years. Will be interesting to see if the drop out rate escalates because of this. It is really sad when you look at how many students are in your district's 8th grade classes and how many actually graduate. The high school curriculum is all about college prep now and many of the kids (especially in rural districts) will be left behind with this change. If you have a child below 10th grade you will be expreriencing the course requirement changes when your child is a junior and senior. Those two years will be a load on the kids.

After this weekend, this thread will not be a possibility (at least until basketball season).

The Broncos had eight possessions in the game and needed all six touchdowns to terminate the Lions season. The Broncos haven't punted hardly at all over the last half dozen games and look for that trend to continue. The Broncos offense will continue to score at will and look for the defense to turn it up a notch and shut down Elgin Wild Cats. Loosing the coin toss should have been a huge omen for the Elgin head coach. I-45 in Conroe is totally ripped to shreads due to construction. I would avoid going into Houston then travelling north on I-45 into Conroe, (the traffic might be backed up on I-45 due to the construction). Best bet is to stay on 105. There are many ways to get to 105, but you can travel up to Beaumont, past Parkdale, and 105 is the next exit, or... You can travel west on HWY 365, it turns into HWY 326 which meets up with 105 in Sour Lake. When you get to Conroe on HWY 105 turn right on Loop 336, go under I-45 and stay on the loop until you get to Longmire Road then turn left. Crossing I-45 at the Loop rather than HWY 105 is MUCH BETTER due to the construction at 105 and I-45. Check out my webpage at.... Hard to see on the video, but the Livingston defender looked to have a hand on the ball to knock it down, AJ jumped up, and using his hands, caught the ball in front of the Livingston defenders hand then pulled it in. A Livingston stop on this play might have put the Lions on top, GREAT CATCH AJ!!! Also check out TD 2 Cody GUNS the pass into #2 past two diving Livingston defenders. Cool pictures.... This pass and run set up the 2nd Bronco touchdown. Cody is still improving game to game, an offensive machine, now more of a threat to run than throw. How to stop him and his offensive weapons will make the next five defensive coordinators lose many nights of sleep. Cameron is turning into an effective running back, and will punish defenses that are keying in on AJ too much. Down field blocking was a key on many long runs by the Bronco offense. THIS WEEKS TOUPS GRAPHICS RESULTS Who would have thought the mighty L-Train getting derailed by a third place team, the Bulldogs getting a kick off return and a 90 plus yard run to propel them to a 1 point victory, and the mighty Jaguar defense posting a very impressive bidistrict shutout! On top of all this, the Livingston Lions give the Broncos all they could handle. A horrible week in predicting this week from Toups Graphics, only one out of four games correctly predicted. Finally 19-4A teams advance past the first round in over three years. The Cougars and Broncos victories result in a 2 and 2 split with 20-4A.
