Lumberton vs. Nederland Predictions?
PURPLE 4EVER replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
This game is HUGE for Lumberton. Not to win "A SHARE" of the district chamionship but to also get the #1 seeding. If the Raiders don't win, the people in Lumberton will be hearing a low rumbling thunder all week, it will be the sound of a massive Bronco stampede that will totally obliiterate the L-Train. Although I am a die hard PN-G grad, this week (and for this week only) GO BULLDOGS! You have 5,000 Bulldog fans over here in Dayton! -
who will 20-4a face in first round of playoffs

Scenario 1 Lumberton beats Nederland Then.... Lumberton plays Crosby Livingston plays Dayton Central plays North Forest Nederland plays CE King Scenario 2 Nederland beats Lumberton AND... Livingston beats Vidor Livingston plays Crosby Lumberton plays Dayton Central plays North Forest Nederland plays CE King Of the 19-4A teams.... Crosby - PN-G beat this team, whoever gets paired with Crosby wins by at least two touchdowns. North Forest - Runs the veer, and very well. Has size and speed at the playmaker position. Couldn't throw the ball against Dayton, but did have a good defensive scheme which held the Broncos in check for three quarters. I believe they gave Dayton the best competition of any 19-4A team, and for three quarters had Dayton on the ropes. Central will have their hands full. If Central can't stop the dive off the veer, it will be a long night for the Jaguars. CE King - Played Dayton at the wrong time. CE King runs a version of the veer also, but couldn't get the dive working. They did get a couple of plays outside for 5 or more yards and had one long run on a reverse. Defense wasn't that impressive, but they were playing the Broncos who were firing on all cylinders. The CE King - Nederland game will be a toss up. Nederland's defense may not be able to slow down King's running game, but give credit for the Dogs for stopping the Pirates in the 4th quarter. Dayton - Tick Tock Tick Tock Dayton is playing their best ball of the year now. I wouldn't want to be the team paired against Dayton, will be an unpleasant bus trip home. Their opponent might want to bring some basketballs so they can get an early practice in during the 4th quarter while they are playing the reserves due to being down by six or more touchdowns. -
*Dayton vs. C.E. King Updates*/DAYTON ROLLS!!!

I pity the team that gets the Broncos in the first round. The Broncos looked very impressive. Five first half possesions resulted in five touchdowns. The Broncos are really rolling now. -

Not to bad for this weekend, could finish up 75%. CONGRATS TO THE BULLDOGS!! Bronco video highlights will be posted late Saturday afternoon. The results also readable at... [Hidden Content] THIS WEEKS TOUPS GRAPHICS RESULTS Toups Graphics can finish this week at 75% depending on Saturday's outcome with Kingwood Park and Goose Creek Memorial. The Pirates and Indians fail to deliver on Toups Graphics predictions. The Bulldogs were the HUGE winners this week. They sink the Black Pearl and scuttle all the treasure on board. The top four teams in each district are set, but the seedings still can change. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE SENIORS THIS WEEK PLAYING IN THEIR LAST FOOTBALL GAME! ALWAYS BELIEVE! 19-4A TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION NORTH FOREST 21 BARBERS HILL 14 *************************** RESULT ************************* NORTH FOREST 36 BARBERS HILL 15 Barbers Hill is now hearing the sound of dribbling basketballs. The North Forest Bulldogs came into the Hill and delivered big time. Toups Graphics accurately predicts the two TD's scored by the Eagles, but the Bulldog's offense cranked out five touchdowns. The Bulldogs are rolling now and should be a worthy opponent for their 20-4A opponent. Goose Creek Memorial vs Kingwood Park Kingwood Park has yet to score three touchdowns in a district game. Look for that trend to continue as Goose Creek Memorial will emerge out of the cellar and notch their first district win. Memorial wins this game by two touchdowns. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL 28 KINGWOOD PARK 14 *************************** RESULT ************************* GAME PLAYED SATURDAY TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CROSBY 28 GALENA PARK 7 *************************** RESULT ************************* CROSBY 20 GALENA PARK 7 Toups Graphics is only one touchdown away from perfectly predicting this score. The Crosby Cougars are gearing up for the playoffs and take care of the Yellow Jackets. GAME OF THE WEEK TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION DAYTON 42 CE KING 14 *************************** RESULT ************************* DAYTON 46 CE KING 7 CE King is waking up and realizing that it wasn't a bad dream. The Broncos stampede continues. Dayton plays their best game of the year. Five first half possesions for the Bronco offense produces five touchdowns. Dayton is starting to peak just at the right time and should be a force in the Houston region of the state playoffs. 20-4A TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LIVINGSTON 42 CENTRAL 21 *************************** RESULT ************************* LIVINGSTON 29 CENTRAL 19 A great come from behind win for the Lions. The late turnovers by Central didn't materialize, but the Lions roared back and yet another bus trip to Jefferson County nets a victory. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION PN-G 31 OZEN 14 *************************** RESULT ************************* OZEN 37 PN-G 26 What has happened to my Indians. I followed my heart and went with my alma mater and the Indians couldn't pull out the victory. The Indians football season of 2008 will be one to easily forget, except the update of the Reservation. Ozen comes up big and moves up one ladder step in the 20-4A rankings. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LUMBERTON 42 LC-M 7 *************************** RESULT ************************* LUMBERTON 34 LC-M 6 Toups Graphics is one touchdown away from a perfect prediction. The L-Train continues to roll over the competition. Lumberton continues to improve as the playoff nears. GAME OF THE WEEK TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION VIDOR 24 NEDERLAND 21 *************************** RESULT ************************* NEDERLAND 35 VIDOR 23 This was a game for the ages. Vidor scores to pull to 23 to 28, get an onside kick, are driving to score and go ahead, and the Bulldog's defense comes up with a huge 4th down stand. The Bulldogs get their bark back in the toughest of circumstances. Now there are 5,000 Bulldog fans over here in Dayton wishing the Bulldogs the best of luck next week. A Bulldog win over the Raiders will set up the Lumberton vs Dayton rematch. GO BULLDOGS!!! THIS PN-G GRADUATE IS A BULLDOG FAN THIS WEEK ! (just for this week ONLY!) THIS WEEK TOUPS GRAPHICS WAS 5 AND 2 - 71% WITH ONE GAME LEFT TOUPS GRAPHICS 2008 PREDICTION RECORD IS 38 AND 14 (73%) TOUPS GRAPHICS 2007 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 47 AND 15 =76%

Good luck to your Jaguars tonight... Looks like Mike has got them by 1 point. -
Coldest game I have been in (showing my age here), but in 1974, during PN-G's first of four playoff runs. We played Texas City at Stallworth Stadium. As we were going into the stadium a huge blackish blue cloud from the north started coming in. The wind shifted right before the game and did it get cold, howling north wind the whole game with cold pelting rain. Most fans watched the game from the concession area under the stands. Texas City had a chance to win the game at the end, but had to kick a field goal into the north wind, the wind was too much and the kick was short. I was only 8 years old, but boy do I remember that game. For Lamar football fans, in 1983 or 1984 they played SFA there. It poured down during the 2nd quarter and during the half. The drainage pumps went out and the Lamar sideline was flooded with shin to knee deep water. They had to use the water line as the out of bounds as you couldn't see the sideline, it was flooded with muddy water. The head coach was the one before Ray Alborn, he used to coach from the pressbox, but I remember him saying that he couldn't go to the pressbox while the team waded around, so he coached from the sideline. I remember watching the highlights on TV, was funny to see the water that far out onto the field, it went out almost to the hashmarks (so they actually lost 2/3 of the field). Any one else remember that game???

Thanks for sharing... Looks like TXhssn is putting the hatchet to the Bulldogs. Hopefully Lumberton can win one more game and make the rematch a reality -
Come on now, you know what it;s like to stop a train, by the time this district stops L-Town, we'll be in the 3rd round. ;D Or they could run out of steam?? Of the train could be derailed by stampeding Broncos.

AWESOME PIC Future of Bronco FB
PURPLE 4EVER replied to PURPLE 4EVER's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Dayton is very lucky in this regard. We have had the same junior high head coach for years. The assistants have changed, but having the same coach over the junior high for over a decade is huge. He (Coach Wilson) excels in turning Ponies into Broncos! -
History of Livingston Football

Although the score was a blowout last year in the playoffs, I was very impressed with the Livingston team. Lots of size and speed. GOOD LUCK TO THE LIONS FRIDAY! My mojo is telling me yall are going to pull it off! -

PURPLE 4EVER replied to Bobcatfan4life's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Not only that, if Livingston wins out, and Nederland beats Lumberton, Livingston is outright district champs (the only 1 loss team) and Lumberton will be jumping for joy since it gets to play the Bronco team in the 1st round they all know they can beat -

It has for Dayton... This current group of juniors and seniors never lost a game in junior high. Coach Stewart has done an excellent job with the athletes here in Dayton, not just in the high school, but also the junior high. It is simply amazing that the talent level keeps on pouring in. This group of 8th graders has so much speed and size it is an AWEsome thought of thinking how they will fit into the current offensive and defensive schemes used by varsity. -

TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONS!

My 4A Playoff Predictions...
PURPLE 4EVER replied to Bobcatfan4life's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Depends on how the district chooses to seed the teams, but... Out of the top four teams, the two largest enrollments are automatically in Div I. They are seeded as #1 and #2 (if there is a tie, it depends on the district as how this occurs (and if the rule changes (just had to add that)) The two smallest enrollments would be Div II. 19-4A Div I #1 seed would play 20-4A Div I #2 seed and vice versa. The process would be repeated with Div II. So... in 20-4A, CE King and North Forest would be the two schools in the top four that had the largest enrollments, they would be division I, CE King had the better record so they would be #1 seed and play the #2 seed in 20-4A. In 20-4A you got to be thinking the schools that make it DON'T want to get Dayton in the first round. Would be the most difficult of all the pairings. -

I hope so too, I just got a feeling the Livingston team will only get better and better. Seems like they got all the pieces in the right place. GOOD LUCK TO THE JAGUARS! I hope you make my prediction wrong! -
District 19-4A basically is not a strong football district. The last two years not one 19-4A team has won a playoff game. This year Dayton should take out their first round opponent, then maybe one of the other teams might have a chance. Dayton's defense is finally coming around. Galena Park had about 5 big plays and other than that the Bronco Defense shut them down. The Dayton defense that was playing at the end of the season last year was by far one of the best defenses in the entire state. They got torched by Lake Travis, but no team was able to slow them down. If this team approaches the level of defensive play that the Broncos had last year, that is the key to the upcoming playoff run. Dayton shouldn't be facing a passing team during the first three or four rounds. If the defense can shut down the run like they did last year, I don't see a team in the Houston area that will be in Division II being able to outscore one of the best offenses in this region.

Hate to say this for future Dayton Bronco competition, but the talent keeps on coming up through the Dayton junior high. Tuesday night the Dayton 8th grade Ponies beat the previously unbeaten Barbers Hill Eagles. The highlight of the game was a Dayton Pony hurdling a would be Eagle tackler. To see the video click on... [Hidden Content] And click on DAYTON PONY HURDLES TACKLER The picture of the play is below This group of 8th graders might possibly be the BEST group of talented athletes YET that Stewart has had during his tenure at Dayton. There are up to five athletes with break away speed and there is depth and size along the trenches. Can't wait to see these Ponies turn into Broncos over the next few years.

TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONS!

Got a feeling some late Jaguar turnovers will make the score more lopsided than would appear. GOOD LUCK TO THE JAGUARS! It is hard to pick one team over the other, just writing down my "magical mojo" feeling. -
WHO, WHO, WHO.... WHO WILL WIN FRIDAY!!!! My most "educated" "fearless" predictions follow! GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE ATHLETES! There should be some close games this week in both districts. THIS WEEKS TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONS Last week Toups Graphics was perfect in his predictions. Sadly, this week, Yoda, using all his mystical forces would have a tough time getting all eight games correct. Five of the eight games could go either way including North Forest vs Barbers Hill, GC Memorial vs Kingwood Park, Livingston vs Central, PN-G vs Ozen, and Nederland vs Vidor. In 19-4A Dayton and CE King will play for the district championship and Barbers Hill will host North Forest in a game which will probably decide 4th place and the final playoff spot. The real action will be in 20-4A where three of the four games should be barn burners. Toups Graphics picks the Nederland vs Vidor game as the 20-4A game of the week. 19-4A North Forest vs Barbers Hill Barbers Hill is looking to go forward and make the playoffs after missing out last year, unfortunately they are playing a North Forest team that is on a mission. After losing three straight in district to the top three teams, the Bulldogs came back last week big. Look for the Bulldogs offensive and defensive lines to control the game. The Bulldogs end up with over 300 yards of rushing against Barbers Hill and take a solid footing on fourth place. Barbers Hill will try to keep it close and play a full four quarters, but in the end the Bulldogs will be victorious. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION NORTH FOREST 21 BARBERS HILL 14 Goose Creek Memorial vs Kingwood Park Kingwood Park has yet to score three touchdowns in a district game. Look for that trend to continue as Goose Creek Memorial will emerge out of the cellar and notch their first district win. Memorial wins this game by two touchdowns. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION GOOSE CREEK MEMORIAL 28 KINGWOOD PARK 14 Crosby vs Galena Park Crosby got a huge win last week and now needs to seal the deal by beating Galena Park. Galena Park will put up a spirited game, but in the end won't be able to stop the Cougars. The Cougars continue to win and seal up a third place finish in 19-4A. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CROSBY 28 GALENA PARK 7 GAME OF THE WEEK Dayton vs CE King CE King has stomped the competition in 19-4A this year, but unfortunately hasn't faced a team with the overall speed of Dayton. The Broncos are continuing to gel and get better with each game. The Broncos defense comes up big on Friday and stymies the CE King offense while the Dugat / Green offensive explosion continues. Dayton wins this game by at least three touchdowns. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION DAYTON 42 CE KING 14 20-4A Livingston vs Central A great game will be had for the viewing at Zaharias stadium. If Nederland can somehow beat Lumberton in the last week of the season, the winner of this game could end up being undisputed district champs. Livingston continues to improve every week. Livingston just completed the midcounty sweep by outgunning the Bulldogs last Friday and look for the Lions to complete the Beaumont sweep by roaring past the Jaguars this Friday. The Lions win again in a shoot out, but pull away in the 4th quarter. The score won't indicate how close this game was as two fourth quarter turnovers for the Jaguars result in Livingston touchdowns. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LIVINGSTON 42 CENTRAL 21 PN-G vs Ozen How low can the Indians go this season. Last week the Indians played an inspired football game only to lose to first place Lumberton. This week the Indians will get back into the victory column while the Panthers continue to struggle. The Indians play a great game and top the Panthers by at least two touchdowns. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION PN-G 31 OZEN 14 LC-M vs Lumberton Lumberton gets the struggling Bears this week at home. Look for the Raiders reserves to play a huge chunk of this game as the starters take a week off the heal up. The Raiders win big again and the L-Train continues to railroad the competition. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LUMBERTON 42 LC-M 7 GAME OF THE WEEK Nederland vs Vidor This is the must see game in SE Texas this week. No school puts on a Friday Night Lights homecoming experience like the Pirates. This game will be close to an Oakland Raider's home game environment. The stadium will be packed with gold and black on both sides. In the end the Vidor Pirates three yards and a cloud of dust will prevail as they get one long drive after another agains the Bulldogs. The Bulldog's offense never gets a chance to get into a rythm until it is too late. The Bulldog's will mount an impressive 2nd half comeback, but will fall short. There will be celebrations this week in Vidor at the Pirates push the Bulldogs off the Black Pearls plank. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION VIDOR 24 NEDERLAND 21 LAST WEEK TOUPS GRAPHICS WAS 8 AND 0 - 100% TOUPS GRAPHICS 2008 PREDICTION RECORD IS 33 AND 12 (73%) TOUPS GRAPHICS 2007 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 47 AND 15 =76%

It could be there lucky day! They might get paired up with Dayton! -
Palin would be my choice. If a ref were to make a bad call, she would just cross her arms and give him "the look" (the most formidable weapon in a females arsenal of taking on men) If the ref were to try to eye her down, his manhood would shrivel to next to nothing.
