  1. Last week, Toups Graphics NAILED the Nederland score.... Check out the Fearless Prediction thread to see who will win.... GAME OF THE WEEK Nederland vs Central The Jaguars suffered a bitter defeat last week and now are staring at facing the first place Bulldogs. Nederland hasn't won an ourtight district championship in decades. A win Friday at Zaharias Stadium would be a huge step to being crowned champs. This will be a hard fought game in Beaumont. Central can ill afford another loss and the Bulldogs are on a roll. This game will come down to execution which gives the advantage to the Bulldogs. This game will be able to go either way in the fourth quarter, but it will be the Bulldogs who drive down the field in the last minutes of the game to get the go ahead score. The Bulldogs win by a touchdown in Beaumont on Friday. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION NEDERLAND 21 CENTRAL 14
  2. Enjoy the reading.... Can also be read at... [Hidden Content] Toups Graphics Highlights can be found at... [Hidden Content] REGARDLESS OF MY PREDICTIONS.... GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE YOUNG MEN AND THE COACHES THIS WEEK! ALWAYS BELIEVE! THIS WEEKS TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTIONS In 19-4A last week the strong seperated from the pack. Dayton and CE King both became king of the hill, while Kingwood Park and GC Memorial are still searching for their first district win. Crosby, Barbers Hill, and North Forest will duke it out for the remaining two playoff spots. In 20-4A Nederland is on top of the hill, LC-M is in the valley, and everyone else is still in the hunt for the remaining three spots. Toups Graphics was WAY OFF in 20-4A last week, but was correct in three out of the four games in 19-4A. Lets see if he can do better this week...... 19-4A GC Memorial vs Galena Park Galena Park came up big last week and posted a shut out over Kingwood Park. At home this Friday look for Galena Park to dominate the Patriots and start a two game winning streak just like Barbers Hill did against GC Memorial and Kingwood Park. This game won't be close. Galena Park wins going away. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION GALENA PARK 35 GC MEMORIAL 7 Kingwood Park vs CE King This game will be a full speed scrimmage for CE King. Look for CE King to post 21 points in the first quarter and at halftime have at least 35. CE King's 2nd and 3rd string players get to finish off the game. Kingwood Park avoids a shutout with a late 4th quarter score. CE King wins in a run away. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CE KING 56 KINGWOOD PARK 7 Dayton vs Barbers Hill The game everyone living on County Line Road in Old River has been waiting for is finally here. Who will have bragging rights in Old River Baptist Church Sunday morning? This will be the quickest team Barbers Hill has seen over the last two years. Look for the Broncos to dominate this game and not allow the Eagles offense to get into a rythm. The Bronco offense could go over 600 yards. AJ and Cody will once again have stellar games and look for freshmen running back Delasbour to have a big game. The service Sunday Morning at Old River Baptist Church will be about stampeding Broncos bringing deliverance to the Chambers and Liberty county line area. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION DAYTON 56 BARBERS HILL 7 GAME OF THE WEEK North Forest vs Crosby This is a huge game for both teams. Last week Crosby went to Dayton and ended up getting pounded in the woodshed while North Forest got dominated by CE King. Both teams desperately need to get back on track. Having this game on the field turf in Crosby will benefit the speed of North Forest more than Crosby. Look for North Forest to eventually pound the Crosby defensive line into submission and pull away in the 2nd half. North Forest will end up with over 300 yards rushing and the defense will play just good enough to give the Bulldogs the inside track to the playoffs. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION NORTH FOREST 28 CROSBY 21 20-4A Ozen vs Lumberton The Raiders have the L-Train steaming down the tracks at full speed. The Panthers are coming off a huge upset over the Pirates that has given their season a glimmer of hope. That glimmer will be smashed by the muscle of an oncoming locomotive as the L-Train will crush any hopes that the Panthers had. The Raiders dominate this game from the start and pull away in the 2nd half. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LUMBERTON 35 OZEN 14 LC-M vs Livingston Last week Livingston put its stamp on 20-4A as a playoff contender by scalping the tribe at the Reservation. This won't be a pretty game for the Bears in Livingston and it will result in a long, quite bus trip back home. The Lions crush the Bears and move up the ladder in the 20-4A standings. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LIVINGSTON 42 LC-M 0 PN-G vs Vidor PN-G and Vidor are coming off big losses last week. Now the tribe has to travel across the Neches River to battle the Pirates. This will be a game to the bitter end, but look for homefield advantage to take the day. The Indians will be driving in the 4th quarter in a tied game and commit a turnover that the Pirates will turn into a field goal as the seconds tick off the clock. My alma mater goes down but battles to the bitter end as the Pirates scuttle the Indians in the last seconds. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION VIDOR 17 PN-G 14 GAME OF THE WEEK Nederland vs Central The Jaguars suffered a bitter defeat last week and now are staring at facing the first place Bulldogs. 3. Dayton didn't repeat the whoopin, they perfected it... If I were Central... I wouldn't be bringing up past victories. The shoe may be on the other foot after Friday.
  4. why??? it would just make you jealous of how good their QB and receivers are. ;D Plus, you couldn't reinjure our players we got back, or make us drop 12 balls. j/k, I'm sure they've watched it plenty. It's just that not many teams have a passing attack like friendswood. yeah Im sick and tired of ALL YOU DAYTON FANS talking about how good yall are. We will see in the playoffs how quick the broncos get knocked off. Maybe First round to Lumberton or Nederland ;D ;D ;D Why don't you add all the points Dayton scored while they were in 20-4A and all the points their opponents scored in the same games. Might be kind of lopsided. We all know that everyone in 20-4A is just wishing they could get paired up with Dayton in the first round. Especially Lumberton.
  5. The winner of this game is IN the playoffs. From what I have seen from both games with the two teams, if North Forest keeps the errors down they should win.
  6. I was wondering if they were playing any freshmen on varsity... Not saying the talent in the freshmen and 8th grade bunch is all world, but compared to the 10th, 11th, and 12th graders it is MUCH improved. Kind of weird how the talent goes in cycles as earlier posts in this thread mentioned. BH has great tradition and the kids never quit. It is great seeing the kids progress from junior high to high school. Can't wait till the 8th graders pair up this year, I think it is in three more Tuesday's. GOOD LUCK TO THE EAGLES FRIDAY!
  7. I agree, I can't wait... Forecast says 40% chance of rain and overnight low of 56, might not be much passing. The chance of rain is AM. Cold front should come through on Friday morning. The low will happen Saturday at sunrise. Gametime temperature should be in the low 70's high 60's with a norht wind (don't know how strong the wind will be).
  8. So you think 19-4A will sweep 20-4A? I promise that will not happen. I don't see either district getting swept. Dayton "should" take care of their 20-4A opponent. CE King "could" win. Assumming Crosby and North Forest are the other two teams, both those teams probably won't win. I do think 19-4A has a little more on the top of the hill. If one district were to win three of the four, it might be 19-4A this year.
  9. As far as the talent at Barbers Hill goes.... I video all the Dayton home junior high games to create a yearbook DVD for the school. The current Barbers Hill 10th, 11th, and 12th graders were demolished by Dayton when they played in junior high. Barbers Hill has loads of talent in 9th grade and in 8th grade, but it will take time to get to the varsity level. Whether or not you should change up your offensive schemes to match the skill levels you have is one thing, but I do know that the current upperclassmen at Barbers Hill "were" not at the same level that Dayton had when they played in junior high. The game against Dayton might not be pretty this year for the Eagles. Dayton has much more overall speed, but you never know till you play the game. Dayton should win big (by at least 4 or 5 touchdowns) but you never know till the scoreboard clock is at 0:00 in the 4th quarter.
  10. "I wonder how much thought really went into these rankings? How does a one loss Friendswood team that anialated a one loss Dayton team rank three spots below them? How about the fact that Lamar Consolidated with two losses is ranked two spots ahead of a Tx City team that beat them? And ranking anyone in district 20-4A currently ahead of Nederland is ridiculous. Say what you want Lumberton, but right now Nederland is leading this district. If Lumberton had beaten Vidor then I could see it. There is bound to be a couple of other Houston area 4A's that are more deserving than PNG and Crosby at this point in the season!" My thoughts exactly! If I were a coach, and it could be possible, I wouldn't let my players see these polls. Sometimes they just don't make sense.
  11. I have attached the text of the polls below... Haven't compared them to the AP Polls... 13. www.toupsgraphics.com I am a math teacher, I proofread this over and over before I post, but I know there are still grammar errors found. Just trying to make Friday Night Lights a little more entertaining. Maybe it went over my head but I didn't think etbu was questioning the grammar and only wanted to know who does the writing as in, whose predictions are they. Just my opinion... Based on gut feeling, or as they say over here in Dayton.... Toups' Magical Mojo

  15. Enjoy the reading.... Is also posted at.... [Hidden Content] THIS WEEKS TOUPS GRAPHICS PREVIEWS In 19-4A last week the strong seperated from the pack. Toups Graphics was WAY OFF in 20-4A last week, lets see if he can do better this week. This weeks previews..... 19-4A GC Memorial vs Galena Park GC Memorial is still searching for their first win. Galena Park took care of business last week against the other newly formed school (Kingwood Park). Will Galena Park start a winning streak or will there be celebration in the hallways of Memorial High on Monday? Who will win? Check back Thursday for..... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Kingwood Park vs CE King After a huge win last week over North Forest, CE King gets its turn at having a "practice" against the newly formed Kingwood Park. Will the CE King's 3rd string be playing in the 4th quarter, or will Kingwood Park's band start playing Rocky after every 3rd down stop and inspire the football team to their first ever district win? Who will be victorious on Friday? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Dayton vs Barbers Hill The game everyone living on County Line Road in Old River has been waiting for is finally here. Who will have bragging rights in Old River Baptist Church Sunday morning? Will the Eagles extend their winning streak to three games, or will the Eagles offense sync up with the drill team's routine ( 1 2 3 kick 1 2 3 kick ). Will the Eagles soar on Friday or will they be crushed by the thundering herd of Broncos stampeding over the hill resulting in more damage than the storm surge of a hurricane? Who will win? Check back Thursday for..... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION GAME OF THE WEEK North Forest vs Crosby This should be one dandy of a ball game. North Forest almost went into Dayton two weeks ago and gave Dayton their first district loss of the year, then last week had a huge let down against CE King. North Forest now has the two top teams out of the way, and if they can take care of business they have the talent to make the playoffs. Crosby went to Dayton last week and got taken to the woodshed in a massive beating. This game will have a huge impact on the final two playoff spots in 19-4A. Will the Cougars take enough valium to get over their Bronco anxiety and get back to their winning ways, or can the coaches of North Forest get their team up after two big losses? Who will win Friday night in Crosby? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION 20-4A Ozen vs Lumberton The Raiders restarted the L-Train last week with a HUGE win over Central. Ozen upended the very impressive Pirates. Both teams come into this game with huge momentum. Will the L-Trian keep rolling down the tracks at full steam, or will the Panthers start a winning streak and start making noise in the playoff chase? Who will win Friday in Raider Stadium? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LC-M vs Livingston Last week the Lions went into the newly opened Reservation and crashed the Indians party. LC-M got crushed by Nederland at home. Now LC-M has a LOOONNNGGGG bus trip to Livingston. Will the Bears finally awaken in Polk County or will the Lions start edging their way up in the 20-4A standings? Who will win Friday in Livingston? Check back Thursday for...... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION PN-G vs Vidor PN-G is now on a two game lossing streak and last week Vidor got knocked down to earth losing to Ozen. Both teams now have two losses in district play and can ill afford another loss. This is a HUGE game for both teams. The winner still has a ray of hope to be playing in the playoffs while the lose might just be out of the picture. Will the Pirates be able to get the Black Pearl sailing at full mast, or will the Indians be able to go into Vidor and scalp the opposition? Who will win Friday at Vidor? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION GAME OF THE WEEK Nederland vs Central The Bulldogs sit alone at the top of the hill in 20-4A. Coach Neuman has had great success with the Bulldogs, but has never won an outright district championship. This could be his best shot to winning that first championship. The Bulldogs have been playing AWEsome football while last week the Jaguars were stymied by the L-Train. A Bulldog win gives the Jaguars two losses, and one more loss could eliminate them from the playoffs. Will the Bulldogs still be on top of the mountain in 20-4A after Friday night or will the Jaguars get their growl back and upend the Bulldogs creating futher chaos in the 20-4A standings? Who will win Friday at Zaharias Stadium? Check back Thursday for... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION LAST WEEK TOUPS GRAPHICS WAS 4 AND 5 TOUPS GRAPHICS 2008 PREDICTION RECORD IS 19 AND 10 (66%) TOUPS GRAPHICS 2007 PREDICTION RECORD WAS 47 AND 15 =76%
  16. This is a huge game for both teams.... Vidor should be thankful they are playing at home. That could be the difference.
  17. King is undefeated in district and will remain that way until they face the Bronco's. Crosby has lost something from last year and will be lucky to beat BH or North Forest. I think Jake is right on this one... Crosby should be Barbers Hill, but North Forest will be close. Dayton and CE King are the top two. North Forest, Crosby, and Barbers Hill will obviously be fighting for the remaining two spots.
  18. We have seen your predictions, so i feel pretty good about non of that happening ;D ;D Actually... In 19-4A I was correct 75% and for the year, I am close to 70% 20-4A is where the trouble is... Too many teams with same talent levels. The games could go either way. But.... With this one.... The Bronco stampede continues! Good luck to both sides Friday
  19. Looks about right.... WOULDN'T IT BE SWEET TO SEE LUMBERTON VS DAYTON IN ROUND 1! Only thing that might change... If Livingston starts rolling... The Vidor vs Livingston game will be HUGE!
  20. LC-M may have two shut outs in a row. Livingston wins big.
  21. Barbay and Hooks are on top of the pedestal. Neuman from Nederland has taken a team that was bad for decades and has made them a playoff team year in and year out. Being from PN-G, not much of (no where nears) a Bulldog fan, but I know how much Neuman would love to get an outright district championship. BIG GAME FRIDAY for the Bulldogs. Burnett has done something Neuman hasn't, he has gotten his team to the state title game, but in head to head competition, Neuman has the edge. Like to say something about the Dayton coaches. The high school coaches are at EVERY Tuesday Junior High game. They now ALL the junior high players by the time they are in high school. That is really not "doable" in PN-G and Nederland with two junior highs. The junior high coaching staff in Dayton is the tops in the area. They keep on producing kids that get used to winning. It is simply amazing the talent pool that Dayton has been in over the last decade, and they have a stellar group of 8th graders this year (probably the deepest speed wise group of kids since Stewart has been here). Coach Stewart has taken over a program here in Dayton and is developing a tradition of winning that will be here long after he leaves. He has really redone the whole football program over, from 7th to 12th grade and his impact on the young men of Dayton can not be overestimated. Growing up in Port Neches during the 70's was simply amazing. PN-G raises their kids to be Indians and that kind of attitude is now taking hold in Dayton. Dayton is in no man's land between Beaumont and Houston, but if you include Dayton in with the Beaumont schools, Stewart has to be in at least the top 10. ps.... Many of the Dayton fans sure do miss the enthusiastic crowds on the away games. 20-4A is what high school football is all about. It may not have produced a state champion in decades, but the passion the communities have for their schools is not found anywhere else around here.
  22. With what happened last week... In 20-4A, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! No sure winners this week! Every game could go either way. Hopefully I will pick more than one winner this week from 20-4A.
  23. someone said the veer... I was at the game, but honestly don't know enough about different types of offenses to tell. they attempted 1 pass the whole game. they've got a ton of athletes... good running game IMO. It is a veer offense QB runs it pretty close. They have NO passing games. Put 8 people in the box and you should be able to stop them. They do have some big boys on the offensive and defensive lines. Sure did think the score would have been closer, I don't think CE King is that good, but we shall see when they face the Broncos.
  24. Good luck to you! Hey, the first step to accomplishing anything is to believe you can do it! AMEN!!!! MY FIRST CLASSROOM RULE!!!! Regardless of the outcome, NEVER STOP BELIEVING!!! Good luck to both teams, but.... The Barbers Hill kids need to remember the last time they hooked up with AJ and Cody.... It was back when they were in 7th grade.... The clock was running in the 3rd quarter due to the lopsided score with Dayton destroying Barbers Hill. AJ and Cody may very well have combined offensive yardage exceeding 400 yards.
  25. Ever since I moved to Dayton in 1992, I have always wished the Broncos could play the Eagles. This is the wrong year for the Eagles to finally be FORCED to play the Broncos. Word is from the Hill.... The drill team is preparing a new halftime show which will emulate the football teams performance against the Broncos. The drill routine is.... 1 2 3 KICK 1 2 3 KICK 1 2 3 KICK After getting pounded by North Forest's running game, the Dayton coaches made adjustments and SHUT DOWN Crosby. Barbers Hill will be lucky to get 5 first downs against this team. Dayton wins by whatever Coach Stewart wants to post. I think he will be nice and keep the Bronco Stampede below 60 points. Dayton will have 35 points by half and the offense will post over half a thousand yards for the second straight week. Barbers Hill will be lucky to get inside their 20. It will be kind of nice because at the end of the game the Barbers Hill traffic will all be gone.
