  1. I don't know enrollments. Will be interesting to see how this all unfolds, especially if there is a tie breaker in the #4 spot. Seems like that might happen in 20-4A. In 19-4A Crosby, Dayton, North Forest, and CE King are probably the top 4. Who knows in 20-4A, but right now Nederland and Central are in strong positions to be one of the four teams. Any one post the enrollments of the schools in 19 and 20 - 4A, would be helpful
  2. Seems like this early.... Central and Nederland are the top two from 20-4A. The 20-4A teams that play Dayton or North Forest will be tough to beat in the first round.
  3. For those wanting so see some "more" football... I have loaded a lot of videos to [Hidden Content] The latest videos are of the Dayton vs North Forest game. Don't know how the seeding will happen, but who ever is paired up against either of these teams from 20-4A will be facing an uphill battle. North Forest really impressed me. They run a veer and at times were getting over 5 yards a carry. Played a good defensive game also. They finally got some bad breaks and that really turned the tide of the game. It does make me feel grateful for the kids at North Forest. For years it made me sick to see all that talent at Smiley and Forest Brook going to waste due to poor coaching and lack of community support. The community support is still lacking, but boy, do they have an AWEsome coach! GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE TEAMS AND COACHES THIS WEEK, AND.... Enjoy the higlights.
  4. I think you mean "seeding". The districts have no say so in what seed each team will be if the case doesn't require a tiebreaker. The two largest schools will go Div.1 and the two smallest will go Div. 2. How they are seeded will be determined by order of finish in district. Thanks for the grammar correction... There is a reason why I am a math teacher. Odds are in 20-4A there will probably be a tie breaker involved in the third and fourth place "seed". Could be a log jam of three teams involved.
  5. LOTS OF NEW BRONCO VIDEOS AT.... [Hidden Content] ENJOY THE VIDEOS! GO BRONCOS!
  6. Just curious.... Is it up to each individual district how to seat (SEED) the 4 playoff teams... Will the process be (with no ties and no "special meetings") Take the top four teams in the standings. The two largest enrollments go big school in order of standings. The two smallest enrollments go to small school in order of standings. Then.... Will the district pair off by playing the #1 vs the #2 in each category?
  7. This thread has some excellent posts. If you want to see tradition in action... Go to the Reservation this Friday. The Livingston Lions are in for a treat as they stand on the sideline across from the largest home stands in all of east Texas. These young men will never forget the never ending drumming of Cherokee sung by over 8,000 fans. I will be there in heart as the Indians celebrate their newly refinished Reservation. Friday night will be something to see and it will be a game that the kids from both sides will never forget. Friday Night Lights at PN-G, now new and improved. It doesn't get any better than this!

  10. Nederland vs PN-G is what Friday Night Lights is all about. Bar none... The greatest highschool football game year in and year out in this entire part of the state!
  11. At least.... PN-G has won an outright district championship in those years, and has made it to the state finals. Typical Nederland response... They thrive on getting runner up or third place but never king of the hill.
  12. Not in a million years would I want to be a PNG INDIAN! Not even if you stuck a gun to my head. I believe you have been stiffing those refinery fumes way to long Being content on being the 2nd best program is ok. We all know in PN-G who has the best and most fans, the best facility, and the overall better playoff record (by a huge margin).
  13. Rest easy BH fan... You just got to wait for the freshmen and 8th graders to get their crack at varsity. You got two more lean years at BH then things will dramatically improve. Of course, you never know if you get a transfer in that can turn the table, but BH does have excellent athletes up and coming.
  14. How long has it been since png won state? How far has png gone in the playoffs recently? Seems to me that png is alot more like A&M than big ned. It is not a big family. I do not like png. Not because of who they are but more because of the way they act. 1. 1975.... 6 total trips to the finals (went as late as 99) 2. Went to the 2nd round last year and played the eventual state champs to a pretty good game. 3. thats a joke 4. no comment. I have one question for you: How many outright district championships has Nederland won in the Neumann era? Ill hang up and listen. :D :D :D One more thing... Were was Nederland last year as PN-G was playing in the 2nd round of the playoffs giving the eventual state champs a good game....
  15. The gold in the Bulldog uniforms reminds me of a soiled babies diaper. (baby diaper yellow) PURPLE AND WHITE ON A FIELD OF GREEN THE PRETTIES SIGHT YOU HAVE EVER SEEN!
  16. Wow. bitter much? I agree, really bitter. Something must have happened in order for you to be full of so much hate! Hmmmmmmm....... ??? ??? ??? What happened? Well, I think ALL Nederland fans know what happened in the fall of 1984. Nederland snapped the 19 year drought against PN-G. I guess this 1985 graduate suffered so much trauma watching the Bulldogs beat the Indians for the FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE his senior year, he turned Benedict Arnold and switched sides. IMO.... Nederland and PN-G are like comparing A&M and UT. A&M might beat UT evey now and then, like the last couple of years, but what do they do in the big games..... Heck, Nederland even has the same fight song as A&M. Compared to the tradition, # of wins, # of playoff wins, attendance records, no wonder the Bulldogs are filled with envy. At least PN-G has played in the State championship in the last 20 years and doesn't have to go back over a half century to say they won a state championship. In summary... Nederland is a wanna be PN-G. But in the end.... When all is said and done... It is one big family. If Nederland is the last team playing in the playoffs, there will be plenty of PN-G fans in the stands rooting for the Bulldogs, just as there was when PN-G was playing the state game in the dome not too long ago.
  17. Finally!!! Life is returning to normal.... This information and updated scores for 19-4A are at... [Hidden Content] Highlights of Dayton's last two games are at.... [Hidden Content] I am still adding to this, will be more added this afternoon. Check out an UNBELIEVABLE touchdowncatch... [Hidden Content] I will try to edit the catch and put it into slow motion, a one hand grab! Enjoy the PREVIEWS!!! THIS WEEKS TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREVIEWS 20-4A Nederland vs LC-M Nederland is walking tall after silencing the Cherokee out of the Indians in an impressive stomping against their cross railroad track rivalry. LC-M is still hoping they can view at least one of their touchdowns on the jumbotron replay screen. Will the Bulldogs be overconfident and let the Bears awaken from their slumber or will this be a glorified scrimmage as the Bulldog's 3rd string players end up playing in the 4th quarter. Who will win this one? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Livingston vs PN-G The Indian mascot is still trying to find all his feathers after getting chewed up by the Bulldogs last week. Friday will be a night to remember for all Indian fans as the Indians open a new and improved Reservation, easily the best football stadium east of the Trinity. Will the Lions be able to squander the evening with an upset or will the Indian mascot get leg cramps for dancing to a never ending war beat of Cherokee. Who will win Friday at the Reservation? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Vidor vs Ozen One The Pirates are sailing the Black Pearl all across the waters of Sabine Lake and plundering the competition. After a 1 point loss to Central the Pirates came back strong and made the L-Train go over the plank. Ozen is still searching for their first district win and a loss here virtually eliminates them from the playoffs. Can the Panthers get into the win column or will the Pirates add another ship to the Black Pearl and form an armada? Who win this Friday at Zaharias stadium? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION GAME OF THE WEEK Central vs Lumberton The L-Train was chugging along with news they had been picked to go to the region finals by a state wide sport magazines, but the Pirates from Vidor had other plans. Can the Raiders get their L-Train out of the Neches River after being forced over the plank last week in Vidor. Will the Jaguars put a big stamp on district favorite by going 3 and 0? This will be a huge game Friday in Lumberton for the Raiders. A loss here puts the Raiders at 1 and 2 in district and they still have to play Nederland and PN-G. The Raiders need a win big time on Friday, can they give the Jaguars their first district loss, or will a losing streak start? Who will win Friday at Raider Stadium? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION 19-4A Galena Park vs Kingwood Park One of these teams will be out of the cellar and into the district win column after Galena Park makes the trip up BWY 8. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION Barbers Hill vs Goose Creek Memorial Barbers Hill notched their first district win last week and the Eagles want to continue to soar with a win at Stallworth stadium this Thursday. The Patriots might have had this game circled at the beginning of the season for a possible victory. Can the Patriots defeather the Eagles and capture their first ever district win, or will the Eagles start a winning streak? Check back Thursday for.... TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION CE King vs North Forest This is a huge game for both teams. A CE King win keeps them undefeated while the Bulldogs need to bounce back after letting a 2nd half lead against the district favored Broncos go away. TOUPS GRAPHICS FEARLESS PREDICTION GAME OF THE WEEK Crosby vs Dayton It's homecoming week at Dayton. The last few meetings between the HWY 90 rivals have been something that the Cougars are still in therapy for. Have the Cougars completed their 5 Step Recovery process for getting rid of flashbacks of being crushed by their neighbors, and can the Broncos win one for the homecoming queen? Better get to this game early or you may be parking in the Thriftee Parking lot. MIght possibly be the largest crowd ever to watch a highschool football game in Liberty county. 19. this is a huge game for lumberton having two losses this early with png and nederland left will be tough to overcome
  20. Not only that, but while I was still in shock from the one handed TD catch they pulled off that FANTASTIC 2 point conversion!!! All I could say was WOW for about 5 to 10 minutes!!! :o I would LOVE to see the video of both the TD and the conversion! Hey Purple did you get it too? The catch was by #6. One of the greatest catches I have seen. UNBELIEVABLE! The video is on the computer, I have to edit it. I will try my hardest to get it loaded up to hsgametime.com by 10 PM. Looks like Dayton and North Forest stand an excellent chance of knocking out their 20-4A opponent. Will be interesting to see how the playoff matches pair up. 20-4A is really a horse race. Almost every team has a shot of being in the top 4.
  21. Lets see..... Last year.... Dayton was playing with a 3rd string QB and several defensive people out... Lumberton said.... that didn't matter... now the shoe is on the other foot.... CONGRATS VIDOR!!! Wonder if Dave Campell will change those playoff predictions... Picking the top three teams from 20-4A will be REALLY tough! Good luck to ALL the teams! The Broncos will be waiting to play one of the teams. ps.... I wouldn't want to be paired against North Forest. Talk about a QUALITY team! Is North Forest yall district's biggest team (enrollement)? If so, we might have to see them first round. I think of the teams probably making the playoffs in 19-4A, North Forest will probably be in the big school bracket. They run a veer offense and if they can stay ahead they are hard to stop. Didn't have any success throwing the ball. They have some athletes in the play making positions and some size and speed on the o and d lines.
  22. Looked like #8 while I was videoing... What an unbelievable catch! Can't wait to get the video on the computer and get it posted on the internet
  23. Will be posted later today. Hurricane has played havoc with my schedule. Should be able to post highlights later on this afternoon. ALSO... THE FEARLESS PREDICTIONS will be back this week! Way to go Broncos on their HUGE win over North Forest. I got a good feeling that game was for the district championship.
