  1. Consider that is not just football but basketball (boys and girls), baseball , softball , soccer etc. Unless the basketball districts are different. That will eat up a budget fast.
  2. Yep, and that coach is at Vidor now and look where they are..
  3. I agree with that, sorry for lashing out at the team vs the one butthurt fan that can't take it when Ned beats them.
  4. Its real easy to explain. BISD was in $40 million deficit before the BOM took over, due to all of the stealing by the old board members and administrators. So they had to lay off teachers to help close the gap. They are now hiring back more teachers now that they have a $14 mil surplus. So that will help with the overcrowding. Some of the principals have been fired or let go for different reasons. So yes, it is the old admins fault for allowing or participating in all of the theft and cheating not that hard to understand unless you have your BISD blinders on.
  5. Lets see if Ozen can even make it to the third round.
  6. Man, I hope so! Maybe she found employment teaching sign language to the deaf!
  7. lol. give it a rest, its not even March yet!
  8. it happens after a realignment. Ned is playing in PNG for the second straight year. Doesn't matter.
  9. Tough start for Lumberton and Vidor.. 4 district losses probably won't make the playoffs this year.
  10. Reported by channel 12, I haven't seen any confirmation so take that as you will. interesting to see MCM for week 11. [Hidden Content]
  11. Won't happen. The BOM has another year before they have to turn control back over to straighten out the finances.
  12. Lol. I have offered to get you into the "double secret" spring game practice, just let me know. As far as Ned goes , I believe they have 7 coming back on defense and 6 on offense coming back so I don't see a big drop off coming. There will be growing pains for the new QB but Barrow and Neumann always coach them up and they are fine by district. I don't know what they have coming up from the lower ranks maybe someone else can speak to that.
  13. Been hearing that for 5 years too. Hasn't happened yet. Ned has two pretty good running backs coming back in Nguyen and Leleux and doesn't seem to have problems finding a QB or receivers ( although they have two good ones coming back) , so I wouldn't say the cupboard is dry.
  14. Exactly. Seeing as none of the teams on that list have beaten Ned in the last 5 years. PAM will be the wildcard, but I think the Dogs are up to the challenge especially if it comes down to coaching.
  15. Sorry, please continue. Far be it for me to stop someone's fun.
  16. Seems like you had the Dogs in 5th last year too. How did that work out for ya?
  17. Historically, Lumberton doesn't have a winning record against any team in the current 22-5a with the exceptions of Lee and Livingston, so what he said is not a big stretch especially with PAM joining . Livingston being added means Lumberton might be 6th instead of 7th in district next year. Nederland (3-11-0) Port Neches-Groves (1-12-0) Beaumont Central (3-7-1) Beaumont Ozen (4-9-0) Vidor (7-13-0) Baytown Lee (2-0-0) Livingston (12-10-1) PAM (0-0)
  18. So whats going to happen between Central and Ozen? Did they decide the seeds or coin flip?
  19. I believe, ( I could be wrong) that if a student graduates early he or she is able to sign earlier. Not sure about that. I don't think that would stop the schools from pulling a scholarship if they change their mind and decide to go another direction or commit to more players than they have available scholarships. (which is done frequently).
  20. Your are speaking of the old superintendent. Actually about two supers ago now. I agree that the students need safe facilities, but the " Taj Mahal " stadiums and facilities do not equal state championships, its as simple as that.
