1.
has nederland ever won state?
Yes, in 1957.  Made the finals in 56 and 61 I think.  Semi-Finals several times, the last in 2001.
 2. Someone keep an eye out for someone taking notes at Ned practices,  LOL.  ::)
 3.
I have a pretty good comment that I could make right about now, but I'll wait Untill week 2 and week 10... ;)
Oh, come on, lets hear it!
 4.
The story line should be: Big 4A gets schooled by a small 3a. Nederland always talks big but never delivers.
Lol, here we go...
 5.
Lemme guess, WOS 2nd team looked better than Nederland 2nd team?
Its a scrimmage
 6. Sounds like the D picked up where they left off last year.  How did the offense look?  The o-line protect pretty well?  How did White look?
 7.

Nederland ( if they would of considered Beaumont Area teams ) would of been probably #6 on this list...
. . . And they would fall out right after the first game of the season. I think we're going to make it 3-1 against Ned our last four meetings. It was our first game with a first time head coach and no spring ball in Nederland. I think we're going to knock off the 20-4a district champs week one and sweep the bi-district in round one.
Ok...  ::)
 8.
We are 17 days away from the start of the Texas High School Football Season and today is....     Left-Handers' Day Today is Left-Handers’ Day! Every year on August 13, we celebrate the 10% of the population that is left-handed. This day is also an opportunity to raise awareness about the needs of left-handed children. If you are left-handed, you know that living in a world designed for right-handed people can be quite difficult. Opening doors, writing in spiral notebooks, and using a computer mouse can be awkward and frustrating. Studies have shown that left-handedness is often associated with intellectual creativity. Famous left-handers include Michelangelo, Mozart, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Henson, and 8 of our 44 presidents! There are several ways you can celebrate Left-Handers’ Day. If you’re left-handed, declare a “lefty zone” around your personal space, where everything must be done left-handed. If you’re a righty, do something nice for your lefty friends. Buy them a left-handed pen or can-opener to make their lives a little easier!  TODAY IS MY DAY  ;D
Woohoo!!  I finally get a day!
 9. Or come watch Ned scrimmage Dayton next week.  Or, go to W-O and watch Ned scrimmage this week.  :)

Overall, Vidor has beat Nederland 9 times in almost 65 games 2. I don't know when the last time was Vidor beat Nederland at home. (1982 , I think) 3. Nederland hasn't lost a district game at home in almost 3 years.
:-D well maybe it's time.... 2012 Ned 20 Vid 13 2011 Ned 22 Vid 19 2010 Vid  24 Ned 14 2009 Ned 22 Vid 20 2008 Ned 35 Vid 23 recent pattern shows it will be a good game...
I don't doubt it would be a good game.  Ok, back on topic!

I always wondered if you could
where would you build it?
By the high school probably.
I think the guidelines for donations of that type is that if you do something for one of the boys programs you have to do something for the girls programs also...
You could always build a new softball field.

But Ned will be in trouble facing the in the last game because if this will jell it should be by then. So I predict them being 9-1.
By week 10 Ned will be jelled and be going into playoff mode. Also with the better coaching, and winning attitudes, Ned will be very tough for Central in week 10. Probably harder than PAM because they'll have no film on the new Jags, by week 10 Ned will know the in's and out's of Central.
Everything you said could be right, but then again I know Ned has good coaching but so does Central now. With everyone thinking Ned will just have a cake walk to be DC, I don't think so, this will be the game to be at on that night. If we are not playing for a playoff spot that night, you can bet I'll be there. Good luck to Ned as well ;D
No one at Nederland is thinking it will be a cakewalk.  Not in this district.
 15.
What class are they and has anyone around here played them before? How does Vidor come up with these odd preseason games? lol Vidor wins against the mystery team. ;)
Vidor played them last year as well.  Score was 41-0 Vidor.  They are 4A in the district with Friendswood, TC and GCM.
 16.

I got Vidor.  As a Friendswood guy, I cant pick Santa Fe.
How much can you tell us about Santa Fe?? How good are they?? What they have coming back. Stuff like that.
They were 0 fer last year.  The only game that they played close was against Galveston Ball. 21-13.

Everyday was my last day but I kept showing up each day. I know its hot out there and with all the heat related problems we have seen  recently I understand. I dont know how we older guys made it through those practices.
The wife and I were talking about that.  Kids are softer , IMO.  We didn't have a bunch of heat related issues that I can remember. Just toughed it out and drank plenty of water!  If i remember correctly we couldn't even go get water when we wanted, had to wait for the coach to blow the whistle.
don't know bout yall but when I was a kid we were outside all day anyway.. we were already used to the heat.. and drank from the waterhose... I played softball.. we were always practicing and when we weren't we were playing games twice a week. And on Saturdays in the heat of the day.
same here.
