How about building a new stadium next to the actual high school. Nederland would probably spend just as much money with all of the renovations as it would if they started from scratch. They deserve a nice stadium on campus...course they kinda deserve a new campus also!  ;D
I think that has been discussed.  There would have to be improvements made to 18th st and Canal to handle the traffic though.

 5.
Good lord what has this world come to? Elementary schools?? Really??
Thats why its a big rivalry, twocents.
 6. Knock it off. There is no reason for this thread.  >:(

I think you just started a war. But I would love to see a Nederland Pam game. That would definitely be an interesting thread. That's for sure.
I feel like if PNG can summon up enough nerve power to at least scrimmage PAM (both scrimmages in which were very physical) I would think a great program like their fellow Mid-County counterparts would at least play a pre-district game versus them. They used to play TJ when i was younger and TJ was 5A so that excuse is out the window.  ;) It would make for a great rivalry IMO, way better than PAM vs Central or PAM vs Ozen.
You are starting this again?  Nederland was 5A with TJ in the 80s.  And 4A in the 90s.  Maybe they played a couple of years between when Ned moved down and TJ moved down , but that was it.
 8.
Finally a Nederland fan who admits it. Where is Ron when you need him lmao.
Admitted what?
 9. LOL.  Don't start this again, its not even football season yet!

It takes MORE than talent alone to win it all...Coaching plays a HUGE factor in winning big. No one is saying Boutte can't coach.  He has proven himself.
Nobody is questioning Mr. Bouttes ability to coach.  What is being questioned is your suggestion/inference that he is the Messiah and that nobody can compare to him.  You are simply wrong about that.  He would not have had the same degree of success( in terms of titles- which seems to be your only barometer) if he had taken jobs at Dayton and Liberty instead of Lincoln and Ozen.  Also, why is his stint at Kountze never discussed by you?
He was at Kountze from 87-89...He did well there, just had not won state yet in HIS FIRST TWO YEARS OF COACHING, period...Right out of college, mind you...Come on! :o...However, went to Lincoln, went to state, won it all twice and NO ONE ELSE did it after he left...Gamble came out of retirement and went to Austin in 99....ANOTHER great coach...If it were Sutherland, you would be on here talking about what a MAGNIFICENT achievement it was....typical... ::)
I am not questioning that coaching has a lot to do with it, in fact that is the my point.  I am also not saying that English is a better coach.  my point is that Boutte had more to work with from that start at Ozen, and wasn't exactly hurting at Lincoln either, as they had already one 4 or 5 Championships by the time he got there. ( I don't know when he started at Lincoln)  ,  Also quit trying to make this a racial issue.
A racial issue? HOW? :o...Are you saying that starting a BRAND NEW high school is "working with" something? He had what Beaumont ALWAYS had!! and they had not won a title since Hebert in 1982.
I do realize that some of you "old fashioned, SE Texas way" thinkers may want a person of my "persuasion" to be meek and mild, but I'm just not that guy...I know who I am, I know what I am worth, and no one will tell me different. I am at the top of the food chain, as far as my family, career, knowledge, and wealth go, (Praise God) and some "old fashioned, SE Texas thinkers" just cannot get used to that fact. Not my problem... ;)..Now...lets get back on topic!! ;)
You still trying to say you are not making this about race?  After that comment?  Get back on topic.

 15. Let me use an example here, you might think its an apples-to-oranges comparison, but stay with me. For the first 15 or so years after Nederland established a soccer program, they dominated the area setting a National record for consecutive district championships at 15 , I think.  In the last few years , the district has caught up and is much more competitive and Nederland does not win the DC every year.  So had Nederland declined or did the rest of the district improve?  Probably a little of both.
 16. Could it be that Nederland has a great coach now?  Wow, there's a thought!
 17. It will probably take a year.  You have to install a new system, (assuming the new HC wants to),  hire coaches and get to know and evaluate players.  Also need to establish an offseason.  If  BISD wants the coach to do that this year they better hire someone fairly quick.
 18. Nah, competition is good for the district and the area.  Just twisting the Central guys tail a little.
