Beaumont Central (13) 1989, 90, 91, 92, 95, 99, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010 Nederland (34) 1937, 39, 42, 44, 45, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 61, 63, 64, 65, 88, 93, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011,2012
 5. The 1995 one should be in Central's column by the way.  I fixed in the first table post.

 7. my comment was for the last 20 years.  This is what I could find for that.  I highlighted the times that Central went farther, and as far as dominating us, it looks like the series is tied from what I could find, and there have been blowouts on both sides.

 14. keep telling yourself that, you might actually start to believe it.  ::)
 15. Nederland '92  - if it wasn't obvious.  8)
 16. They gave up more points than the 2012 team did, and probably more yardage.  Yeah, the Lincoln game was ugly, i think we were looking ahead instead of concentrating on the team in front of us.
 17.
Nederland in 2012, and probably 2000
Adding to that , the only teams Ned gave up more than 21 points to were Angleton and Georgetown, two teams that advanced at least to the third round of the playoffs.  ( For people in SC that is the round after round 2).
La Porte has less than 2200 kids. Try again.  SC is fun to watch. So is Manvel. And didn't Vidor hold the mighty Netherland to a few TD's?  And didn't the much touted Nederland defense get run out of the stadium by Georgetown?
If you actually attended the game like several of us on this site did you would have known the mistakes the NED offense made in that game that caused a great deal of good field position change (caused by the great defense of Georgetown: there's that D word again ;))
Exactly.  Ned's D shut them down in the first quarter, and then played poor field position pretty much the rest of the game due to miscues and Georgetown's D.  As far as having to score a bunch of points, we didn't have to until Georgetown because the D shut down the opponent's offense.  Scored enough to win the game though!
Don't think Aledo is too high. Lost last year to Guyer and bring back a junior RB that is almost as good as Gray. If they go Division 2 they'll be the favorites. Division 1, same as last year. 2nd round for the title.
I actually think Cedar Park is the favorite in D2 rather Aledo goes or not. 16 returning starters from a state title team. IMO Cedar Park would have beaten Guyer. WF Ryder is high, Marshall and Dawson are low on the poll. I think Dawson is top 5 when the AP poll comes out though.
I don't think Cedar Park would have beaten Guyer last year, I think they would this upcoming season if they played. I think Aledo is top 10, just not #3. Dawson is just a wee bit overrated, they have they players to win it all its just that they played too sloppy last season and a few of the players would throw tantrums when something didn't go their way. If they can tighten things up next season then I don't think anyone in 4a will be able to stop them.
IDK, Guyer was blown out twice last year while Cedar Park's two 5a losses were to semi-finalist austint westlake and and 3 point loss to abeliene cooper who has one of the most dynamic players in the state in lorenzo joe. i think cedar park is the katy of 4a, they can win d1 or d2 title. no way to ever know but i think cedar park would have gotten them. dawson has the most starters in the district coming back from playoff teams to i think they the favorites to represent region 3 in d1.
shhhhh! your gonna upset demdawgs. ;D
What you talking bout dustoff? SC is the favorites in Region 3 D1, the favorites to get knocked out 1st round again. Them "local world beaters in their own mind from SC" will not get out the 1st round of the playoffs for the foreseeable future (including this yr along with the 2 yrs after re-alignment) ;)
Those 1st and 2nd rounds are just as much about the luck of the draw as skill.  Had Ned or any other team in GT's path got GT 1st ...they're one and done.  Had Vidor lined up with a team like Tomball, Livingston, or a few others, they're onto the 2nd round.  Had Vidor got Ned in the 2nd round, its a toss up.  Vidor played those guys close and anything could happen in a rematch.  Ned could have been gone in round one or two ...but they drew favorable opponents.  SC could have been on to round three had they lined up against Angleton or Ned in the 2nd round. I'm still not sold on the realignment.  It will amaze me to see SC get anywhere near 3,000 kids any time soon.  Just don't see it.  Humble/Atascocita WAS booming, but this has slowed down.  Another big community needs to pop up or some AHS kids will need to get zoned to AHS AND they'll have to actually attend SC.
So beating the 4A #1 team in state was a weak schedule??  BTW, Angelton would have sent you home as well.
