1.
3 & out for Connally again.  Nederland's defense is playing great, but their offense must be horrible.  Nederland ball on their 45
I wouldn't say horrible, but out of sync on the passing game.
 2.
I think each QB has only completed 1 pass each in the 1st half
Sounds like Raines and the receivers are not on the same page.
 3. Stay on topic.  Keep the political stuff in the right forum.
 4.

only players on film that IMO could have went pro out of school are: Marcus Dupree, Earl Campbell and Adrian Peterson.
Back when  Maurice Clarrett challenged the 3 year out of high school rule and won, opening the door for USC WR Mike Williams in 2004 before it was overturned. I remember hearing that Adrian Peterson (a HS senior at the time) was pretty set on entering the draft out of high school before all that got flip flopped. He was a projected Top 10 NFL pick if he entered the draft. After 1900 yards rushing his freshman season at OU, (and all his success since then) he proved that would not have been a mistake. I am a big supporter of the rule that you must wait until 3 years after your graduating class. I hate what it has done to college basketball with one and done players, and even worse when you could go straight out of high school. The NBA game has been affected by this as well.
I think the NCAA needs to change their stance on Basketball players........I think they should have to stay in school 2 years once they sign with a school
I agree.

All Nederland's hopes n dreams are squashed when/if they play Summer Creek. I know many posters don't believe A + B = C predictions, but if Nederland played Dayton close (the game could have been 21-14), then Nederland looks to get blown out by SC. SC needs to beat an excellent Georgetown team, then look out. I can't see SC scared of rematches against BH or Crosby. Nederland looks very beatable. The team that has my eyebrows raised is DAWSON.
You can't win if you can't score, its been WOS's claim to fame under Hooks and Thomson forever. Although Nederland offense is still sputtering, Their defense is not and is as solid as any playoff defense I have seen in person in my 18 years of neglecting my family to watch as many playoff games as possible. Dayton could have very easily been a shutout. A short field due to a very questionable call and one busted play was all that kept Dayton from a shut out. Otherwise, Nederlands offense only let them get close enough for Carranco to miss a long field goal. Defense wins champoinships... brother we got some defense this season. All Nederlands offense typically needs is 10-14 points to win, and they can do that all day long against anyone. Im not saying they will win another game, or win it all. Im just saying this Nederland defense is not going to give away points, you are going to have to earn it and my moneys on them in a low scoring game.
A question: Did Nederland play all starters for the entire Vidor game? Sc was playing second string in most of the fourth quarter against Vidor, and Vidor struggled to move the ball. It took Vidor a while to make their final score against the SC second string.
Don't know, but we held them to a lot less points than you did.
Ok, cool. Has Vidor always had players playing on both sides of the ball? Maybe if Montana had only played offense, he would have been more of a threat.
Yes, as far as I know.  A Vidor poster could answer the question better than I.

 7. Back on topic, this is about Central's QB, this is not about Summer Creek.
 8.
I know they want to keep the grass for the Texans...but that field looked like crud on Sunday..patches of green here and there...you can see the squares and seams.
I was wondering how that was going to work out,  pulling the grass up for turf and then putting it back down the day before a game.  I guess that's the answer.
 9.
I know the 20-4a fans hope it's Crosby. If the 3rd place team from 17-4a beats Ned and Crosby beats the second place team from 17-4a its going to look even worse for 20-4a. Manor just beat Connally the last game of the season for 2nd. Ned definitely has the easiest draw. Just putting the SETX on notice though: If Crosby knocks off Manor you can pencil us in for the regional championship against Texas City/FB Marshall winner. There's a report that one of our 3 year starters at LB broke his foot at the end of the game though, if this is true we just lost a big playmaker on defense which we really couldn't afford against a team that can move it like Manor. I still love our chances though.
How so?  we already beat you head-to-head.  Never mind, that's the reason for your post anyway. :)
 10. I heard previously it was 7pm.  Can someone get a confirmation?
 11.
Haven't heard a time yet.
I have heard 7:00 pm for Nederland.
 12.
Game time 7:00 pm
Good!!  I will be able to listen to the game and tweet updates!
 13.
I am not quite sure why a team from Austin is in our "region" but none the less I think Nederland wins it. I doubt Connally has seen a team with a defense as good as Ned's.
Me either,  redistricting was weirder than usual this time around.
 14.

All you hear on here from the Bronco fan's is about how great they are. I'd be embarrased of the lack of support and turn out by the Bronco faithful at todays game. Was is because of the spanking they received last week by SC? Very poor turn out!!!!
I AGREE..........THINK DA BRONX FANS HAVE BEEN A LITTLE SPOILED OVER THE PAST YEARS SEEIN 20-4A TEAMS IN THE FIRST ROUND ( WE USUALLY CALL IT BYE WEEK) EVERY YEAR. DIDNT WORK OUT TO GOOD THIS YEAR.
Squeaking by PNG last year and Livingston the year before was hardly a bye week.
 15.
WOW......and Silsbee without so many starters......I guess the Yates win really doesn't mean anything
Yates lost to FB Travis.
 16.
Yeah.  The article linked on page one of this thread says he was injured on a late hit in first half and never came back in the game.
No idea.  He really didn't have to come back in that game.
 17.

On a derious note, great season to the broncos. Not sure why the wheels fell off, but yall will bounce back. Settle that QB issue and it will get better. Now, come next year I am warning you now, BH gonna put a REAL spanki on you! Dribble dribble
Wheels fell off because they faced two of the top teams in the state right when they started to peak.
Please, are you serious. We lost to better team today but they hardly one of the top teams in the state.
Dayton was ranked #4 and we all had to hear about it , until you ran into SC and Ned.  We have proved so far that we belong in the top 5.
