1. Did you happen to notice I said both of you?  That was directed at undiscovered for his attack and you for your response.
 2.
No, no, no, let him talk. I want to know which coach is only there for a pay check and doesn't care about the kids or the program. Then I also want to know how he knows this info.
If he does, that will be another HJ thread locked and someone will get a vacation.
There are no ties in new caney tournament. They play it like game called due to darkness.  Revert back to last inning not tied.
ok, got it.  Thanks

 7.
UT would be a great place. It's a beautiful stadium, it's in a nice city, it's the state capital, and whether you like it or not it is the first thing people think of when they hear the words Texas and football. The only downside I can think of is weather as it's not closed in. Also I think indoor stadiums take away from the game of football I would rather the state game be played in a backyard than an indoor stadium personally.
traffic would be more of a nightmare than it already is.

What do you think that Brian English would have done with THAT bunch at Central?
That's a hard question. That's a lot of talent to coach! ;D Don't know if Coach E would implement his style of play/coaching or play a more up tempo style. His record shows that he can do more with less, and suggests that Central would still be playing if he were their coach. I didn't see the game (obviously), so it's hard to say what would have happened in THAT game. He may have done a better job at adjusting (during the game) to the matchup against a team like Georgetown. Sometimes though, the coach can put his players in the right position, but kids gotta execute that plan. What do you think?
I think you hit the nail on the head! In the playoffs its ALL about coaching adjustments and match ups...I know what Coach E can do adjustment wise, and I also know what the Central coach lacks in that area...NOT that Coach Lee is just that terrible, but Coach English is just that much better.  I do understand that this Central team is a very young group, but with that you also must implement another coaching dynamic, and thats taking advantage of the "too young to know any better" factor, and allow them to play loose as well... English HAS done more with less, and I feel that with more he would DO more!  ;)
DV this is an interesting comment. Did you know your dad started 4-5 freshmen on varsity during one of his coaching gigs?  He allowed those freshmen the latitude to screw up but learn from their mistakes, and probably the best contribution he made was to allow those freshmen to play to their strengths. His system matched the players he had, not the system trying to mold the players.
I actually learned that from HIM! He always said that he would always custom build the system to fit the kids and not the other way around..You HAVE to let young teams find their way..I think Central will be very good in due time...They may have been one of the most talented teams in the region this year, but lost early. However wih the right guy at the helm (not that Lee was the "wrong" guy) this team could have done a bit more...I happen to know a coach that took a team that started 3 sophs, and played 6 other sophs, to the state championship game... ::) ::)...Remember that, Dove? ;)
Who is your Dad DV?  I am curious now.  You can PM  me his name if you don't want to put it on the board.
Correction.. Neumann cares about trying to turn young men into quality educated members of society... Something lots of people don't worry about anymore... The proof is in the pudding
Don't shoot the messenger.  My statement was confirmed by a parent/co-worker who just happened to play for Nuemann and current has a son playing for him as well...... (here is where rob chimes in)
Hey don't be acting like we started this. We have kept out mouths shut cuz someone is too scared to be our rival. It was your guys who did this razor.
...or mytwocents chimes in...why would Nederland be scared to be vidors rival...the overall record is EXTREMELY lopsided in Nederland's favor...and Nederland does not "start" talk of a rivalry with vidor...vidor spews hatred and animosity towards Nederland and Nederland just keeps beating vidor.
Look who started the thread man. Come on man. Hatred and animosity?? Really??
The hatred and animosity is coming from Nederland, remember you are the ones who vandalized our school before the game. I am still 100% sure they are better than every team ahead of them besides Kountze.
Since the rankings are not comparing apples to apples, they should be based on the 'eyeball' method rather than wins/losses, IMO. Hard to do when there are so many teams to watch for consideration of the rankings. Nobody has seen Crosby or Humble play more than one game a piece, yet their number of wins place them high in the rankings since they were both 15-1 in district. I guess Crosby is ahead of Humbe bc they won the coin flip for the 1st seed! ;D [b]Humble won at Crosby early in district. Crosby won at Humble late in district, so Crosby is AHEAD by two spots. Also , HJ beat Ned, yet HJ is behind Ned in the rankings. They don't always make sense, but I realize they are just opinions. Kelly will never have a chance to prove they are better than the other schools bc they won't play this year. Again, way too hard to compare apples to oranges. Now that the playoffs are here, everyone has a chance to prove how good they really are! 8)
Crosby finished second because we lost AT Humble by two points and won at home by 12. Looks like y'all proved their point anyway with an 8 point loss to the 3rd place 20-4a team.
Huh?? Loss to a 3rd pl team?? We beat a #1 team by 8 who lost a flip and was seeded 2nd.
Ned finished 3rd in 20-4a but I was talking about why you said Crosby was in front of Humble. We lost in Humble by 2 pts and won at Crosby by 12 pts. Maybe we beat the sense of y'all so bad in football your memory is still bad. I guess you think Ned squeaked by Humble too since y'all only won by 8? I wouldn't call a 9 point win a squeak though. Crosby unfortunately played to their competition instead of winning that on by 15 as they should have, look at PN-G's body of work and you can see they played up to theirs. Like I said before though, good job by the Indians even making it that close.
We beat the 15-1 (28-8) team,  by 8.  You beat a team that was fourth place and was 7-7 and 12-18.
