1. I remember when two-a-day practices were early in the morning and late in the evening ( we would start a couple of hours before dark.)  Other than having them on consecutive days, we were following the rules.  We still had the first week without pads.
 2.

I would say in no particular order: Larry Neumann Dan Hooks Brian Barbay at Coldspring Curtis Barbay at Newton
I am pretty sure the author was asking for current coaches, not past or deceased.
Ok.... So current coaches Larry Neumann Brian Barbay - Coldspring Stump - Bridge City
 3. I would say in no particular order: Larry Neumann Dan Hooks Brian Barbay at Coldspring Curtis Barbay at Newton Stewart at Dayton
 4. #1 MCM - of course.-  This year could possibly be for the DC. #2  Ned vs Angleton- should be a good test to see where we stand early on. #3 Ned vs Crosby - another team that we have had a lot of close games with lately.
 5. One playoff run probably is not going to get you in the rankings. Most of those teams are in and go a couple of rounds deep regularly.
 6.
Shoulnt we be first ? 7. .. And sat at home and watched us go to the third round.  Boy that non-district game really helped your team out!
 8.
Probably when Vidor goes back to the playoffs! ;D
The difference is, Vidor WON their playoff game this year...
emphasis on the word may lol.
Especially with LM and some other teams moving down last realignment, and WOS and Coldspring there now.
 10. ok, but what does that accomplish?  Do you think they will move the large 5A teams into 6A and the smaller 5A teams  will stay 5A after the next realignment and trickle down from there now that they have six classifications? Or this is just something to bring the 6-man teams under the same umbrella?
 11. more watering down of the playoffs. ::) .  The question will be , what will they do with the attendance numbers for 6A and down?
 12. I was able to go to the Ned-WOS game last year.  I was impressed by the improvements Lamar did to the stadium.  A far cry from when we played intermurals there!
 13.
1.Nederland 2.Ozen 3. and 4. will be between Central,Vidor, Livingston,PNG.
Ozen might be able to get the second spot, if their offense continues to put up points like it did last year and the defense makes improvements.  I still say Central is a darkhorse for the 3 or 4 spot.
 14. wow, haven't heard that nick in a long time BaseBow.
 15. How did that work out for you last year?
 16.
Been off on another project for a while....totally disagree with most of you. 1. Vidor.....Pirates return 9 on defense and 5 on offense including Montana Quirante who should have been the Super Gold player of the year. Add coaching to the plus side due to our maturing staff. Also, we play PNG, Nederland, Central and Ozen at the BONEYARD!!! 2. Nederland....beat us on a 4th and 18 play in Nederland with 2:00 to play....not this year. 3. Central....coaching is your issue. 4. PNG....tradition will carry them to the playoffs but will battle with Ozen for this spot.
Home field has not helped you against Ned and PNG much so far.  2 wins vs PNG and 3 wins vs Ned in the last 11 years.
 17. hopefully they have someone else step up
 18. Good luck to Coach Lynch!  A heck of a coach.
 19.

I think Central and Ozen battle it out for the last spot, or possibly for third/fourth spot. If Central improves their offensive schemes and utilize their talent to their potential, they will get the fourth spot.  Ozen will give them a tough fight. Vidor might or might not be a question mark for the playoffs depending on the first few games of district.  They were definitely playing with a lot of emotion after the passing of their teammate, and that carried them into the playoffs.  We will see if they can keep that momentum going, especially if Central improves.  I voted for them to make it. Ned and PNG should be in the playoffs unless something really wild happens.
I see this Central team making a strong push for the 2nd place in district.  Worst case would be 3rd.  I know I offense needs to improve some, but the defense will be nice.  If you recall, the 2008 team hung their hat on defense and had subpar offense and that marched us 4 rounds deep in the playoffs.  Same thing with last year's Nederland team.  Their offense was subpar, but that defense was nasty.  My point being is that in this district, the main thing you have to be able defend well in this district.  We'll be legit in that department this year.
I agree with that.  Although I was happy to see us get away from the spread O for the most part, our passing was spotty at best.  I think the QB is coming back this year and hopefully we will see a bit more passing, especially to the TE.
 20. moving it to the deleted threads.

 22. And watched the Bulldogs continue in the playoffs while you sat at home.
 23. Lets just say this, unless you are replying to a PM,  stick to the person's screen name.

Seems like the only ones making excuses is vidor,  injuries hurt you in the run department, if I ain't mistaken you lost to both of us png and ned. I enjoyed watching y'all play what games I got to see, the defense over there in vidor was tough, they. Made good tackles in the open field and flew to the ball. I haven't seen anyone on here from png say that they were gonna win the title. Everyone knows ned has the target on their back. This paticular png team when they were young wasn't what we fans call spectacular, but I think they have matured and will benefit from bf s offensive scheme, the only thing that keeps me guessing is the defense. I am ready for Friday so I can see for myself! Would love to see some bodies flying to the ball rapping up and letting the wood fly! Soo ready for some football, soulja you gonna come??? Brenhamfan said he may come since the hill sent their coach into early retirement in baseball! Be interesting to get yalls input so I won't be biased in my opinions!
yep, we lost to both of you. both games were a pleasure to watch and you wont here me making excuses. yall made the plays when it counted and we didn't. but that was last year and IF history should repeat itself, i will be here to eat crow. however, it should be a great season, too close too call right now. but Ned has pretty much proclaimed themselves district champs with their BLACK DEATH DEFENSE. if i recall, it was their offense that ultimately beat us and PNG. and like I said, that was last year. I have and always will have respect for both schools but naturally talk smack. AND I EXPECT NOTHING LESS FROM YALL! BH still sux! ;D
Nobody is proclaiming anything.  And you have that a little sideways, it was the Defense that made stops against you  (as you scored less points) and a huge one against PNG to put the game away.
