  1. He just can't stand to see districts that actually work and have a common purpose: the kids. BTW hows that stadium coming in BMT?
  2. I love how people take one small part of a bond and pick it apart and say "I'm not voting for field turf or a new press box." Bull-pucky. The major part of the bond is the schools which we badly need, this is coming from someone who worked in the District and did plenty of climbing around in those schools. If you want your kids to go to school in 60 year buildings with 60 year old mold and mildew , just so you can vote against the field turf, then move somewhere else, [move] I'm backing the bond![/move] [Hidden Content]
  3. My question was when do you think our new High School and new Stadium would be built, not talking about when the press box would be built, when will we sit and watch a football game in a new stadium and when will a brand new high school be completed? Just curious as to your guess on when this would occur. The press box is not a determining factor for me. You might need to read through the entire bond package. It includes several new schools, 3 elementary, C.O. Wilson, and a complete remodel of the high school. The stadium stuff is a drop in the bucket.
  4. looks like there is a separate poll for 1 and 2a. Dont see why the big chip on the shoulder.
  5. nope we have had a couple of them down here already, The Golden Gators were the last ones, back in the 80's I think. None of the teams lasted very long. Look at whats happened to hockey also.
  6. yeah I heard that a bunch while I was still down there. I set the people that said that straight.
  7. Yes, I know. I was speaking in about taxpayers in general and also specifically about PNG taxpayers, especially since they don't have a good history with bonds.
  8. Yeah most of that has been disproved. I wasn't saying that its maintenance free, just cheaper when you factor in fertilizer, mowing, gas, labor costs and maintenance on equipment.
  9. I'm not saying the competition is bad, as long as the taxpayers aren't getting the bad end of it.
  10. Kinda like how PNG had to get a new scoreboard and stadium renovations? The scoreboard wasn't part of the bond issue.
  11. not to mention upkeep. Costs alot less when you don't have to fertilize, water and mow it. Not to mention labor costs.
  12. soulja, i gotta question that you might wonder about too. lastyear us (lumberton) mad it to the 3rd round which is the top 16 teams in state. this year ya'll made the 4th round, which is top 8 i think? we finished ranked 25th. and so did ya'll. how? when we clearly were better than teams ranked higher.. I'm guessing that you are referring to 06 since you went out in the first round this year. Central and Dayton were the teams that made it deep in the playoffs.
  13. Again, a moot point. With the exception of 2 years, we have played WO-S every year since they dropped to 3A. WO-S has not had a drop off. Several of those games were decided by less than 5 points either way. This year we put them back on the schedule, and they are still state-ranked every year. As far as pam goes, except a couple of years when Jamaal Charles played they wouldn't be much competition.
  14. I know, its easier to figure out the standings in district this way (just my opinion).
  15. If you find some decent turf free, let us know.
  16. Lol sfa, whos drinking kool-aid (or something else) Ned played Waller a couple of years ago, when they went to the semis. We have played LaMarque and Brenham , not to mention a few others. Neumann doesn't duck anyone. Who do you want us to play, pa? ;D That would be a challenge. : BTW did LM even make the playoffs last year?
  17. I won't argue with the counseling comment. DV, anytime you have teams like Ned and PNG that outnumber the opposing teams fans, (home or away with the exception of MCM) then you have your answer.
  18. If there is not a thread already, can some update the standings? I will pin the thread.
  19. Nervous, yes, cuz the predictability is gone, zero, zilch, nada, got a new coach that he dont know from a hill of beans and no previous game films to watch go ahead and watch MOJO but i bet our "D" and "O" wont be the same and with what hes got to work with hes got a great year ahead, they are catching on to the new system quick. dang the season cant get here soon enough Gonna be a GREAT year for the Indians! We will have a few games worth of film by the time we play.
  20. I would add to the poor tackling comment not finishing out the play, we had people trapped in the backfield all year and couldn't finish them off!! (poor pursuit)
  21. I merged the three Nederland threads into one. There is no reason to have three seperate threads about one topic.
  22. Nicely played!! Thank you...now what was the question in question?? ;D This is like watching Pirates of the Caribbean... :
  23. Friendswood, quit highjacking the thread. Also, lets not annoit png just yet, district is not over.
  24. From what I have heard , thats not always true. Wo-s fans, is it looking like they are not going to fill the positions?
