  1. Grogan's put on some size this summer!
  2. I would have to disagree on that statement. We had a very talented back last year who couldn't produce do to lack of running lanes provided by the offensive line. We could have had Adrian Peterson as our RB, and we still wouldn't have had a running game. Offensive Line needs to step it up big next year if we hope to even have a chance to make it to the playoffs. To reply to Wise Guy: He was right on about the O-Line, those guys performed lack luster at best for the majority for most of the season! Even the RB weighed more than 2 or 3 of his lineman. The O-line is definitely goin to have to kick it up a knotch this season! Am I the only dog fan that thought our oline did pretty good? How many sack did they give up? Not many..... Would have been nice to have a running back that could have made someone miss, break a tackle? Some of you said that our rb's were bigger than the line, i bet some of the lineman were faster than the rb's. A good running back makes a good offensive line you're right, but they shouldn't give up many sacks in an offense that is based on quick passes... I think the other fans are referring to the dogs' inability to effectively run the ball. I also agree that a good back makes a good o-line but that can go the other way as well... I think they tend to feed off of each other's success. Perhaps you should go back and look at the game film dude! Bass (#11), for the most part, and Breaux (#14), were having to break tackles IN THE BACKFIELD THE ENTIRE SEASON!!! But of course our amazing offensive line wouldn't let that happen, they were too busy not giving up any sacks. Which brings me to remembering Bellow laying in the fetal position at least 3 or 4 times a game! Think before you speak man, just because you know an O-Lineman or are the parent or relative of one or even are one, doesn't excuse then horrendous blocking performance of last year. Plus, Bass was a OF and a pinch runner for the baseball team this year. But athletes with speed and quickness don't normally suit those positions (sarcasm intended!) And one more thing, you probably are the only person who thought the O-line performed admirably last season The dude abides.. Take a pill dude. The o-line had trouble with the run last year, but that not suprising considering thier youth. They will be a year older and from what I have heard a year bigger. We should have a better year this year if the OC will call some run plays.
  3. The school board and super handle reassignments, hiring and firings. Not the AD.
  4. I agree, again up to a point. That defense was much better the first half of the year. They shut down the Phillips kid from Waller, the same kid that ran all over lumberton. I think that starting with the Central game, they were worn out from being on the field so much, due to the offense being unable to move the ball.
  5. I respectfully disagree up to a point. We needed to a least make more attempts to keep the opposing D honest. The last three games all they did was line up in prevent defenses and dare us to try to throw. No surprises for whoever was the D coordinator.
  6. Let's see, if we get another dimension to the offense, if we tackle better and if........ .... we should be in the playoffs. Was that not clear?
  7. Need another dimension on O, otherwise we should be good on offense. Defense needs to tackle better. We should be back in the playoffs this year..
  8. Just a little sensitive hmmm???
  9. Someone had some good sources, I saw a couple of days ago that he was the front-runner.
  10. They better hop to. If we get a wet summer like we had last year, or God forbid the "H" word, the injuns won't be playing in that stadium until '09.
  11. Playing in 19-4a might hurt Daytons intensity, the 20-4a team booted Dayton out of the playoffs several times a few years ago even when they were dominating 19-4a.
  12. didn't make it. Maybe someone else can let us know.
  13. I think Salenga is going to be a RB to watch for the next couple years. He had a pretty good year as a freshman.
  14. You can probably add Coach Hooks to that list too..
  15. I think LM will be okay Coog4eva, we just had to hold on to this guy!! ;D
  16. I thought it was 12-0? I watched the last couple of innings and I am pretty sure of the score... but I could be wrong.
  17. Probably. I don't know what his stance on defense is..
  18. In your dreams... Thompson will retire at WO-S, whether it's in his current position or as the next WO-S HC. It doesn't matter if his name is "floating around" as a successor to Neuman. That rumor mill is barber shop fodder started by people who do not know Coach T. Forget it. It ain't gonna happen. Hey the wos people didn't think he would leave the first time....
