Ok, now who has the weakest schedule?

i believe the original post said who will have the biggest turnaround season. Nederland went to the playoffs last year, so they really can't have a turnaround season. What the original post meant was who wasn't very good last year and will contend in the playoffs this upcoming season?

You might be right. I still think there is alot of room for improvement mainly on defense. The offense will be okay once the line starts clicking. How far we go in the playoffs will be a by-product of the improvements in the D. The orignal post didn't specify if the improvements were overall or in a specific area. Did they?

LOL. I hear this every year . "Ned will be nothing without _ 'insert name here' ." We always seem to locate some. Ned's qb has led the district 4 out of the last 6 years. The defense will be our main focus this year.

LOL , only you could take a football topic and try to make it about basketball. Ozen lost almost 400 kids from the last alignment. That probably didn't help.

Homer pick? Umm yeah. Also , I'm saying this because Ned's defense will be much improved from last year. As far as the offense goes, we'll be okay. ;D The D was at the bottom of the district in yards allowed last year. The will not be there again.

Nederland.

Returning starters are not the only key to improvement. There have been several teams in the last couple of years talking about how many starters they had coming back but were still sub .500 teams.

You think Ned's in trouble every year, so forgive me if I don't believe your "sources". As far as my knowledge, yes we have had large replacements of starters, especially the O-line every couple of years. We have a year where everyone is a 2 year starter on the line and then another when they are all newbies. Not saying that none of them are getting PT, but they weren't starting.

We do it every two years. Still kicking!

For someone who claims to know so much about football you should know better than that. Seems I remember a team that was undefeated since 8th grade... nevermind.

That's true TVC I forgot about that. Nederland businesses are more than 3/4 of the sponserships for the Friday Night Experience. Listen to a game and keep a count of how many are Nederland vs other cities' businesses. That and the fan support is why they cover our games. No one is griping about PNG being on thier station, There are several stations in Beaumont that could cover BISD games, I don't think the sponsorships are being pursued.

Like I said, get some sponsers together and a get station. The fan base is one thing that motivates sponsers, the more people the game reaches, the more exposure for the sponsers. The fan base of your team will have to get behind the show.

Ummm... Let me start by saying that I am all for streaming all the games on the internet, I also have no problem with KLVI covering all of our games also. Look through the list of sponsers for that program, 75-80% of them are Nederland businesses. He doesn't want to lose his bread and butter. I say lets do both. There are people ( especially those of the grey-haired persausion,) that have no idea how to use the internet, much less listen to a stream. They do however along with others listen to games on the radio that they cannot attend. Not everyone is internet savy. There has been this discussion several times, with other teams fans that are not happy that Ned gets thier games covered. The answer is this: get together a group of sponsers and get a radio station to cover your games. There are plenty of other stations around. If you don't have the backing from your fans and community , your not going to get coverage. PNG and Ned have thier own stations, and KOGT covers Orange county teams.

Nederland. We usually outnumber the other teams fans at home and away. Playoffs we have all the fans barking and yelling just for the team warmups!

Overall record of 50-8. I think Ned competes for the title this year.

Let them have their superbowl for a couple of more months 87. They are coming to our house this year, and there has only been one district team that has beat us at home the last four years. I'll give you a hint, the team wasn't from north of Beaumont...
