Bulldog Stadium Update VARSITY FOOTBALL GAME As announced yesterday, due to construction delays and material shortages, the Friday, September 9th varsity football game versus Silsbee will be played at Lamar University Provost Umphrey Stadium. All season tickets, general admission tickets, faculty badges, and gold cards will be honored and accepted at the gate. Gates will open at 5:30pm. Kick-off at 7:00pm. Nederland will be on the Home side. General admission tickets can be purchased online by visiting the Athletics website until Friday, September 9th at 12noon --> [Hidden Content] NHS students can purchase tickets at Nederland High School in person until Friday, September 9th at 12noon.

I watched some film of the previous two games and some he played in Sugarland. When his footwork is good he's accurate and has good arm strength. When its not (which is mostly when rolling out or scrambling ) we have games like last week. If Barrow and the QB coach can get him consistent with his footwork and teach him to not be so quick to leave the pocket the kid has the tools to be a pretty dang good QB. As far as a run threat I think we found one against PA. Still a lot of work to be done but I think they will improve and might surprise some people later in the year.

Phase 2 of upgrades. Phase 1 was the turf (2 years ago), phase 2 is replacing the restrooms, ticket booth and upgrading the stands for ADA compliance. Phase 3 will be a new pressbox but that will be next year. Hopefully they don't start in June.

Yeah, I know. That happens when you wait till almost June to start a project. 🙄

Yep , tough non-district combined with a bunch of new inexperienced players. I do think they took several steps forward in the PAM game, but some steps back in some areas. As long as they continue to move forward and tweak the roster in a few places they will be ok. Now if they HC is hard-headed about some of the roster decisions it could be a long season.

They have a backup plan of LU stadium, the final decision will be made Wednesday. I noticed the construction crews were there Monday working and it looks like we will have a drier week so they might get it done. A couple of the ramps and the handrails need to be installed, I can't really tell where they are at on the interior of the restrooms. And of course cleaning up all of the construction debris.

Nah, more like coaches that need to be flexible with their thinking on some players.

Might need to make some secondary moves as well. They looked lost several times tonight.

Sophs are going to make some of these mistakes. Just need to continue to work on getting them cleaned up. Much better effort and intensity this week.
