  1. Every little bit helped. Thank goodness both proposals passed.
  2. Proposition A ($151.1 Million for Schools) Nederland I.S.D. 100% OF PRECINCTS REPORTING > Yes 2,514 63% No 1,459 37% Proposition B ($4.5 Million for Stadium) Nederland I.S.D. 100% OF PRECINCTS REPORTING > Yes 2,548 64% No 1,417 36%
  3. They had a lot of young players starting last year, and I think the QB this year will be an upgrade. Honestly I am not concerned with WR too much as they always find a couple of good ones. Who is coming back as far as DBs go?
  4. Roads, sewer lines, water lines and schools don't fix themselves. Money doesn't come from the sky. That is what your taxes pay for. It is time to give the students schools that are ready for a 21st century education, not schools that are still stuck in the 1960s.
  5. Good point. It is pretty late in the year to bring in a new coach and expect results the first year. Now year 2 would be the first year to expect a jump in results.
  6. The division numbers are adjusted every two years and almost always go up especially with some of these super schools such as Allen and Katy that have over 5000 kids in the high school alone. Both schools will probably stay 5A for the foreseeable future due to that even with growth. Like I said drive around and open your eyes to the building being done; and not just inside the city limits. The areas zoned to Helena and CO Wilson are where the most growth is and that will continue for some time.
  7. A misconception. Just because the city’s population isn’t showing growth doesn’t mean that the ISD isn’t growing. Nederland ISD extends outside the city limits. Most of the growth has been along Spurlock and in Beauxart Garden. But of course Klein fails to mention that because it doesn’t fit his narrative.
  8. no, but the buildings are. To help the teachers to do their job they need a environment that is conducive to learning, not shoved into overcrowded rooms.
  9. And PNG is going to propose a bond this year to replace them.
  10. Please tell them to vote Yes on May 4th, or early vote starting April 22nd. Thanks.
  11. Sure it will. What do you think a classroom is for?? Having uncrowded, non leaking classrooms and educational areas is exactly what this bond is about. There isn't any "keeping up with the Jones, Nederland's schools are between 40-80 years old because people like you that stick their fingers in their ears and scream "NO" at ANY bond, no matter what was on it.
  12. They passed thier last bond in 2009. There would have been an impact by now, nice try.
  13. i read it. I also don't see any price differences between Ned and PN as far as bushiness go , so whats the impact?
  14. I also see tons of businesses with Yes signs in front of them.
  15. Funny, didn’t see any businesses closing in PN and seeing as Ned is almost the same composition businesses/ vs residential they will be fine.
  16. yes, Nederland is about 50/50 industrial and comercial vs residential. Another fallacy that the No crowd wants you to believe. Also Exxon/Mobil and Chevron have taxable land on the rolls.
  17. Because it’s $30 month. You can try to spin it but it doesn’t change that.
