I don't think many people are saying much because most of the posters on here were players who have moved on. Politics do rule in Liberty that is a fact. Hopefully the new coach can get the young men to believe in the program and in a few years return to the playoffs. Hey you have to start somewhere.

No it's just stupid, 6 years ago there or whenever it was that I first signed on to here there weren't a bunch of ignorant people making outrageous predictions! I'll be the first to admit also that I support the student athletes but not the coaching staff! Every week someone has a new excuse for why the games aren't close. It's very obvious why though.

His stats now 95-133, 1446, 14-2 ... 5 games in which they are 4-1 (lost to the number 3 team in the state which is 4a) and he only threw the ball 10 times in one of those games in which he completed 8 for 170.. Also has a 400 yard game this season. I used to think he wasn't all what he was cracked up to be, but the kid is talented and has grown a lot mentally these last 4 years!

[/quote] Hookem's (game changer/brother/family member) did play the first half.  He was helped off the field at the end of the first half after an interception.  I have not yet heard the diagnosis on the injury, but he did not play the second half.  The sideline for Liberty looks like an infirmary every week.  In my opinion this is due to discipline, poor off season program, and a lack of intensity during practice.  The kids are just not prepared physically for game speed. [/quote] Here is the problem with Liberty's players, they're getting the crap kicked out of them every week.  If they were winning these games, you wouldn't see nearly as many injuries.  Once the going gets tough, Liberty folds up like a cheap tent.  I'm so frustrated by this I can barely see straight.  I have supported this team for the past several years and have seen a great influx of talent come and go under the directions of crappy coaching and even crappier players attitudes.  I am hard on LIberty because they deserve better.  Until their players realize that, they will continue to be a joke.  Most of those kids who are in the "infirmary" are well enough to do whatever they please Saturday.  I've heard from coaches who are frustrated with the players not wanting to get back from injuries.  They want to wear the jersey to the pep rally, but not wear it to battle.  I'm tired of it.  Something has to be done by someone who can.  It needs to happen asap. From what I've seen from experience the overall "dicipline" is down (workout, practice, physical and mental)! I would love to see Josh Sadler come back and take over!  He demands your respect and is someone who gets the best out of his players!

I guess ima have to go watch this game since y'all have now convinced me it will be the game of the year in Texas! (also I was not at the liberty game so my comment earlier comes based on the fact that They should be averaging 20pts a game! If you can't pass then RUN!!! Stewart never had a super strong passing attack but liberty still put up points! And if the kids are down after the first series the coaches need to light a fire in their butts or bench them! That's the time when you need to be hyped up and ready to eat some ones face on d and steam roll someone on O! IMO! Lol)

Lamar Mitchell from Dayton, was my hero when I was younger! LOL (what's he doing now?) I enjoyed watching Jeff Gibbs run the ball in Liberty, super fast, and would break 5-6 tackles, throw in a spin move for another, run 40 yards, juke then fumble.  Would have been something if he held on to the ball better!

That's not an excuse we got our butts whipped! Being bullied wasn't an excuse it was about that's the only time I've seen liberty being soft! Them boys were roughed up and didn't do anything about it! True fact

This went from qb's to softness lol so I'll comment on both! Good luck Hudson! Liberty will be OKAY if they change the offense up! Can't keep the same O as they had when Fitz was running it! I also want to say Daniel has Great mechanics and this may help his college exposure! Now about Liberty being "soft" not all the boys on the team are soft and I couldn't see as a "MAN" how you could even consider faking an injury. That's just not something that you should even be able to contemplate doing. Takes away all your man hood IMO. ...But, Huffman made liberty look scared last year! I'm sorry it's the honest truth, go ask any of the guys who have been going to games for the last 20 years that's all the old folks were talking about in the stands the second half of the game. There were multiple late hits\cheap shots that came out of bounds or after the whistle and there was no retaliation at all! Yeah that's good Sportsmanship but at sometime you have to go toe to toe and deliver a blow back! At least protect your fellow teammates! Fighting on the field is never good but I know in the past 15 years not many teams would "bully" liberty around with out there being some type of retaliation! Some of you will say that, Liberty was a bunch of thugs but like I said you gotta stand up for your self at least make the opponent respect you! That's the only time I would have classified Liberty as "soft"!

Word is Sadler is looking to Coach Football again, personally I believe he should have got the AD job from the start! He, like Coach Stewart, is about work ethnic and you earned his respect by busting your butt and getting the job done. A lot of the mommy's and daddy's wouldn't like him but he would fix a lot of the kids attitudes and thats the type of coach that liberty needs! If something happens to Deel I would like to see him come back to Liberty! Or better yet bring back Stewart and give him a raise 😊

I have a group of guys and we would like to join a mens BASEBALL league, does anyone know of anywhere we could join?

Also in the same boat, got enough people for a team but need to find a league!
