Week 5 pits some decent match-ups, although it's another slow week, aside from an interesting match-up down in Buna between the Cougars and Coldspring. Buna is a tough place to play and they have a decent football team out there this year. Could be interesting. Aside from that, Woodville should take care of Kountze pretty easily and Trinity should beat Warren, but it should be one of Warren's more competitive games of the year. District Standings: 1. Yeah, I'd say it was more competitive than the score indicated. Not sure if I'd say closer though.

The only player that I've seen in Warren this year, who would come over and get playing time in Woodville is that Hadnot kid. He's a sophomore and has the size and speed, just doesn't have anyone decent to run behind.

What are you talking about? Woodville lost two fumbles in this game and had about 6-8 more penalties called than Buna. Woodville played their worst game of the year and still beat Buna by 20. How can you talk about Woodville getting lucky on that 4th down play? Buna had a very similar play, that also involved a very lucky catch. Only difference? Buna didn't score after their lucky catch. I can agree that we weren't 35 ppints better. Buna is a good football team. But the first part of your statement was very far from the truth.

Buna didn't have an offensive score all night. Woodville's defense was the difference in this game.

I agree with your post, but I think his point is valid. It shouldn't be that close at all. Just look at the numbers and common opponents. Since we are the "paper champs", right Ryker? Notice I said "shouldn't" lol anything can happen.
