  2. Crockett 42 Corrigan-Camden 6 Crockett's team speed and defense will be way too much for Corrigan.
  3. The Buna Cougars (4-2)(2-0) travel with their undefeated district record into Woodville to take on the also undefeated, district leading Eagles (6-1)(3-0). Buna is coming off a win over Kountze, 28-13, while Woodville is coming off a huge win over Trinity, 46-0. Buna is coming off of 4 straight wins and has improved exponentially since their opening week blowout loss to Orangefield. Woodville has been impressing as of late and should continue to do so this week. Buna will play hard and probably compete well at times, but I think Woodville is easily at least a three or four score favorite at home. Woodville 56 Buna 14
  4. Yes, we have actually. I honestly don't know why we don't kick it in a those situations.
  5. I said tough, not close lol it shouldn't be close at all. Especially since it's in Woodville.

I think it's safe to say Buna, Coldspring, Kirbyville, and Woodville have sealed the top 4 spots, barring a miracle by Kountze. Coldspring put in a good win over Kirbyville, 33-21. Buna had a win over Kountze, 28-13. Woodville turned in another dominating performance over Trinity, gliding through the Tigers to the tune of 46-0. Week 4 of district play should be eerily similar to the first week of district play. Not many competitive match-ups scheduled as Kirbyville travels to Warren and Coldspring hosts Trinity. Even though it shouldn't be close, expect the Buna Cougars to play Woodville tough, though. At the end of the day though, Woodville should beat Buna and stay undefeated in district play. Game of the Week: Woodville Eagles vs Buna Cougars
  7. Another shutout and another running clock in the second half. It was 39-0 at the half. Great game Eagles! Big game at home against Buna next Friday!
  8. So are Coldspring and Woodville more evenly matched than many thought at first?
  9. I do, because they are. They have alot of talent and alot of speed and Greg Neece is a great coach. Woodville was obviously better, but Kirbyville is still very good.
  10. Woodville (5-1)(2-0) travels to Trinity to take on the Tigers (2-4)(1-1) in a district match. Trinity beat Kountze pretty handily, 33-14. Woodville blew out a very good Kirbyville team, 38-6. Woodville should handle this game pretty easily, moving them to 3-0 in district play and continuing on a straight path to a district championship game against Coldspring-Oakhurst in week 10! Woodville 49 Trinity 0
  11. I can agree with you. They weren't the most quality wins, obviously, but they gave that young team a taste of winning, which contributed to their success this year. We can't discount wins and hard work just because they weren't over the greatest competition. They still made the playoffs, which has nothing to do with the preseason schedule.
  12. I think either way we can all agree that SETX has a wealth of talent at the runningback position.
  13. Calvin Tyler is, in my opinion, clearly the best, but you're right, my knowledge is limited when it comes to bigger schools outside of the immediate SETX area.
  14. I can't even lie...I forgot about Brown. Lol I'm not sure how, after he ran all over us, but somehow I did.
  15. So I may be a little bias. Sue me. Top 10 is probably more realistic though.
  16. He was one that was hard to leave off. WOS has a beast of an offensive line, and I'm not sure he would produce as much with a mediocre offensive line.
  17. The reason Tyler from Silsbee impresses me is because he's running behind a young offensive line at Silsbee, and still producing. He ran for almost 400 yards last week. Granted it was against a new program, but 400 is still 400, no matter who it's on.

  19. I'm not upset about it lol I was just saying. You're right, historically we have stayed around mediocre, with a few good teams in between.
  20. 1. Calvin Tyler, Jr., Silsbee 2. Ty Dennis, Sr., Kirbyville 3. Elijah Hines, Jr., Port Arthur Memorial 4. Cayce Draper, Sr., Bridge City 5. Ivan Lockhart, Sr., Woodville Any thoughts or "corrections"?
  21. Woodville went 7-3 last year lol not sure how this season is a huge surprise. The surprise is that they beat Kirbyville as bad as they did. They also have a runningback who is easily a top-5 back in SETX.
  22. Hitchcock and it honestly shouldn't even be close. Anahuac is improved, but Hitchcock is, in my opinion, an easy second place finisher in this district behind Lamarque.
  23. Liberty will roll in this one. I dobut they give up a score, if I'm being honest.
