I would respond to what I think the troll said, but the grammar was so bad, I'm not 100% sure exactly what he actually said. -

Do you have nothing better to do with your life than get on a message board, without a dog in this fight, and talk down on a coach and group of girls who have worked their butts off to get to where they are? Get a life and grow up a bit man. Good job lady Eagles and great season. -
Parents are a great support system, but the fact is, they are not in any way the mainframe of any athletic program at the highschool level. Yes, they're a major factor, but to say that "there is no program without the parents" is just simply wrong and, although I know you weren't attempting to do this, it seems to put the kids on the back burner.

Malakoff vs Woodville regional semi

Woodville in 2. -
Again, I don't know why he's leaving. My comment did not state any reason for his leaving. It can't be ill-informed, because there was no informing done at all, by anybody. All I know is that he has/is planning to resign from his head baseball coaching position. That's it. I also happen to have a brother who believed in and respected Coach Standley a great deal, so if I came off as rude or disrespectful towards the coach, I am sorry for that. Like I stated, he is a good guy and his heart was in the right place for these kids.

That's all I have to say on that subject. I'd much rather talk about the future of the Woodville baseball program.
-
I never stated that I heard anything. In fact, I said the exact opposite. I said I hadn't heard anything at all. I have no idea why he's leaving. At all. Even if I had heard something, it damn sure wouldn't have come from the "person I know on the school board". That person actually has made an intentional attempt to refrain from telling me things because people have made ignorant comments much like the one you just made. I stated nothing but my opinion on the situation. If you don't like it and really have a big problem with what I said, message me directly and we can have a conversation about it like adults. If you aren't willing to do that, then don't even bother responding to this, because I have nothing left to say to you on this thread. I actually happen to care a lot about what happens to the sports programs at my Alma mater. It matters to me, unlike the majority of people I have gotten to know in the community in my 15 years here.
-
Oh, and I'm sure you're aware of this, but those bunch of kids included 3 seniors. Lol
-
I haven't heard much of anything as to why he is leaving, honestly. I can speculate, but that's about as good as a guess.
-
Nope. Definitely saying good riddance to the guy who spoke multiple times, to the board, parents, and kids, about developing a program, but decided to ditch them after a single year. If someone doesn't want to be here, why would we waste time being disappointed that he's leaving? So...with that said...good riddance and good luck in wherever you go, Coach Stanley. On to the next one!!!
-
Yeaahh....good riddance is all I have to say about the former coach. Good guy and his hearts in the right place, but baseball is still baseball. Oh well. On to the next one.

Did you miss the part where he's taken Woodville softball to at least the regional quarterfinals each of his first three years? Success is success. Baseball and softball are different, yes, but also very similar at the same time. But, of course you know that, Mr. Softball Guru. Lol anyways......GOOD JOB WOODVILLE LADY EAGLES!!
-
That whiner has won a state baseball championship in Jasper and taken Woodville softball to at least the regional quarterfinals in his first three years.....I think we will take him.....unless you can do a better job? In that case, by all means, put in an application and show off your coaching skill. If not, then please refrain from name-calling.

Who are some of the best stadiums in SETX in each respective class? This is my list, although I don't have much knowledge of stadiums in the area. 2A: San Augustine, Wolf Stadium 3A: Woodville, Eagle Stadium 4A: Huffman Hargrave, Falcon Stadium 5A: Port Neches-Groves, The Reservation 6A: Port Arthur Memorial, Memorial Stadium Any other opinions?? Just thought I'd try to start a conversation since the football thread seemed a little dry lately lol

Wow! The only one I had any idea of was Mika to SFA! Can we know where the others are committed to? -
Honestly, I've only met him once, but I will work on that and get back to you with what I can find out. I'll try to get his school email address for you, if that will work?
