1. Woodville started out with Hunter on the mound and he pitched very well. He hasn't been able to turn it on all year until this game. He pitched very well. It just happened to come against one of the best teams In the state lol
2.

But Besides CH I wouldn't say that 22-2a would just overpower 24. Jmo
Haha. You may want to ask WoodvilleEagles#1 about that.
Haha CH and Hemphill(with Twine on the mound) beat any team in 24. CC and Woodville play close with every team and probably come out with a win 80% of the time. Talent level is down in 24. 22 has some solid programs in Hemphill CH and Woodville. And CC is having a very exceptional year with two great pitchers. Those teams alone give 22 the edge. Newton has more talent than people think. They just need more people to care.
3.
I'm gonna favor 22 2A. Hemphill is strong with Twine on the mound (already beat Warren, a top dog in 24). Corrigan will be strong in one game with hooks on the mound, no hit Woodville and they also beat Hemphill. Woodville is a sleeper, they'll sneak up on you though if you aren't careful. They'll hit the ball pretty hard. Woden had a lefty that wasn't bad, but he's injured, so they don't really stand any chance without him. Newton may play a couple 24 bottom feeders close, but will prbly still get beat. SA won't compete period, but they have improved greatly from the first time we played them to the second time. JMO However, I cannot really speak for anyone in 24, so I'm just a biased as the rest of you.
Woodville beat CC 8-2 when hooks pitched against them at Woodville. And even the Smith the other acceptional CC pitcher didn't no hit us.
4. No if Woodville and CC win out there will be a three way tie. Hemphill only has to lose to Woodville to make this happen.
5.
Are you referring to when woodville beat hemphill pretty handily at the regional semifinal? If woodville and corrigan win out wouldn't that make a three way tie?
Hey! Someone knows they're baseball history lol yes. In 07 they eat them out in the semis. Which was the third year in a row that Woodville ousted Hemphill from the playoffs.
6.

Nothing offensive lol chill. Just some friendly words to emphasize why these two teams love to play each other.
Totally no offense taken...just misunderstood your post. My bad as they say!
Oh alright man! But yeah it's always exciting when these two programs meet up.
7. Alex Phillips the sophomore started and was consistently from 78-82. Then The Hayley kid came in and was tossing his fastball anywhere from 83-88. Both had nasty breaking stuff though Hayley had less control than the starter.
8.
That just about puts corrigan in and takes Woodville out. CH guaranteed no worse than tie for first. Will try to lock it up completely Tuesday at home on senior night against Hemphill.
No if Woodville beats hemphill theyll be tied and probably have to play a playoff.
9. Nothing offensive lol chill. Just some friendly words to emphasize why these two teams love to play each other.
10. Well CH is part of 22 and is included in this discussion. Haha
11. Quick question....why is Hemphill on this list? Is this a setx thing?
12. There's still a lot of tension over there in Hemphill because of the routing they took in 05, 06, and 07. Just look on their 07 plaque.
13. Exactly, and in Woodville 8) and I would imagine with both teams aces on the mound. It'll be a great one.
14. Nooooo definitely not. This years CH team is better for a couple reasons. They are solid 1-9 and they're more consistent. And Hemphill was legit back in 08 but they're still good this year. Probably the best team they've had since 08 actually.
15. Yeah you're right about that team. They were good. That was Bunas good year. All the teams in that district are inconsistent. Both have lost to teams and come bak and beat them. They're all decent teams. But if you play the three playoff teams from 22 vs the three from 24 i think you gotta go with 22 all the way.
16. Yeah that district does have a great race going on down there.
17. Woodville is 13-13 overall I think and 5-4 in district. Since Hemphill Got beat last night, they have to beat Hemphill in order to tie with Hemphill for third. I'm guessing there will be a playoff if that happens.
18. Still I'm predicting a NW vs CH game in a couple weeks. Looks like New Waverly will play either Kountze or Hardin right??
19.

No comparison in baseball. 22 got this locked down lol let's compare... Nacogdoches Central Heights vs Warren-- CH 18 Warren 1 Hemphill vs Anahuac-- Hemphill 12 Anahuac 3 Woodville vs Buna-- Woodville 9 Buna 5 Corrigan Camden vs Hardin-- CC 21 Hardin 4 Woden vs Kountze-- Woden 5 Kountze 3 Newton vs Deweyville-- Newton 4 Deweyville 2 San Augustine vs East Chambers-- SA 2 EC 14
CH is really good but other than that eagle fan. Noone in that district is very strong either.
You really have no idea what you're talking about lol CC has two great pitchers. Both better than any pitcher in 24AA. Yes including Price and the kid from Buna. Hemphill has a freshman thatshit eight bombs and has one of the top averages in class 2A. Also throws low to mid eighties and has the stuff to shut down any team in 24AA. Woodville is pretty consistent 1-9 except for the Briers kid who is probably one of the better defensive shortstops in class 2A. Actually started over Warrens shortstop last year when he was in Woodville. Not knockin him but Briers is good. And CH, they can smash 1-9 and have 3 pitchers that can bring it consistently. We will see in the playoffs. Series goes to 22AA, 6-1 All in my assumptions and opinions of course. Comments?
I think the series would be 4-3 in favor of 22-2A. CH, Woodville, Hemphill, and Corrigan Camden are the best teams. After that tho, it falls of tremendously. I believe Newton would not beat Deweyville and Kountze would beat Woden. And sadly SA would get beat as well. But the top 4 teams in 22-2A are better than the 4 in 24-2A. Just my opinion
20. No comparison in baseball. 22 got this locked down lol let's compare... Nacogdoches Central Heights vs Warren-- CH 18 Warren 1 Hemphill vs Anahuac-- Hemphill 12 Anahuac 3 Woodville vs Buna-- Woodville 9 Buna 5 Corrigan Camden vs Hardin-- CC 21 Hardin 4 Woden vs Kountze-- Woden 5 Kountze 3 Newton vs Deweyville-- Newton 4 Deweyville 2 San Augustine vs East Chambers-- SA 2 EC 14 Series goes to 22AA, 6-1 All in my assumptions and opinions of course. Comments?
21. Crockett/New Waverly vs. Central Heights:   This will be one of the most exciting matchups in state on every level. Crockett #4 New Waverly #5 and Central Heights #2......gonna be a great matchup either way. Woodville vs Warren   An old cross-county rivalry being renewed. It's been several years since these teams have competed in baseball. Both teams look pretty even this year. I personally know that the fans in Tyler county have been waiting awhile for this. Any more????
22. Woodville had one bad inning. Much better game than the final indicated. Blake Hunter for the Eagles showed us some stuff we've been waiting for from him all year long. A couple costly errors was the difference in 1 and 7 runs in the third for Woodville.
23.
22-2A game from Woodville at 7:00 p.m.
2 - 2 after 2
24. It doesn't. We all know CH is good. Good? Yes. Great? We will see in the playoffs. Beatable? Oh yes. Lol Woodville will have to play lights out and catch a few breaks but anything can happen in Woodville, Texas during baseball season ;)
25. It has everything to do with being on spring break. Just an off game. And no. This years Woodville team is pretty good when they get it all together. They beat CC earlier in the year. Just had a terrible game. Don't base a team on one game. No matter what the score.
