I know we have a good coach. Obviously. Most people realize that on tier own. You know considering he won the district title lat year and has turned around basketball program here. Obviously he's pretty good if he has outcoached both of those coaches right??

Did you skip over the "last 5 minutes" part? Newton scored twice in the last 4 or 5 minutes to come back on them. So, as I said before, EXCEPT for the last 5 minutes of the game, WOODVILLE outplayed NEWTON.

You also had it set in stone in your mind that CH was 12 points better than Woodville and we see where that went and how that turned out right?? Ok then. You wanna talk raw skill? From what i saw, Woodville dominated the pure athleticism and skill part of the game. CH had one guy that could keep up with most of Woodville. Other than him, Woodville killed that. CH stayed in it because they have a good coach and stuck too their game plan. If CH tries to run with Woodville, they get beat worse. But that coach is way to smart to try to do something like that. CH is one of the toughest environments to play in. And Woodville came in and beat the #21 team in the state in their own place. CH was out-hustled and "outskilled" in this matchup. Anyone who was there neutrally or with their head on straight watching the game and not riding the CH bandwagon that has slowly formed this season could easily see that, at least on that night, Woodville was te better team. It was a great game. No excuses for why they lost. They just got beat. Big deal. Good teams move on too the next game after a loss. I expect it to be just as good if not a better game at Woodville the next time around. I will surely be watching that one. Could easily go the other way.

Look. Nobody wants to make a bet on one of the most unpredictable sports in the world, high school basketball. That would be stupid. Anything can happen. Especially in this district. Yes they did. Good job newton. But for te people that have it set I. Their mind that newton outplayed Woodville that whole, you have no idea what you're talking about. Woodville took it too them the whole game until the last 5 minutes when they made a few costly mistakes.

I might reconsider that bet after next week. Maybe.

Yeah. That's CH student section does their job lol Woodvilles trips too silsbee and pollock central helped with their focus from the crowd. Woodville didn't let it effect them negatively. They let the crowd motivate them. Should be a good game @Woodville too

Exactly. Both teams played great defense. That's why the score was so low. Great game. Very emotional and intense game. I think the crowd at CH got more into it than the players haha

It wasnt a share. EC was the district champ. They beat anahuac. And newton didnt pull away from woodville. They took advantage of a dumb mistake by woodville. IMO wville shouldve won that game. Blew it at the end though.

Not really. Ended up by 5 but wville was up my 15 at one point. Wodens coaching kept them in it. Them elbows almost got them into some trouble though ;) lol and CC or Newton probably wont steal one from wville or CH. itll be SA or woden if they do. But i think that if any team in this district can compete with CH, it is Woodville. But what ive heard from people thatve played both teams is that CH doesnt have an exceptional amount of speed. That they have decent athletes but nothing special.

Youre right. And i think coach fentress is taking good steps to get that taken care of. Theyre definitely moving in the right direction though. And who knows? this senior bunch for woodville beat newton in eighth grade ;) hahahahahaha and thats without lockhart, harrison, and two of teir starting lineman which will be juniors next year. lol obviously that doesnt mean much. But woodville did outplay newton this past year.

Yeah,youre probably right about the 72 points thing. lol. but idk about the margin. i think it will be much closer than that. Both are good teams. Woodville has more speed and better athletes all around. But, at the same time, CH is mre disciplined and its at their place. Its gonna be a good game. Could go either way. But you forget that CH scored 36 on woden last week. Woodville scored 20 over that against woden. But both teams play great defense, so we'll see. Should be a good game. IMO the top two teams in the district. Winner should win the district.

ok. But do you remember them getting beat by warren, or kountze, or hardin, or buna? No. Dont hate on woodville. Anyone who saw the Newton/Woodville game last year knows that Woodville outplayed newton for most of that game. It was a great game with two great teams. Newton slipped by with a win.

Landon Lock at Gonzalez. Old Ricky Lock, the former coach at Woodvilles boy. Think how easily hed demolish the district woodville was in this past year. lol hes a monster. Watched him play a couple times. No linebacker, at least in 1A-3A from this region can compete with him lol

hahaha youre a joke. the only completely ridiculous thing is warren kountze and hardin over woodville and EC. woodville will be one of the top teams in the district. EC wont be as good. But will still be decent. dont be stupid. Use your head.

woodville has already beaten at least two teams in that district. Newton and Hemphill. idk how the wville woden game turned out. But id say woodville has a really good chance at winning it ;)

umm tell me thats not your predictions for next year....if so, then you must not know much about any other team in AA besides newton. Warren and Kountze above two of the top 3 teams in the district?? no. Warren and kountze will be terrible. Kountze lost the only weapons they had and warren never had any. Woodville will, as was said earlier, loaded with talent. Lockhart, probably the best athlete in the district along with albritton, will demolish the defenses in this district. Buna will be decent. Anahuac wont be as good. Hardin will be worse. Newton will be worse. They lost their two top running backs and the only true lineman they had. Let me relook this district: 1. Woodville 2. Anahuac 3. EC 4. Newton 5. Buna 6. Hardin 7. Kountze 8. Warren

This one was odd. Because Anahuac actually had a better record than EC overall. But EC beat Anahuac. Anahuac beat Buna. Buna beat EC. Anahuac and EC finish with same district record. EC beat Anahuac=first tie-breaker. EC is the champ.

Woodville is probably attending a few. Livngston, Dayton, WB, and one other probably. Should be good with 3 state qualifiers coming back ;)
