  1. One thing I can promise you of is, is that I am not "worldly".  I try to go against what the rest of the world does.  A much smarter Man wrote about that.
  2. I was a coach for a while and then went to work for a Fortune 500 company myself and flew in our private jet many times to Mississippi on business trips.  I did that for 2-3 years and decided to get back into coaching after considering a career in medicine as a Physicians Assistant because I wanted to coach my son.  If you want to argue about him I can send videos about him, he is in the 2nd grade and plays with 4th, 5th and 6th graders.
  3. Your right I wasnt. I brought up there names because they are talked on here more than most.  I have seen a few post on Gustofson but not many, most were about Bosha and the article today about Prudhome.  I was seriously just curious.  I had a friend named Jetton that was a white guy and it was the same curiosity when I asked him where his name came from.  He was from south Lousiana.  I have always been interested in last names and geneology.
  4. And I didnt say you were a holes, I said they were wound tight.  If your going to quote, quote it right.
  5. Bullets, I live in the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area of East Texas.
  6. Bullets13, I must have read into that comment the wrong way.  I asked a question and I thought someone would answer it.  When you came back with the other comment I thought you were along the lines of the other.  Sorry if I took it wrong.
  7. Just curious to the names of those two players.  They are talked on here more than most.
  8. Same here sleepy!!!!! LOL!!!!  Would love to here all of your prestigous places of frequence.  You start.  Bet you dont.
  9. I guess I shouldnt have asked it.  There was no hidden agendas behind it.  Was just curious like I said.  I think MOST people understood what I was saying.
  10. My bad, getting them mixed up.  Shows how affluent I am with the Beaumont area.  I knew of both schools just got them wrong.  WestBrook is the team that Lufkin usually scrimmages in football every year if Im right. Still cant believe that they have a rubber floor.
  11. That is an uncommon white name.  Where did you get the last name, meaning from what decent? And I guess you will have to spell out what I am jealous of.  I am very secure with what I have done in my life.  I can guarnatee it is more than most and there is alot more to come.
  12. How can you say that when you dont even know who we are?  Ridiculous.
  13. Bluedove answered the question.  It must be a cajun thing from years ago past down.  Bosha and Prudhome are uncommon black names.  Smith and Jones and Davis' are common white names, I have a white friend with a last name that is very unusual for a white person.  I asked him the same question when I met him.  Only someone  that wanted to start something would bring in something negative to the question.   Lazeek, what would I be jealous about?
  14. WOS is a 5A and playing on a rubber floor?  That is pathetic if true.
  15. It is within UIL rules as long as the coach is not instructing, but during the season I would think Sundays would be a day you would want to take off.  During the offseason, I can see opening the gym on Sunday and playing, but it needs to be at a time where athletes can get family and church time in as well.  JMO
  16. Exactly what I expect from HJ, I ask a simple question and they start in with a bunch of crap.  I was just asking a question, yall need to take a xanax down there.  The name is a different black name than most.  I didnt say they were not good people or anything like that.  Man, yalls a-holes must be wound up tight.
  17. I just got tired of BadSanta getting all the harrassment.  I like to stir the post too.  And yes speechless, I have been on about every texas high school basketball website you can think of.  Silsbee has the edge, we finally cleared that all up and put it to bed.  30 somethin to 40 somethin'.  And 2 All-Americans.  Give me some stats, Im waiting and ready.
  18. Just a curious question.  Why do most most of the black players from HJ have unusual names, like Prudhome and Bosha.  Is it because it is close to Lousiana?  Seriously just a question.  Are alot of the families in that area have similar names?
  19. I had alot more respect for HJ before I came on this site.  I thought they were a great program that basketball schools should try to emulate.  I still think they have a great basketball program.
  20. I wonder how many of us know this much information about our own families?  Sure seems we know alot about the success in athletics at our schools but what about academics and those things.  It seems we are holding a debate for everything against everything school.  Why dont we post stats on who sales the best popcorn?  Or which school has the best colors?  This just seems like we have gotten a little immature with this all.  There are tons of schools out there with success at all kinds of levels that we could post things about.  Both Hj and Silsbee both have good basketball programs or athletic programs.
  21. I havent been to Beaumont in a couple of years but the last time I was not impressed at all.  Very aged and unclean.  There may be a few parts that are nice, but there are always exceptions. Im sorry I hurt your feelings and you had to joust at me with the clueless bit.  Anyone  who has been to Beaumont would agree that it is not a very clean place.  I had friends who lived there and they said the same thing.  Sorry I hurt your feelings, was just stating an opinion.

  23. Im sure the Beaumont does not pay as well, that part of the state has always been very poor.  Just drive through the toen and look how down trodden it looks.  Regardless they will still be able to offer a very competitive salary for basketball coaches because the money comes from the State.  It just depends on how much the school district want to allocate to the basketball coaching position.
  24. Not many people can say they played and coached at the State Tournament.  Definetly very fortunate.  Coach Foster is a heck of a guy as well.
  25. Hj dosent want to get a new gym.  It may be better for the fans, but I can gaurantee it will not be better for the players.  I have seen this first hand. School builds a state of the art complex that holds 2,000 and 300-400 show up and it looks like no one it there.  No home court advantage. Im letting you in on a secret on this one.
