Not true. Ike failed to put Brook away when they had the chance. Brook never realy stopped the short slant and Ike went away from it. Brook hung around and caught fire with key drives and costly turnovers by Ike late in the game. This thing got interesting. Ike's QB is the real deal. Late in the game, he broke like 4 tackles en route to paydirt. But those pesky Bruins answered right back. If only that last 2 point conversion have converted... (I know those so call true bruin fans that left with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter were kicking theirself in the butt : ) ;D ;D I was one of those people that counted the brook out. Good game bruins, I was really pulling for you guys. It wasn't looking good. I heard a few Bruin fans leaving say it would be a miracle fot yall to make the playoffs. I think yall will make it. Something to consider, but it seems extreme to go for it on 4th and long on your 10. ??? in college any thing close to the 40 on either side of the fifthy is good field position. In high school, It's 4 down territory to me. Inside your own 20 or 10 ;D com'on now.

My "boys" are doing about as well as I expected. They handled the 4A competition and can't beat good 5A. How are your boys? Couldn't handle Vidor, but hung on against a quality 2A. Is that what you expected? Ouch!!!!!!! ;D

I'm not sure what you are asking? You think Evadale and Newton can beat Central, head-to head? I believe he is making a reference to what is done in boxing. Pound for pound. I think by our team playing athletic teams in Memorial, West Brook, and Galveston Ball, we should be prepared to expect anything that the Pirates can throw at us. (unless they pull out the 'swinging gate'... ) LMAO! I still see teams occasionally trying that crazy play, but I haven't seen anyone successful in catching the defense off guard in years. If you are referring to me, Yes I am STILL here ,and always will be here.Yea I remember those same jokes, but I remember a few jag fans cracking jokes about Vidor..So naturally I took up for my town just as you would too.If you got anymore questions let me know. It's gonna be a good game I hope. The Jags shouldn't need much to get up for this one. I just wish we had a game in between. Keep the adrenaline churning. Babe will be packed. I thought Da-ville did better than a overall C. I give them a B+. They went toe to toe with WO-s with a chance to win at the end.

I agree LR. 3-4 years ago, if someone came on here and said Lumberton or Vidor (heck, I will even throw 1-A Evadale in here) had a shot at a district championship, they would have been laughed off this board and possibly placed in a straight jacket! It's amazing how the tides have turned... It's history repeating it's self. Vidor's made that circle. They've been here before. Lumberton taste blood and they are believing in their system. Some teams maintain that winning attitude longer than others. It's good for that competitive nature of the game. Good luck to all 20 4A squads. Ex specially my Jags ;D

Good analysis Short, although I only differ with the Special team. The deep punter gotta get the ball to the punter. Special team cost us Friday and could have cause us against PAM. But we got lucky and got the two points. I give em a D

Suggs love to drag his teams through boring slugghish defensive battles. Regaudless of his offensive power he will hold them back b/c of his no star standout phylosophy. they will run him outta galveston,believe me. Or he'll leave in two years. If the jags score they win easily.

I also believe that..Not to take anything from WestBrooks Offense..But They only scored off of turnovers in the Jags Territory..They never drove the Field..The Jaguars D is once again Aggressive and fast and flys to the ball.. The Secondary is the Achilles heal of that Defense..Just Bad Mistakes that hopefully they will correct.. Over 200 yds in Da air.....our young Line missed blocking assigments in the ground game....we settle for field goals twice and tried to run the clock out before the Central missed catch.....which, by the way, IF we count the "IF's" in this game we'll never determine the winner....THIS IS FOOTBALL....you throw the 'what IF's' out and take it on the jaw...14-8 WB...."NEXT!" You ain't hear me say nothing about what ifs... ;D ;D Just the peeps that start playing the game from the missed catch...I'm certain the kid is a sensational athlete, but to put the loss all on one play....Central has tremendously gifted receivers...the backs are awesome....better yet they are a great team....sometimes coaches have to determine what they want to exploit before a game...with district play closing in, you have to think how you can win, but not show too much. Ahhh, the average fan doesn't know that, might as well jump on the thread an fart...it may make more sense. :D This makes plenty since. Last year the 4 round playoff run was way more satisfying than anything. And they did a few things I didnt see during the season. I'm sure the kid catch that play more than he misses it.

Statistically my Jags had a pretty good numbers game against the brook. The brook found away to defeat my Jags. I'm hoping the brook can repeat that kinda performance. Win on the score board
