I wonder, has Vidor had anymore problems with that scoeboard since that game? just wondering fail to see the humor? sorry, pet peeve also i don't know about the scoreboard i do know that it got pretty messed up during rita... not sure about the wiring... also, both coaches agree on the refs, and i was not at that game, but i do believe that vidor gets a bad rep about anything that goes wrong at pirate stadium you dont see all of us on the forums crying about the bogus holding call last year on us in the png game at our stadium that cancelled out a touchdown pass that would have won us the game... no hard feelings, and let the best team win May the best team win

Officials can be just as unfair as law inforcement and other officials. It happens all the time. Refs can determine the outcome of games. There are good and bad officials.

Wow I guess you guys have missed the number of flags we have received this year! Way too many! I guess we are not "paying" the refs enough. no joke we had more penalties than kelly did in that game You Pirate fans can talk penalties all yall want. The matter is there's penalties that determine field positions. Penalties that determine games. I was optomistic when I first started attending Central Vidor games in Vidor. But in the last few years I've seen Vidor refs keep the Pirates in contest we were threatening to end quickly. The last contest I attend was when Brandon Williams pulled out in the end. I left early because of the calls that the refs made to make the game close. Now, I'm taking nothing from the efforts of the Pirates players, because that running back that year had a carrer night on us. But even with his success the game wasn't close until the flags started flying. We were in position to put Vidor away before the Half, and they started flying (fags). The penalties would move us out of scoring position and when Vidor had the ball, into scoring position. I wish there was footage of this game out there. On Vidor's first score The penalties brought Vidor down the field. When Vidor got in our red zone, we'd sack the QB or stop the running back in the back field. The next play would be a penalty against my Jags. This went on for about 15 mins. Until Vidor scored. Now there was no way to tell the time on the field because the clock had mysteriously stopped working previously. The ref that was suppose to be keeping the time wasn't even looking at his watch half the time. Me and a few other Central fans were keeping the time on our watches. We could have went up 21 zip, but penalties flags kept us going backwards. And kept yall going foward. I hope this affair turn out different. If we are beat in a fair honest level game, I'll be the first to say good game Vidor. It is just I've seen serious home field advantages in Vidor. :-[

No doubt...it has always been tough playing in Vidor...they got lucky not having to come to Babe! Game might be a little closer! The last time we played there...the RB's grandfather had the field name after him and the RB had a heck of a game gaining 186yd on the ground! That was the game which Brandon Williams had to lead us down the field with under a minute left for the game winning score. Just thinking about that game makes me shiver! WHOA! It'll be a good one! Cowboy. remember the clock mysteriously stopped working. I promise you they gave Vidor 10 to 15 min on one of those drives inside of our red zone. We kept stopping them, behind the line of scrimmage. The refs kept rewarding them with penalties to put them back in scoring position. I tell you, I didn't think that first half would ever end. I did when They scored. I can't see myself going to V-town to witness another contraversially, lopsided officiated affair with the Pirates. Good Luck to my Jags though. I already feel we've been shafted by not choosing a neutral site. :'( :'( Odds against my Jags. Whistles will surely be against us, mark my word, mark my word.

I saw Coach D a few months ago. He hasn't aged at all. I'd LOVE it if we brought him back to run our Defense.

Boy don't these predictions crack me up. Kids will be kids. It's hard to predict what any of our teams will do when district starts. When Nederland was high on winning disttict a few years ago, we surprised them with a 20-0 spanking. And they were considered a top team then. Lumberton shocked everyone last year, even their Raider faithfuls. I'm sure they were hoping for the best but last year exceeded their expectations, lets be real about it. And who would have concocked a Lumberton upset of Dayton. So I say Lets wait for District starts. The proof will be in the puddin. ;D

After watching my Jags Friday, I must say I do not like our chances against a good running team. Our D-linemen are too few. We line up three on the line. Our Linebackers line up 2 yds behind them. We have no real size on our D-line. That is a problem with that set we'er running. We got absolutely no penertration against the bruins. We need a hole plugger in the middle to disrupt the run. WB ran between our tackles at will. I hope WB was just that good and this week we iron out the kinks from Friday night. I'm begining to lose confidence in this organize chaos thing. I guest Enouch has ruined me with his stingy D's of the pass. I say we bring Enouch back to bolster our defense 8)
