  1. I fell prey of this prediction stuff last season and my jags had a serious setback. I don't think none of us really know how these kids will respond. Who could have told me Derrick Hall would have such a hard time his senior season? I would not have believed it. The way he'd torched dayton the year before. But there's alot of factors that come into play' positives and negatives. Let's just see what happens.
  2. #3 was the fastest kid I've ever saw in silver and maroon
  3. all I have to say is, NS reloads every year. Where do they get them studs?
  4. Laugh now but if Beaumont ever would combine our three schools, it wouldn't be so funny to MC. It would probably make MC happy to remove us from yalls schedule. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Now, why in the world would BISD want to do that? Put all the bad eggs in one basket? It hasn't worked so well for PAISD! Didn't Forest Park benefit from a merger in 82? It would work with proper provision. So, it felled in PA but worked before in BMT.

It hasn't worked so well for PAISD! Why not remove the bad eggs. It would be plenty to spare. And It was a hypothetical response. I Love my Jags just the way we are.

  7. Noticed on the BISD web site that they toured Galena Park, Berry and Fort Bend stadiums. If Galena Park is the model the capacity isn't all that great at around 10,000. PNG's stadium will seat 12,500 and will have a video system and press box that is much better than any of the Houston area stadiums. Hopefully for $33 million BISD will at least match Indian Stadium on features. You must have not seen the Berry Center in CY Fair it will make PNG stadium look like a pee wee stadium.I beleive they spended 82 million on that complex. Oh yea, that is a nice facility, yes indeed!!!
  8. I'm not saying that he's not going to be one of the best, but I saw him a couple of weeks ago (Cardenas).......he's just a little fellow. I was really suprised at how small his stature was. Cardenas is a pure athlete. He'll be alright if he can stay healthy. He stands out during warm ups,and he was impressive to me against LM last year. He's a player to watch this year.
  9. 1 WB 2 Dayton 3 WO-S 4 K-ville 5 Nederland 6 Central 7 Newton 8 Jasper 9 Pn-G 10 PAM
  10. Yea, and I was in Fast Eddie's when the score was flashed on the screen. I was sick I missed that one. I got to see Vince's clinic on Hightower though.
  11. Jasper vs Gilmer at SFA STADIUM. Blow out by Gilmer in first half but incredible comback by Bulldogs in second half. Dogs should have won. It was a awsome game. You could hear a pen drop on Gilmers side. Jasper should have went for the 2 points for the win :'(
  12. This should be a Coach Brooks team that is now in tune. A year of reaquaintance, now the results should show this year. Good luck Dogs
  13. Why put ourselves through this again. Last year I was way off with my expectations of my Jags :-[. We're due a good come back year though
  14. Well I don't know about this year, but last years LA's team was much too much for our team selected last year. They beat the crap outta our kids. I just hope we can compete this year.
  15. yuuupppie! That is good news to my ears. I haven't had time to check out my Jags yet. But I'll be out there soon. Can't wait to see that new Offense.
  16. obcowboy, all those plays are fine if you have the personel to run it. Yea with brandon at the helm, a lotta busted plays looked like boot legs. The kid was rare and it was shut down against other players of his caliber. Brenham did it, LM did it. We need a OC to install a scheme according to our players.
  17. Well put short, well put
  18. The ultimate rivalry was the soul bowl Bulldogs vs Panthers
  19. The Jags have had plenty speed every year. The year my son played with Chad,Choppa and Booker. We punched Lufkin in the mouth on a wet field. But lost by a few point. If Chad had caught that pass in the corner of the endzone we'd have beat the state champs. We were very fast and strong that year. Our problem was our OC (TYNER). And our head coach Dixon for not pulling the plug on TYNER. Our kids bust their butts. They diserve to be put in positions to succeed. Too many times as a fan I've seen clearly my Jags out class the other team with talent but not performance. And too many times its because of whats not being done on the side line and not on the field. I take this serious because I know the importance of these young men succeeding on the field and how that succees will open up doors for their futures. Its not about that coach being succeesful so he could get that larger paycheck in another district. It shouldn't be!! It should be about the kids. Some may say its just a game. I say its a make or break situation for some kids. We need coaches that care enough about these kids to groom a program and stick with that program. At lease groom an assistant to step in and keep that system flowing. We hire outside of our community way too much. we need to hire within. Hire coaches like Jeff Nelson, Kervess Fontneaux , my son, his team mates, players before them. These are people that will stick with these kids and show loyalty to them. And not leave for the money elsewhere. GO JAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring Home the "STATE TROPY" (Oh and Soulja we know your loyalty is not even in question)
  20. Oh no the winning team's parents never complain. And I'm pretty sure if her kid were on the winning end she wouldn't have. I can say this though, I love the way the kids conducts themselves every week. They play the game with passion and understanding that you win and lose. I've yet to see one kid in this League complain. Hats off to em.
  21. A friend of mind is coaching a little dribblers team. He was attacked by a parent after the game Saturday, not physically but verbally. And the most shocking thing to me was it was by a mother of the opposing team. She raved that they kept their star players in the game to long and allowed her son's team no chance to stay in the game. She told my friend that he and the other coaches were unproffesional for cheering on the lopsided 71-39 whipping they'd handed her son's team. My friend's team has played 3 games and they are 1-2. They were up 30 points in the first game but lost by a point. they were up 20 plus in the second game and lost by two. They tried explaining to the lady that this was the only reason they played their star players as long as they did. She still wasn't hearing it and she continued to tear into those two poor coaches. They handled it well, trying to explain to her why they did what they'd did. But she wasn't hearing it. Her kid congratulated the coaches, he handled it alot better than his mother did.
  22. When will it end? They come in both sexes. Now days the women are just as bad as the men. I feel sorry for that coach who plays that less gifted kid too little. And that very gifted kid too much. And the poor Officiating team, gotta be some of the hardest jobs in sports. I know first hand!!!!
  23. Gulley that good Huh? Gotta make time to check this kid out.
  24. way to play Dayton. Bring home that Chamionship trophy. You are repping 22 4a well, like I knew you would. ;D
  25. The kid should be held accountable. Hit his a-- hard. Totally uncalled for!
