Does anyone know the scores to week 4 for the Flag teams. I noticed that on the Stjfl home site their isn't any consistent scores or standings listed. Lumberton R - 7 BMW - 19

Sounds like a S.E.Tx Calvocade experience needs to take place with some who feels their team is the best around. Someone throwout some insurance money and secure some fields for those who love seeing the best against the so call best! It could be lots of fun or arrest! Lol

BMW - 27 Nederland G - 25 Great competitive game by both teams!

Orangefield W - 20 BMW - 20 BMW QB left to get stitches early in the game and was missing another one of its best players this game. The QB is fine but received 6 stitches to his face for bumping into his own player. Great game to both teams!

These are some very strong districts which always have talented players which often draw college attention. Ozen has always been an easy when for most in 22-5a but has a new HC this year who has a lot of experience. It will be interesting to see the development of this very fast and athletic group as they will be brought up in a structured program. As they learn this game and develop their pitching arms we should see a very good product on Tuesday's & Friday's. Let's Go Panthers!

Some people like what they like and he plans to move to Beaumont because the location fits him better. Good family man who has long term plans to build a solid program here. Hopefully everything works out for everyone. -
Ozen H.S. Hires a New H.C. to Lead it's Baseball Program.

Yes it is. It's all about putting a good product on the field and giving kids an opportunity to learn the game properly so that they can hopefully attract some college scholarship offers! Coach Cullivan will bring a disciplined, productive, up-tempo practice so that these kids can learn the game the right way. EXCITED! -
The Ozen Panthers are excited to receive a new baseball H.C. Waskyla Cullivan who comes with a large amount of experience and enthusiasm. He was Prairie View A&M University H.C. for the past 13 seasons and won a SWAC Championship as well as many other tournament appearances. He also was a member of Houston's Forest Brook H.S. which was a win away from appearing in the UIL State Finals. Cullivan believes that his current team is talented and looks forward to being competitive in District 22-5a. Meet Coach Cullivan during his news interview with Channel 6. News 6 [Hidden Content]

Hey Dove, my 6 year old can actually play. He is a switch-hitter and has a good glove and is pretty fast. He has several older brothers who has helped him develop faster than the average 6 yr old. He is pretty good at football and basketball but says baseball is his favorite sport!

Ozen H.S Head Baseball coach will retire after this season he stated. He's enjoyed his time but says he's ready for travel, rest & relaxation. Hopefully we can attract a quality baseball guy to lead this talented group of speedy young players. Their current lineup consist of 4 Sophs. 4 Jrs. & 1 Sr. We finally have kids that has baseball as their major sport and just need an experienced coach to take over the helm! Farewell Coach Robert Spain, thanks for everything! -

What days will the games be played on? -
Intresting, no car sales man will sale you a used car and tell you everything about it. People will hype themselves because it's their business they're selling. In the end it should be where you and your child or most comfortable because no program is perfect. I usually pray on things and that works for me. By the way, my kids are track, football and baseball players so I don't have a dog in the hunt but I'm familiar with most of the programs you mentioned. Good luck it can be stressful if you let it.
-
Sounds like a lot of whining went on in that game and not from the kids. Sore winners and sore loosers. Good thing this is the beginning and not the end!
-
Man y'all are too funny! I believe some coach because they love being with their kids and some think you can just show up with ideas and the magic begins. Lol, listen I train kids in various sports for a fee now of course and I say find someone who can develope your child's skills and study this sport before you coach. Just because you've played it mean you can coach it but at least playing knowledge is a start! Step Your Game Up, is the key!

I don't know what went on last year but I do. know that the S.T.A. Raider organization was told by the BMT Bulldogs President & some officials that they welcomed having us join STJFL last year and all of a sudden they never responded to our phone calls again. The Raiders were a well established organization with 4 different age groups. I'm wondering if the fact that they had a winning program already became a factor. If you can't coach, you can't win big no matter what talent you have. JMO

PA Memorial @ Central predictions 8/30/2013
JRidge replied to BMTSoulja1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I don't care how you slice a pie it's still pie! Memorial has too many holes too fill in their running game and need of additional receivers! Central has talent coming out of the wood works and if their coaches can decipline them and put the right people at the right positions, that in it's self will give P.A. problems! Just be glad all of BMT kids aren't in the same school! There would be no need for a prediction or even a game! Lol, seriously though, I say Central by 14! ;) -
West Brook vs Ozen Predictions
JRidge replied to Bobcatfan4life's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Ozen's defense will not give up more than 3Td's unless offense turns the ball over and gives WB good field position! Otherwise I predict Ozen 41 - WB 24, yes there should be some field goals! Should be a good game though! Just don't think WB defense is ready for Ozen's speed and talent this early in the season! I heard the Varsity got handled in there last scrimmage! :'( -
pick your upset of this comming week in 5A-4A 3A 2A
JRidge replied to skipper's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Ozen over WB will be considered an upset only because of the new Coaching staff opposed to WB coaches having a year up already! Wb defense is suspect and Ozen's defense is loaded with speed & physical athletes! Hervey is good but Randle maybe equivalent and the backup is capable! I think Ozen will have too many offensive weapons for WB to contend with! Should be a good game though but Ozen's talented receivers will be tough to deal with in my opinion!
