Just wanted to tell you guys congrats on a great season. You guys were without a doubt one of the best teams in 4A. You guys lived up to the hype which is hard to do. Your lines we HUGE and you played with heart but without all the BS. You had great team speed and never gave up. Please take this the right way :" go on up to 5a and leave us little guys alone"...lol If we had another game to play this week we would surely be in trouble as we are more beat up after playing you guys then at anytime during the season. (#61 broke his hand in the first half but finished the game as an example). Good luck next season!

This game is a no lose for me. I usually root for any local team still left so I would like to see Argile win, but the Wimberely QB played for the '09 Aledo team. So I would like to see him win it also, i'll be happy either way.

Well let's just say for a minute that the Manvel D is as good as lake Travis. We still scored 35. J Gray had  257 and 4 touchdowns. We scored 14 points more than any LT opponent. So if your D is just as good as LT you will have to score more than 35. Our D just held a 3200 yard rusher to 91, they have made much improvement since week 3. If you stop J Gray you will be the first. Matt B is also no slouch at QB, with 2500 yards and only like 5 pics.

BP, you are right our D had a very poor showing against Birdville. It was a cold rainy night and we just didn't tackle well. 37 missed to be exact. I think we have grown up alot since then. Last week we played a very good RB with over 3000 yards rushing with a huge O-Line and held him to 91 yards. The D has gotten much better. The boys have also been overheard saying they wished LT was D2 so we could play them again. Weather or not we could beat LT is not the point, the fact the boys want another shot tells you where they are confidence wise.

VP 32, We have only been 4A for 10 years.(honestly I don't know what our first year in 4A was) 01-02 maybe. So let's hear your top 10 for the last 10 years. Can't wait to see how you keep aledo out of your list.

Fair enough, I'm probably being a little touchy. We loved J Gray don't get me wrong, but someone is opening all those holes..lol. We have heard a lot of good things about Manvel.

Nobody is saying he hasn't been the key to our state titles. But in the last 10 years Aledo has made it at least to the Semi's 6 times. In 03 and 04 we lost in the regional final to Denton Ryan and almost beat them in 03. The earliest we have been knocked out in the last 10 years was the 2nd round. Gray may be the best player (RB)in high school history but like I said lets not act like Aledo wasn't good before he got here and we will still be good when he is gone.

Are you serious???? Do you need me to spell it out for you. In the Semis region 1 plays region 2.  So the fact that you were in one semi game does not mean we weren't in the other!! Anything else???

Do you realize that Aledo was in the Semi's two years in a row before Grey even got here(lost to RG III both years) And that was in D1, we only had 1200 kids and  still had two schools make the playoffs with smaller numbers  than us. Then we made the semi's in 2005. So Gray is a special player no doubt, but lets not act like Aledo wasn't legit until he got here.
