Newton JV  40 EC JV  35

I think EC has the better defense now that #44 has tightened up the LB position and Newton has the better offense all around.  EC has the best player in Roberts.  The game is in Newton.  I think this is going to be a great game.  I am picking EC by less than a TD.

I heard he got grounded from his computer after progress reports were sent home.

[/quote]  easy to get 400 when u carry the ball 40 times a game [/quote]Another uneducated run off at the mouth.  Roberts ran the ball 58 times in the first 3 games.  Thats just under 20 per game.  He was probably between 20 and 25 against Woodville as well.  Averaging around 14 yards per carry.  There really would be some whining going on if he had 40 touches a game.

Glen Roberts EC -  Anyone have his stats?

Not an upset.  K~ville will not sniff the playoffs this year.

Anybody have the stats on Roberts?  Had a 90+ run called back due to an EC block on the 30 yrd line as Roberts crossed the goal line.  I'm guessing he was around 300 without that run.

Shhhhhhhhh.  Don't wake the sleeping giant. (Kountze)  There has always been a ton of athletes in Kountze but they always focus on basketball.  They could have a good football program........but that will take away from basketball success at the level Kountze in use to.

I wl be there.  Here'a room tip for everyone.  The Hyatt place has very nice big rooms with 42" tv, microwave, mini fridge, coffee pot, free breakfast, free wifi for $89 a hight.  Its just under 2 miles fron jerryworld.  Hyatt Place Grand Prarie is the name.  There is another Hyatt Place only 1 mile from jerryworld but its $215 a night.  That one is called Hyatt Place Dallas Arlington.  Rooms are really big with L shaped couch that makes into queen bed.  Hope this helps.

[/quote]Actually I asked the question of how many tackles he had because his name was called quite a bit.  I didn't see the film just the game.  Maybe you need to read a little closer before you type some smart a$$ stuff about someone starting a post and not liking the answer.  It wasn't a dumb question....If I had game film I wouldn't have asked.  It was a very simple question that required a simple answer...15.  Instead I got a simple minded answer. 

Does anyone know how many tackles Cody Casey (EC MLB #44) had against HJ?  I'm thinking >20.

[/quote]Yes it was a scrimmage.  But the difference against Silsbee was EC didn't turn the ball over 5 or 6 times (I lost count against HJ) and EC didn't have 4 starters hurt.  (Remember in 2A many starters go both ways).  I've seen HF, HJ, and OF play.  Here is my prediction of how they finish: 1 WOS 2 Silsbee 3 HF I think OF, Buna, and HJ are evenly matched.

That's so sweet I think I'm getting a cavity..  Just kidding.  HF community needs to get behind the program and support it.  Doing much better this year and things are turning around.  We (EC) just lost to HJ on Friday but I am betting that yall will beat them.  Good luck HF.

In case yall havn't figured it out yet Kvillecats is a Jr. High student or has the mentality of one.  Come on moderators check his age and boot him off.  EC couldn't win without Tramain Thomas then couldn't win withou Hank Jones then won't win without Glen Roberts.  Yeah right.  The winning tradition will continue.  K-ville had a couple of years with outstanding tallent and now have come back down to reality.  I will refuse to reply to Kvillecats again.  If everyone else will do the same he will have to go back to watching spong-bob or playing x-box or whatever else you boys like to do.  That is all.

EC needs to get some players back.  I think we will win this game but I look for it to be competetive.  On another note.  EC had the best MLB in the district.  Was all-state 4A player.  He must have had 20-30 tackles against HJ.  I just want to see a good game where no one gets injured on either team.

EC on the road for Woodville, Kirbyville, Newton, and Anahuac.  Tough schedule.

Defense EC - Cody Casey #44 LB - I'd have to use a calculator to figure out how many tackles he had last night.  Hopefully someone will have his stats. 

Thats easy.  EC got out played by HJ.  HJ deserved the win and played better.

[/quote] When you say they didn't show up do you mean they got their butt kicked??  It's easy to say you didn't show up every time you get beat.  I went to the game.  Newton got out played and didn't tackle very well last year.  The better team won. 

LT use to suck.  The community and new coaching staff turned the program around 7 or 8 years ago.  Now they have tremendous pride in the program as they should.  I've been to a few of their games and their fans have been great.  Lots of jealousy here.  So what if some of their fans are arrogant.  You are gonna have that everywhere.  They have dominated TX football for 5 yrs straight.  The product on the field is first class.  Get over it .... or beat them.
