Hats off th HJ.  EC had 4 starters who didn't suit up tonight and 1 broke both wrists on opening kickoff.  Too many turnovers against a good HJ defense.  Thats a good recipe for a 1 point loss.  We need to get some players back.  EC will be fine.  Time for district play.  Congrats HJ on a deserving win.

He's from Pearland Dawson.  Bigger than McDonald was as a high school player.

Newton is favored to win again......Just like the last 2 years.

Yes you admired him as well as said he's all we got.  We scored 10 touchdowns in the first 2 weeks.  Roberts ran for 3 and caught 1.  That left 6 other TD that he had nothing to do with.  Yes he is our best offensive player but he's not all we got.  Go ahead and focus on getting a win next week.  Thats what we're going to do.  1 game at a time.

Jenks...This game could've been a lot worse.  Ole #27 didn't score all of our touchdowns either.  You shouldn't say that Roberts is all we have because that would mean that 11 HF players couldn't beat 1 EC player.  That would be pitiful.  Yes he is a stud....deal with it.  You forgot to mention that EC's defense shut down HF.  How many times in the first half did HF get the ball with great field position and couldn't move the ball.  Quite a few.  The best TEAM won.  It wasn't even close.  We gave HF a gift wrapped TD in the last quarter and could have scored again at the end but knelt the ball.  I doubt HF would have knelt it but we don't care.  HF is insignificant in the football world.  Jenks you should just say that HF never gave up and played hard and was just out matched.  We could respect that.

Actually both schools put the best players are on varsity.  Lets see what happens tomorrow night.  Yes we have our best 15 freshman or so on JV.  Don't forget EC has about 200 less students in high school to get football players from.  I only saw 1 player on HF's freshman team that could have helped the JV and it was Boutte.  I don't believe that would have changed the outcome but that's just my opinion. 

Dig a little deeper.  RSJ's high school coach has removed himself from RSJ's recruitment.  Why?  You might ask.  The dad has asked the coach to give him a job....  $$$...  The kid is a GREAT athlete.  He'd be a great TE or DE.  He is surely not a QB and not much of a WR either.  I believe he's a good kid.  Can't say the same about dad or the AAU coach.  It was RSJ's dad who called UT and decommited his son.  Mack isn't going to deal with "handlers" nor pay $$$ for recruits.  I wish the best for RSJ but it ain't gonna happen at UT.  It's a shame that his dad doesn't have his son's best interest in mind.  Go ahead A&M fans....Flame on... Come on randy....Your Freshman team can't beat your JV team and your JV team sure didn't beat our JV team.  I sure hope you didn't think that was Westbrook's 9th grade A team....  We don't have any freshman on our varsity but our JV is full of them.  Now if our Varsity was weak and had only won a game or 2 in the last couple of years then we would have several freshman on varsity.  Can't wait to see the game tomorrow.  Make sure and bring a cry towel.

This one will be EC all the way.  Too much depth to go along with Pre Season All State RB and Pre Season All State LB.  Glad to see HF trying to get their program back on track.  Just don't back slide after the game and start talking about the HF coach caused EC to beat your team.  Support the team and the coaches and it will all work out.  EC LB was at the Jr. Varsity game tonight.....He's a big dude.  Looks about 6' 4" 230 lbs....  That's gonna hurt : )

Well we are glad to have him.  Looks like he was slotted as Pre-Season 2nd Team All-State at LB for this year in 4A.... Not bad.  Can't wait to see him play.

Andy Evans started it all (winning in football) and set the bar at EC usually winning district and making it to round 3.  Stan and Tony V. kept EC on track.  In comes Coach Sutherland and I mean to tell you he is going to take us to the next step (deeper in the playoffs).  He isn't just coaching Varsity football, he has his finger print on the whole program.  I'm very impressed with his dedication to all of the teams from Vasity to JV to Freshman to 7th and 8th grades.  It doesn't matter if its Varsity or a Jr. High B team, Coach Sutherland and his entire staff is putting in the time and coaching the kids up.  Its all business at EC now.  There is a lot of talent coming up in Winnie to insert into "The Program".

Coaching...I would have to go with Boutee. Recruiting...I would have to go with Wise athough Boutee was a pretty good recruiter in Beaumont.  Wise just has a much larger city to recruit in.

Know the difference between FACTS and LIES....enjoy your day... 8) [/quote]Yes I have heard of Donte Raymond.  He wasn't recruited to EC.  Isn't the idea of recruiting players to your school to bring in all state type tallent?  examples:  Yates with Coach Wise and Ozen with Boutte....  I never said anything about attending feeder games.  I don't know anything about that.  I do know for a FACT that some of my co-workers played B-Ball in Beaumont and were supposed to go to West Brook.  Boutte had a try out and selected several of those guys to go to Ozen.  My co-workers were picked and did go to Ozen.  That is a fact.  I just felt like throwing a jab at you since you like to talk smack on this site and decided to talk about EC.  We run a clean program over here at EC.  We do not have to deal with kicking kids off of the team for drug abuse, wiping pepper spray out of their eyes for fighting, or worry about them slinging crap all over the oppents locker room after a victory.  Go back to hating on that midcounty school that you seem very jealous of and leave little ole EC alone.  We are doing just fine.  That is all.
