Kelly won a physical game 2-0, which ended with red cards being handed out to SA Central. Poor sportsmanship from the visiting team meant they would finish the game short handed. I'm not positive but I believe Kelly owned an advantage in all stats. Good luck at State!

Ozen looked much improved over last year. They move the ball around connecting passes, not playing kickball as they have in the past. Nederland had most of the starters on the bench the majority of the second half. The field was wet and muddy making it hard to move the ball effectively. Ozen has a chance to make it interesting for the playoff race.

Nederland boys game has been changed to Prather Field @ 5:30.

Soccer is a great game, especially if you understand it. I never had the chance to play, but I have coached youth soccer and watched for years. All of my kids played and I have enjoyed watching them. It definitely helps if you really understand the game.

Nederland Boys will be playing Friendswood (5th in region 3) Thursday and Willis (9th in region 3) Friday at the Kingwood Park Tourney. Don't know anything about either team, but should be an excellent measuring stick for the Dogs.
