  2. Ozen's first ever victory was over Kountze in 2000. [/quote] I'm almost sure the coach at that time was that washed up ex Nederland coach!!! ;D ;D ;D
  3. With every national team match, U.S. Soccer wants the television broadcast to reach the widest audience possible. However, the worldwide television rights to each CONCACAF World Cup qualifying match are the property of the hosting nation, meaning the hosting nation may distribute those rights at its discretion. In regards to the U.S. Men’s National Team’s match against Honduras on October 10, the rights are owned by the Honduras federation, which chose to sell the U.S. television rights, in both English and Spanish, to a company which opted to broadcast via closed circuit feed only. As a result, the match will not be televised by any network or cable channel. While U.S. Soccer would prefer the match be more accessible to fans, we have no broadcast rights in this instance. However, we still wish to assist our fans as much as possible in their efforts to view the match and support the team. Below is a list of Official U.S. Soccer Bars that have confirmed they will be showing the match, along with a link to other establishments also showing the match. Please note that we will continue to update this list as we receive more information. Fans will also be able to follow the match on ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker, as well as twitter.com/ussoccer. We appreciate your understanding. Most of all, we value the continued support that means so much to our players as they attempt to complete the task of clinching a spot in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. ??? ??? ???
  4. FINAL!!!! USA 3, Honduras 2 and the USA is going to the World Cup!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D
  5. I was thinking the same thing! But looking back on it, I'm going to have to tip my cap to Big Bradley. I'm guessing the thought was: Spain will hurt us up the middle with short passes and 1-2's. They're not known as team that finishes a lot of crosses. Besides, the US backline goes 6', 6'4'', 6', 6'. They'll win the aerial battles against Spain. Tuck Donovan and Dempsey inside to reduce those passing lanes as much as possible. And it worked! Well played, RoboBob. Well played indeed! FIRE BOB BRADLEY? We didn't give up any goals, but how many times did Spain cross the ball to the middle and our defenders had to dive to the ground in order to block a shot. We were extremely fortunate not to give up a goal. I still say we gave them to much space.
  6. The US got hosed again by the ref, it was a foul but no way was it a red card. Tim Howard played excellent and the backs always seemed to be in the right spot. I would like to see Bennie get more time and there are other players that need to get in. I really don't understand Conor Casey being in the game at all. It's time to see Adu, Cooper, Torres, Holden and Arnaud to name just a few. The US has players that play their behinds off and today was an example of that. I didn't like how they kept giving Spain so much space on the outside in our defending third. Possession and intensity will be the keys against Brazil.
  7. I attended the Dynamo game Saturday and sat 4 rows from the field. The Crew was warming up right in front of me, about 20 feet away. When Schelotto came over I was surprised at how small his legs are. The dude has bird legs. If I wouldn't have recognized him I would never have picked him as a soccer player. Anyway the game was good except for birdman scoring. Marshall was hammering Ching all night long.
  8. A left footed rip, and to think I left him off my fantasy team. :-\
  9. Central played better than they did the first game. LCM and Central will play for third place Tuesday night. Congratulations to Nederland's boys team for clinching the District Championship and PNG's boys for wrapping up second place.
  10. I like it when you get philosophical!
  11. Nederland and Lumberton did tie 0-0. Nederland lost it's first scrimmage of the season to Lumberton 2-1.
  12. LCM at Ned is the big game Tuesday night. Winner gets the inside track toward the district title, should be a good one. PNG and Central wins, no comment on the Ned vs LCM game because I am biased.

  14. Congratulations and good luck in the playoffs.
  15. 8 games in 9 days is tough on a team. Ned didn't play with much intensity this morning against PAM. The entire team saw a lot of playing time. Good thing is no injuries to speak of. What happened to LCM this weekend, some surprising scores?

  17. WOW! What's all that about?
  18. The game is 7:00 @ Bulldog Stadium. This is where the football games are played. Prather is at the high school next to the baseball field. Should be a good game.

  20. Is this the JV team?
  21. Nederland has the strongest returning team in the district. Looking at their pre-district schedule they will be battle tested when district rolls around. Coach B is getting them boys ready with one of the toughest schedules I have ever seen. Practice starts Monday, can't wait.
  22. Great game Dogs. It was good to see the intensity and heart displayed by all the players. The new additions to the team stepped up big time. Grant Lovelady was awesome, all the hard work showed last night. The Dogs will take it to Magnolia.
  23. Ned wins this one 31-28. Kicking game will be the difference.
  24. Shark good to see you back on here! Post a schedule so we can come support Kelly.
