It really doesn't matter who comes to 22-5A, IMO. BH, Nac, Dayton, nobody. You're either gonna beat them or not. Schools with 1200 kids have very little to no chance of beating a 1900 student team when you get to playoffs anyway. The smallest enrollment in 5A-DII championship game was 1800; probably 50+ seniors suited out. I use my WOS/Vidor analogy: merge us, we have less than 2000 kids and we kick butt. VOS baby!!!

Need us for extra points, field goals and last minute saving tackles. Just saying. I'm from the school that says your football team plays futbol in the off season = better football both ways.

No matter where Nac goes someone is gonna complain. Actually, them coming to 22-5A makes about as much sense as Livingston did. If I had my way we would be divided into 5A DI and DII districts but I don't get my way.

Brees led the league again in total passing yards...I'm telling you, a bargain. And Ed Reed is no where near a good comparison to a Drew Brees coming home to Texas. Short drive to his house in Austin. We're going to get the 20th pick and there won't be a QB coming out of college by that time who's gonna help. Need a another beast O-line guy, tight end and maybe another running back depending on Foster.

TXHOOPS I think you make a good point about the mid-range jumper and I'm a believer in defense if we get back to high school ball and away from the pros. Three things Brian English emphasized coaching while he was at Vidor: 1. Defense...every practice. 2. Free throws...every practice. 3. Mid range jump shots. It is awfully hard to beat a team that does these three things well...especially shoot those little 10 footers that kill the other team. I don't see too many teams that play that game anymore and I don't think it's emphasized anymore. Go to the hole and throw it out for a three...pretty well everyone's game plan IMO. Good old school jump shooting teams are hard to find. Charles Barkley said basically the same things about Euro ball etc.after the 92 Olympic victory. "Don't expect this for too much longer. Bill Callahan had everything to do with that. He ruined that kid's career for one playoff victory. I would gamble on RG3 in a heart beat. He is a legit pocket passer when asked to and just needs an o-line that will block for him. Good fit for Dallas at backup and might fight for the position in two years.
