Good wins for the PIrates. We looked sloppy and had cement legs in the fourth quarter but got the W. Maverick Quirante had two good games and lead Vidor to the victories. Hopefully, we get Lucas Connally back tomorrow for the Liberty game, need the extra speed and ball control that he brings. Coach Williams got us ballin'!

I have a hard time with the Carthage football posters talking smack about Silsbee's basketball team. Carthage: the new Cosby.

Sounds to me like the football boys gonna have to work their arses off to get their positions back. How do you put these frosh back on the JV squad?

LCM 70, Vidor 68 in OT. OK, so now I'm gonna go off. The final score of this game was Vidor 61, LCM 58 in regular time. The scorekeeper either due to incompetence or other reasons had the score jacked up numerous times and the officials had to correct. It may not mean anything to anyone else but it means something to me. It did not end 61 - 61 because that was not the correct score. Just saying. Yeah, I'm hot. I hate that gym with a passion and would never play them again. And no, I haven't been in that cabinet (yet).

Pirates looked decent again. Coach Williams got the team playing decent offense...need to continue working on the d. I like the up tempo pressure in the full court. Also, good use of the bench. Too bad we play in one of the toughest basketball districts in the state. Good win Pirates...

We had two kids in foul trouble as well, #4 and #11 so the foul trouble thing ain't working with me. Second half started out kinda lopsided with us at seven fouls in the 3rd period to Buna's 1. BTW, we lost Bret Hall and his brother who were both outstanding players for Vidor from last year's team. Buna had an eight point lead at half and the Pirates came back from as much as 10 with the foul deficit to win by nine. Sounds a little like conditioning and bench depth IMO.

Good to have Coach Williams on the sidelines; a lot more coaching and lot less yelling. He was teaching the entire game and the kids listen.

Yeah, I was gonna drive up to BS and watch but ain't going all the way to Goodrich to see a smackdown.
