There is a lot to be said, and not to be said about underclassmen talent. Kids change so much in a year it's hard to tell, especially with the jv and the support of varsity. If a kid is phenominal, they usually play on the varsity even sometimes if they are a freshman. All that to say for me it's about the program and coaching. You develop the kids and that continually feeds system. Some coaches such as Neumann reload with less talent because of the program; some teams like Central have all the talent they need but can't get there because the the system is bad and they need a new head coach. The BISD has issues because the kids aren't learning the same thing from elementary school to high school.

Outstanding post and some great facts in there. I like seeing the example of the WOS - Pirate games over the years. They were always fun to watch. Our kids always got up for playing the 'Stangs.

I believe we can beat at least two of those teams ranked ahead of us...especially the one in number 6 position. Bring on LaPorte!!!

Jaguars need to send two receivers, three max out and protect Mitchell. They can have a big night if they give him some protection and he can throw those darts.

That freshman team has lost one game (Lumberton..go figure) while beating both Central and Ozen easily. Not sure where your math or research is coming from.

Interstate 10 - Vidor 0 back in those days. 0 - 44 until my senior year. Everybody beat us like a drum. Played a lot of homecomings. I think Ozen and Central may rethink who they schedule for their homecomings now.
