1. Money Talks...we all know that. Great AC/DC song.
 2.
Nederland, vidor, and Livingston have pretty munched clinched playoff birth. They would all have to lose out to not be able to and that's not going to happen. If LCM can beat central then they will secure the last spot, all ozen can do now is hope they lose to MAYBE get a shot of going but we will all find out in a couple weeks
How I see it.
 3.
I see your boom-boom migraine is much better today ;D
The head referee gave it to me. I saw you called after the game.
 4. I like to think I'm a nice guy...even lovable at times. I like to think we can hold hands with our purple, feathered brethren from down the Neches. Then, I think about how many times we've played @ THEIR homecoming. I remember them leaving in the starters with a comfortable lead. I remember that it's our homecoming. For all the past Pirates: [move]RUN THE SCORE UP! 66 - 0![/move]
 5.
Montana for offense. 248 yrds rushing and 6 TD'S while still playing linebacker and leading Vidor to a 40-21 win over Central. [/quote) Montana Football for everything mentioned above plus middle linebacker.
 6. Vidor is in the playoffs with a victory over png for homecoming.
 7. Either he knew what he was looking at or he / they shouldn't be officiating. We won the game but that's not the point; if you don't know what you're doing it's even worse. Again, either he / they are doing it on purpose or they have to go...it doesn't teach the kids anthing good. Call it right or get out.
 8.
I don't think he was biased... He called several holding penalties on central. We have to be smarter than that.
Sorry I disagree, but I do. If he wasn't, then he doesn't need to be officiating high school football. He was personally responsible for 70 plus yards of penalties on us including the sacking the quarteback with ball 15 yard penalty. As head referee he's also responsible for the extra point central shouldn't have on their second score. They don't get a rekick on their penalty. He called back two TDs with holding calls on arunning football team yet jon boy must have been tackled about 10 times while mitchell scrambled around. He killed pirate drives and kept central alive. I really would like to see his stats for the night. Horrible. I try my best not to talk about officiating (other than messin with ned) because I was a soccer ref for 15 years but I can't let this one go. That sort of thing gets kids hurt.
 9. With so much on the line in that game, you would think the attendance would be better. LCM has a very realistic shot of making the playoffs. All bullcorn aside, MCM is pretty cool. I just like stirring the pot with y'all. I actually have a lot of respect for both schools and their tradition. I'm very happy we Pirates show support for our teams too.
 10.
Quirante 40 jags 21 [/quote) Quirante 40, head ref 14, jags 7. That was the most disgusting display of bias by one person I have ever seen. And, I really don't care what anyone thinks about that statement. Those are our kids out there and that stuff infuriates me...it's how kids get hurt just for starters. The game film needs to go to the UIL and at this person needs to go to the kiddie leagues.
 11. These are the kind of threads that make the board great...nothing mean, just funny.
 12.
I'm going with Vidor...are we welcome in the stands?...I don't want to get accused of scouting for next weeks game...i just want to watch some good football.
Of course...wear your purple. I only give y'all grief because y'all let me. We respect the Indian tradition.

 15.
A must win for both teams....I'm hoping for a good, injury free game. It's do or die time!
Yes sir, big game for both. Good luck to the teams...no injuries...play hard! I'll be there but really not sure to support, I care about both teams.
 16.
they beat Vidor, not to mention in a scrimage , preseason
We drug test @ our facility, I see we need that now. First, we won the scrimmage; I'm not sure which one you saw. Second, you need to get past your district...Navasota awaits.

I'd feel bad for you salivating over your desire to be in a rivalry with Nederland if your frustration from disappointment didn't make you so obnoxious. Move to Nederland, maybe you'll feel better. :) or better yet move to PNG, you'd probably fit right in!!
First of all I have moved to PNG and your so called rivalry does not appeal to me at all.  I have bad news, your so called rivalry exist merely on paper and history.  The rivalry exist now only in the amount of people that you can get to put on their purple and black shirts and attend the game on friday.  There is no hype, there is no build up of suspense between two communities fighting for bragging rights anymore.  Its just an exchange of wins, (yep its Nederlands turn this year to win) in the shadows of what USED to be one of the states greatests rivalaries!  Ive seen better plots than this played out in the pineywoods with 1A schools.  blaaaahhh  lol i laugh at your jealousy theory!!
Well said sir!  Very true as well.
both of your replies are just dumb. How can you say the rivalry isn't what it was? What WAS it before that it isn't now? When WAS that? the only difference between THEN and NOW ... is what exactly? Same stuff goes on, same passion, same trash talk, same attendance, same quality of teams,,, generally speaking. Some years both teams are good, some years neither teams are good. Same student participation, same old men talking about the history of the game at the donut shops.... I don't get your thoughts at all... As you guys say... Smh...
I was just there the other day and it didn't seem like much of a rivalry to me.
What most of you guys don't understand is how this rivalry has gone through the years. Back in the late '60s and early '70s this was a truly outrageous rivalry. The problem is that young people don't know how to limit their enthusiasm. I know because I was there. The schools were taking a lot of damage, PN-G's Totem Pole was cut down more than anybody could keep track of, a big 'N' was burnt in PN-G's field, we had PNG flags run up our flag pole and the rope cut. Now this all appears like fun but like I said young people don't know how to stay within bounds of good fun and out of line fun. Students started getting hurt simply because they were on the wrong side of the tracks! When you start counting the hospital visits then you have gone too far. Both schools got together and began working on taking this thing down a couple of notches, so those of you that think it should be more out there I just hope if you have children one of them don't end up with bumps on their head or worse.
You puppies should understand the term "sic 'em!"   ;D  ;D ;D
Truth be told...I think Nederland should be held more accountable than us....The show was in there own town...and they didnt even show up. Time to stop ganging up on Vidor and get back to smack! ;)
EXACTLY!!!! DING, DING, DING!!! NDNation, I will buy you a big, delicious hamburger at the Depot if you ever show up there, I promise. You got it! I haven't been commenting on the other MCM threads because I don't care...I bleed black and gold. I was put up to this by the people who run the site. My work here is done.....
 22. If you're talking who puts out the most professional athletes, WOS is tops. That little school could field their own professional football team and play any other school in the nation with their professional alumni.
