1. 30 - 0 by halftime. Justin runs for 200 (glad he's back); Montana rides the pine in the second half. Lumberton scores in the second half when Jeff clears the bench. 37 - 7.
 2.
yet another close game with NS. whoever has the ball last will win IMO
Agreed. Date and game time this week?
 3. After my near suicide attempt post-nederville, the doctors said to stay away from this board and double down on the lithium. What's funny is seeing all the smart phones out at the game last night and all of them on the SETX sports website. The district is wide open....
 4.

As for my thoughts about the fans. I was proud to see Vidor bring so many people to an away game. However I do believe too many are fair weather friends. Like last week all packed up and heading out and they are surprised that we onside kick, drive for first downs and make a white knuckle, toe curler out of the game. Then this week, I see grown men screaming at the boys after lets face intirely too many fumbles. These jerks can stay home. These are KIDS out on that field giving 112%. Kids make mistakes, and if we back 'em every play regardless they can feel it. And that it something they can use to keep the wind in the sails, and a 4quarter effort is something to be proud of win or lose!
gotta agree with ya on this. i had some loud mouths behind me that i actually ended up telling to shut up or leave. people like to run their suck and don't consider that they may be yelling about a kid who's parent is sitting near by. my wife held on to me much of the first half. they left at halftime. good riddance to them. they weren't true fans.
Man, I'm hearing y'all. They had one like those mentioned at the Frosh / JV Thursday. I wish they would all pack up and move somewhere else...like nederville.
 5.
For once i'm rooting for PNG to make the playoffs. I definitely like the D2 route better than the D1.
PNG or Central. Either one.
 6. THIS side of the trinity DOMINATES people west of here, stoping in houston!! FOOTBALL IS much BETTER PLAYED IN THE TRIANGLE AND SURROUNDING AREAS,EAST OF THE TRINITY!! starting with last year and moving forward, west of the trinity is GARBAGE!!. the winds have changed.
Make that 10 miles or more west of the Trinity.  sorry sc.. ;)
Move that line to the San Jacinto River and you'll have it right.
Y'all best get ready for the rematch.
^^^^^^^^No rematch this year.  One-n-done 20 4a!!!! :o ;D 8)
I doubt it. Heard the same predictions last year...how great Crosby was (not). We won't face y'all this year anyway...we'll be big school unless Central can squeeze in. PNG looking to next year.

 9. No replacement refs last night. Good game.

 12.
Here we go!!! Check the facts 12gage. Burnett would have 3 losing seasons then a playoff team. It was time for a change. Faircloth has had 3 playoff teams (1st or 2nd in District each year) and what looks to be one down year. I'll take the Faircloth 3 to 1 ratio anyday.
I agree. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
 13.
I'm a vidor fan, but this has got to be the dumbest thread!! Really, undefeated at the butch!! We pulled a rabbit out the hat tonight!! But my point is this, u can't argue about Nederlands success, bottom line they beat us... Move on, and let the cards fall... Ozen is a really really good team.. We got lucky that it didn't get out of hand in first half. And Robandana, dude u are already talking about seeing Nederland again 4 rounds deep in playoffs... One game at a time, any given Friday any team can be beat... By the way it was a great game, and a W!! That's all... 4 rounds deep lmao...
Sorry piratediehard, I will always talk about beating nederville. And, if inspires one kid of ours, so be it. I will never admit defeat even though the only thing I have now is verbage. I want nederland in the playoffs and I hope our kids believe that too. We didn't get lucky in that game, we overcame a lot of adversity, a lot of it self inflicted, to win that game. I don't believe in luck. Those kids came back with a lot of heart. I think they have the talent and the heart to go deep in the playoffs. And, I still believe we can beat nederville. Giving up ain't gonna happen. Besides, I love getting the puppies yapping!
 14.
I agree with Garrity, parking sucks, they need to pave that big field next to the stadium.  and Robodana, you lost to Nederland, get over it.
AAAHHH, but the fire is burning inside for the rematch.....
 15. This was a huge victory for the players, the coaches and the fans (I really needed it after my near suicide attempt this week). Extremely hard to come off a tough, emotional loss like the one to nederville. Savor the moment and lets get ready for Lumberton. Hats off to Jeff for some gutsy play calling and making the adjustments at halftime. Please get some new headsets...I'll buy them if y'all can't afford it.
 16.

Another heartbreaking loss to the Pirates.  Ozen needs to figure out how to hold the lead, and pull out the close ones.  This game would have pretty much sealed a playoff spot up.
I don't think Ozen will have any trouble making the playoffs
Nor do I. They are waaayyyyy too talented for that. I question their fitness.
 17. CONGRATULATIONS LCM ON YOUR VICTORY!!! SHOUT OUT TO THE OC TONIGHT! I THINK EVERYONE EXCEPT BC WON!
 18.
Shoutout to Trocket first off, good man, sat with him during the game. Good first half for the Lions but missed out on a 14-7 halftime lead by fumbling at the 1. #9 has to hold on to the ball better, holding it like a loaf of bread is not good. 2nd half, totally different story! NED came out with running basically one play (inside counter trap) and Livingston could not stop it. Hopkins is FAST! Livingston IMO beat themselves on offense in the 1st half, 2nd half it was a combo of the NED run defense and Livingston missing wide-open passes. Livingston has to develop better special teams (i'll let Trocket go in depth on that) The Lions Center has to practice those long snaps, too many high ones tonight. as for NED, if they keep having un-called for penalties on defense thats gonna hurt them in the playoffs. Enjoyed the atmosphere at Bulldog Stadium. BTW, your parking sucks!  ;) :D
First Mr. Garrity, nothing in nederville sucks, you know that. Their facilities are second to none. Second, do y'all think, just might think that nederville my be a little banged up after the Vidor game as well...
 19.
Vidor played sloppy the first half. We put the ball on the ground 5 times making for 2nd 12-13 instead of 10 or less. we dropped some passes in our hands and one could have possibly resulted in 6. we had a few penalties that killed a drive and a big one that enabled an Ozen drive and led to a score. Our secondary seemed to be slipping a little on the turf wich made for some wide open recievers. we dropped three possible pics that went right through the secondarys hands. second half, we got it together. jones was a non factor running and we pressured the qb enough to cause some bad passes, throw aways and some sacks. simply put, we shut down the Ozen o in the second half. i don't think they got more than one first down. maybe two. our secondary adjusted really well and not many recievers got open. over all, there is always room to improve. my hats off to the coaching staff for making the adjustments and the gutsy play calls required to get the win. onside kick and three plays later a fake punt, WOW! and going for it twice on fourth down on our last drive to get a td lead with 26 seconds left. no doubt the pirates were not going to be denied.
Tonight was what high school football is all about. The Cowboys would have choked and lost by three TDs.
Y'all best get ready for the rematch.
When , next year?  You can't play Dayton or SC like you played Ozen tonight.  You will be sitting at home.
We'll be going big school with you, and you know it. The mark of a good football team is when you play with adversity and you still manage to win the game. We had a lot of that before the game with you guys. You won the game last week against us, not clobbered us, not destroyed us...matter of fact, we had more offense than you. So, you better improve as well because if we're gonna measure by your standard, you'll get smacked too. Y'all had all you wanted at home against Livingston tonight. Best get ready for our brothers from down IH10...LCM.

 22. We were flat coming out of the Nederland game. Knicked up pretty bad. Missing some starters. Ozen homecoming. Trouble with headsets brought Dubois down from the press box in the second half. Eight, count them, eight fumbles. Down 21 - 10 at halftime. They still came back from all that adversity to win the ballgame against a talented, tough and inspired Panther team. This team has the heart of a champion like I have never seen. They are never out of the game. [move]WOW!!![/move]
