UIL should let Scarborough combine with Hull Daisetta and Sabine Pass for this game, then maybe this game would be interesting for more than a quarter.

I can do the same thing Alabama lost to Ole Miss and Memphis beat Ole Miss and so did Florida so I guess Memphis and Florida are better than Alabama?

rykerx, I was very impressed with your Kville team. Definitely could beat some good 5A teams. Y'all gonna go a ways this year. #4 and #24 on the defense were beasts and blew up a lot of plays against EC. Good luck to your guys against Kemp. Kville by as many as they want.

Impressive win Kirbyville, I was at the game. Good defensive scheme for Silcox...couldn't understand why EC coaches didn't counter y'all's run blitz on the delayed draw to him. Sure would set up an easy play action pass on the fake.  Also, poor management of that last 1:03 of the first half cost EC that game, IMO. 

They made exceptions to that rule for our area post Hurricane Rita if my memory serves me.

• 19 TAC §76.1001, Subchapter AA (d) Limitations on practice, rehearsal, and student participation in extracurricular activities during the school week shall be as follows:
(1) For any given extracurricular activity, a student may not participate in more than one activity per school week, excluding holidays, except as provided in paragraph
(2) of this subsection. (2) In addition to the limit specified in paragraph (1) of this subsection of one extracurricular activity permitted per school week, a student may also participate in a tournament or post-district contest, as well as a contest postponed by weather or public disaster that may determine advancement to a post-district level of competition.
(3) For each extracurricular activity, a school district must limit students to a maximum of eight hours of practice and rehearsal outside the school day per school week.
(4) The Commissioner of Education recommends that school districts avoid scheduling extracurricular activities or public performances on the day or evening immediately preceding the day on which the administration of the statewide student assessment program is scheduled for Grades 3-11.
UIL limits participation in contests per calendar week in some sports. For UIL, participation is defined as a student actually entering a contest. Example: On Tuesday night, the student’s name is on the score book but the student remains on the bench and does not actually enter the game. This does not count as participation in a UIL contest according to UIL (but does count according to state law. That student cannot participate again until Friday after school.) The Tuesday game does not count as one of the games UIL permits the student to participate in for that calendar week or for the season because the student did not enter the game. UIL Constitution and Contest Rules: Section 5: Definitions (b) Calendar week means 12:01 a.m. on Sunday through midnight on Saturday. (ee) School week means the week beginning at 12:01 a.m. on the first instructional day of a calendar week and ends at the close of instruction on the last instructional day of the calendar week, excluding holidays.

I saw the coolest parent t-shirt at a girls bidistrict volleyball game tonight. On the front it had the team logo. On the back it read: "Some people wait years to meet their favorite athlete....I raised mine".
I thought that was an awesome way to tell their daughter (and everyone else) how proud they were of their hard work and accomplishments.

They surely have a game changer that has a nose for the football,that's worth some points

I'm not making a prediction in this one.  This game always kills me.  I love my cats but always bleed my green and gold.  I just hope I'm well enough to make it.  I just want to be proud of both of then when it's over.  

Vidor and Lumberton own some pretty large tracts of it as well.

I'm only speaking for my local team, but I know there are many others. At a time where we're reading all of the smack talk of area teams getting ready for the playoffs, I would like to recognize the teams that didn't make the playoffs, but continue to play hard for themselves as well as the communities. I would like to give a shoutout to my Barbers Hill Eagles! After getting blownout to start district, they have roared back winning 3 of the last 4 and only losing to CEK by 4. They could've thrown in the towel, but didn't and continue to fight till the end of the year. Good luck to area teams in the playoffs!

Maybe me as well. I have a doctor's appointment with knee in Houston Thursday. Might as well stay there and be a Jaguar.

So in order to get to the playoff venue, one school has to drive pass the other school? That makes logical sense. Even better being a Thursday night in South Houston.

I was a marshal for this event. First day I drew Charley Hartley (Taylor's), second day Jerod Linter (we ran to Kemah), third day was Kurt Dove (Cow Bayou). You have not lived until you've ran from Orange to Kemah at 70 mph in a Skeeter for 2 hours one way. One of the coolest things I've ever done in my life.

I disagree with you about this. You need to play your starters and tune up for Dayton. You don't need to go into the playoffs with a loss. I'm hoping the Pirates play with heart and get something to build on for next year.
